Hi, thank you for reading my story. It's not really inspired by any anime that I've watched. But if I were to be honest, while writing this I had something like Kingsman + Monster. (However, I do planned on watching Kaiju No.8.)
It's just like you said, my writing style is WAY to off. Basically, the reason for it might've to do with what I usually read, which is 'English-translated Light Novel'. So I've been using writing style similar to that of a translation.
An yeah, the amount of grammar mistakes is a lot. It's hard for me to decide when to place a period, a comma or even use those strange ones like ';', '–', '—' and much more. I do believe they're important, just I haven't get a grasp for them yet.
For the story felt more like 'explaining' too, thank you for noticing. When I learned about 'show don't tell', they always say to make the reader feel the action by showing how it would feel by the five sense. But man, it's hard to find the words(as in vocabulary) to express what I'm writing. So the story became more like me trying-hard to tell the reader what and how happenned.
As for the perspective, because this is a 'Third Person' not-limited? I guess? I was confused to express what the character felt in mind because I thought it would be off if somehow the reader would say "Huh, how did you know the character would think that?". But then, it's true, the character monologue has to be expressed by the character itself rather than me 'explaining' what they think.
For the constest, I don't really planned on winning it *double peace*. I just thought it would be fun to see how much I've grown for the past 4 series (including this one). And yeah, I'm sure the organisers would more or less thought about 'romance' or even 'slice-of-life' kind of story.
Anyway, thank you so much for reading this. And your comment on the writing itself is huge motivation boost for me. I'll try my best to be a better writer. Although, I don't really planning on becoming the world's best writer, I just thought that making story for a hobby is fun. Never (and I repeat, NEVER) in my 20-something years of living had I thought that one day I would even write a story. HECK, I've never even thought that reading a story itself is fun. But alas, here I am.
