"Why does life have to be so boring? The monotony of my daily routine has become practically unbearable lately. It’s really just been one mundane event after the other."

Despite seeming like a typical charismatic overachieving high school student, these are some of the thoughts that Shirase Ayato has been struggling with recently. Although he was promised that high school is supposed to be the best years of his life, half of it has already passed by, and he has yet to experience anything exceptional.
As he continues his academic and personal endeavours, however, strange and inexplicable things start happening that make him doubt the very reality he finds himself in. Will his search for answers lead him to some bizarre truth, or simply down a rabbit hole of surrealism?
