As The Sun Rises

In a solarpunk future, the society of New Kansai makes extraordinary technological advances without sacrificing their responsibility to the natural world. Hugo, a young man from the metropolis of the Capital, struggles to find his place in a society valuing both nature and technology.

A criminal underbelly emerges in New Kansai – criminals known to augment themselves by merging with machines, rather than working alongside them. Tech corporations also consider them a threat to their ever-growing monopoly over the lives of the people.

Meanwhile, New Kansai's resource abundance causes rising tensions with a society to the east – a metropolis of unsanctioned technology and corruption. The disastrous results of the new council’s election force Hugo to fight to save everything he loves. All while harbouring a secret that might outcast him in his own society...
