Speaking frankly, I wasn't able to keep up with the scale of the story. I wanted to do too much and underestimated the competition's deadline and now that it's near, the story is starting to move faster. That's why I can't refute the validity of what you're saying.
As for Ayato's feelings for Arisa, they're still in a very early stage. Like an infatuation or a crush. His insecurity and jealousy, I think, is proof of that. Under ideal conditions, I would have liked to have been able to portray the progression of their relationship in a more natural manner.
The story will end in another 4-6 chapters, and I hope that their relationship will be just a little bit more developed by then, if still somewhat juvenile.
However! It's my hope that the reader will finish the story and think that Ayato and Arisa will be OK, that their relationship will eventually mature into something that more closely resembles what I wasn't able to put on paper.
As always, Tomoyuki, thanks for reading!
