dare i say this epilogue was my favourite chapter of this whole story (yes, i am picking favourites even though i enjoyed every chapter).
this reads so deeply human, full of heart, emotion, possibility and a sense of calmness. for the first time, like riku himself says to liora, a chapter in this story isn’t driven by purpose but with uncertainty and no destination. i am so happy for the people of this world and i will miss reading about riku’s adventures.
you’re a brilliant, skilled and thoughtful writer, more than anything. i need to read more from you. please never stop writing (and while you’re at it, maybe write a little something about riku’s life afterwards too even though he says he isn’t driven by a set purpose and well, it looks like his fate has been left unto the reader). would love to see riku a bit relaxed now too.
okay i am rambling but seriously, i loved this. yes, it was fast-paced in the middle and i did have trouble catching up in a few chapters (that’s also bc i am not a reader of very action-heavy stories) but that didn’t deter my enjoyment of this novel. it kept me company on a dull day (several dull days rather).
thank you for sharing your work. <3 (oh and some lines in the epilogue made me tear up T_T)
