I just realized that I have read three chapters without blinking! 😅 The whole exchange between Aster and Diane is so sweet. I loved the energy, the tentative comraderie, and the easy way they interact and connect with each other. The lake scene was so teasing and playful! PERFECT atmosphere!!
The part with the animal they had to "release" broke my heart, but I think both of them handled it in the best way they could. Diane is right, having some hardships in the beautiful dream world definitely makes it feel more real.
