Following a devastating civil war between its noble houses and a large portion of its civilian population, the country of Osvir that has stood proud over 1000 years has been sundered in two, with the nobles claiming the fertile yet landlocked lands of Roduchy to the west while the rebellion rests within the eastern shores of Piranthy.
Though both sides still seek the a complete victory, an uneasy accord was reached due to the toll of the war, with many dead and more suffering sickness, poverty and familial losses. Part of that peace was enforced with the founding The Miserati Military Academy, a school where children from both sides will be trained as leaders and soldiers, under the watchful eyes of veterans acting as instructors.
Yet even under the pretense of cooperation, schemes and ideological disagreements will rear its ugly head, and the innocent youths of tomorrow will be caught under the crossfire of undying grudges. Of battles and atrocities long past...
Greetings. I would not like to think of myself as an entirely novice writer, having written more than my fair share of fiction, though always tied to other works due to them setting up a foundation that I can work on.
This won't be the first time where I'll be writing a world that's entirely on my own merits and abilities to sell that world, but it will be the first one I'll be showing to a fairly wide audience of fellow readers and writers, which certainly makes me just a bit anxious and scared. Writing something in private and writing something where it'll be freely seen and talked about are quite different, after all.
However, something worth doing is rarely easy, and so I will endeavor to go through the trial and tribulations that all us authors often share in order to produce a piece that is hopefully at least a little engaging. If I can make at least a few people think fondly of my work, then I'd say that would be a success on my part.
