Megumi Kaneko is just your average university student, except of course for her irrationally strong fear of needles and anything that involves them. One miraculous day when Megumi's friend Kana tricks her into going into a tattoo shop with her, Megumi meets Alex. Kana thinks Alex is cute, but Megumi just thinks he's weird for liking working with needles. As Kana is getting her tattoo done, Megumi and Alex bicker back and forth on the idea of tattoos.

After leaving the shop and spending the rest of the day shopping, Megumi comes home to her apartment to the sight of Alex moving in next door. To both their dismay, this was going to become the start of a feud between neighbors.
