This chapter had an incredible moment of surprise when Buckle’s song mesmerized the troll! Who would have thought that a lullaby-like tune could stop a giant in its tracks? The emotions in the song were so raw and haunting, it’s easy to see why the troll froze. It’s also a nice character moment for Buckle, who usually comes off as tough but here shows a side of vulnerability. His song wasn’t just magic, it was personal, and I think that’s what made it so effective. Brilliant writing!
