I'm back with a pretty short chapter, but the story is picking up its pace!

As always, I'm learning new things about the craft everyday as I write. One of it being that I'm going about this way too slow! I'm about 15,000 words in and I'm just now getting to the inciting incident.

So, I apologize to any reader who's come this far and feel as if the story was dragging. I'm gonna be working hard to make sure the rest of the story doesn't feel that way.

2 chapters in a day! I feel like I'm on a roll, though I am a bit mentally exhausted.

I'm still implementing what I learned from yesterday and adding more motion to my writing as well as focusing on dialogue.

Now, I'm pretty sure I said in an earlier chapter that there was going to be some action by this chapter. And I'm sorry.

I swear there's fights and action in this light novel! I just need to get back to work and pick up the pace!

I'm back with another chapter and have been trying to improve with each one I post!

What I tried to improve on in this chapter and the next ones continuing forward is bringing motion to my prose and to my story!

I knew that something was off when I read some of the other chapters and while reading the second volume of Failure Frame by Kaoru Shinozaki, I realized it was that I was moving way too slow!

And I also learned a bit about the function of dialogue and how it is an ACTION. It makes sense once you hear it, but I didn't really understand it until I saw it in motion while reading Failure Frame.

It's honestly been crazy how much I've been learning about the craft these past few days, even if my story is a bit generic and sloppy lol.

With each chapter I'm posting, I'm starting to really learn a lot about the writing process and also about discipline.

If this was me from a few months ago, I would've posted 5 or so chapters than call it quits, never touching Google Docs and forget about any dreams I had about becoming a professional writer.

But now, I'm really starting to light my own fire! I really want to grind and become a published light novel author, so I'm gonna work hard and study even harder to make it a reality!

Never thought that the hardest part of posting these chapters was coming up with a title lol. I'm not gonna lie, I was brainstorming for about 10 minutes on a good chapter title before I said, "screw it" and went with this current title.

I'm tired and I gotta work early tomorrow but I'm glad I was able to get this chapter out!

The plan was to write and post this chapter yesterday but I was super tired and the story took a turn that took me a while for me to adjust around.

I guess that's what I get for completely winging this thing lol.

New novel, new me!

This makes it the second time I've joined a contest. The first time I couldn't finish the manuscript on time, so I'm writing like a madman this time to at least finish this one!

I've learned a lot from my past novel attempt, and I've read a heck of a lot more! I just hope that it reflects in my writing!

Either way, to anyone who sees this, I hope you were the slightest bit entertained by the first chapter!

I'm making this all up as I go but I should be able to get the second chapter posted by tomorrow.

So I wasn't able to deliver my promise on posting this chapter yesterday. It's kind of a bummer but it really showed just how hard daily posting is, especially when you want to post a chapter that's half decent!

But the chapter is out and things are escalating fast! I don't really outline my stories so I'm figuring it out as I go along (and it's been fun so far!)

Now, about posting frequency, I'll try to post this next chapter by Sunday. If I can do that, then I'll try to commit myself to posting every other day, which I'm sure will do wonders for my writing process since I can take a little break and let my draft breathe before I go through and edit the thing!

Hello to all the folks who made it down here!

This is a silly new series that I started. I had couple chapters from a different story posted about a month ago, but took a break and decided that the story was a bit too dark and didn't lean in a direction that I wanted to spend my free time after school working on.

Anyways, I plan on making this a wholesome romance with a lot of little banter between the two MC's!

Now I know that this chapter is LONG, but I felt that all of this was needed to set the stage of the story and (to be honest) I was having too much fun with the little banter near the end of the chapter! lol

I'll try and post the second chapter tomorrow, but no promises since I'm still in school.
