Corpse Flower

Philippine Politician gets sick. Company freezes his body. Wakes up 2000 years later in a body of a loli.

Ignacio Asturias Luna, a 32 year old politician, suddenly got infected with a new disease while participating in rescue operations. The disease rapidly caused necrosis and was immune to most antibiotics. In a matter of days, he was already at death's doorstep. Though already accepted his fate, his desperate younger sister found a company that offers experimental cryogenesis caskets alongside preservation of neural data. With nothing to lose, he says farewell to his family and friends and proceeds to get frozen. After what felt like a long dreamless sleep, he wakes up surrounded by a group of young adults who stared at him with hopeful looks and rejoiced after he moved a bit. Turns out these were university students doing their thesis. Before making sense of anything, he asks the date. It's the year 4025, two millennia after he was frozen. Lastly, he is in a body of a loli.

Amidst the neon lights, sprawling cities crowded with lowlifes, and exponential growth of capitalism, the cyberpunk genre aims to ask a question, "In a world dominated by computer technology, how will humanity persist? What rules and ethics will humanity live with? How will humanity be defined and at which point do we cease to be human?" And as a cherry on top, I'll add orcs.
