What is an Achievement?

Akiko’s grown quite a bit in such a short time, already refusing to run away from danger and choosing to fight! Proud of her, she is becoming more like Akira over time. That last speech is a great way of showing that! Not willing to just surrender to the empire and encouraging others to stand and fight even against these kinds of odds against them. Also she’s great with a sword now too, can’t wait for more improvement!
Good on Akiko and Keiko choosing to learn more about the prophecy. I’m proud of the former in particular for doing this and choosing not to run from who she is “supposed” to be. I would say there’s way more to her than just being Akira’s reincarnation, but embracing this new side of you isn’t bad at all. And Masako being manipulated to take care of the person that killed her previous self… this conflict has my heart racing and I am prepared to shed tears over it.
Masako walking around the city, still pondering both her and Akiko being changed into different people… into their past selves. As good as it is that she’s feeling nostalgic about being there… something tells me she won’t want to go back home and that will cause more conflict with Akiko. So Kenji’s been captured by the Empire huh?
Akiko and Keiko being separated from Kenji and to help them out will certainly make things much more difficult for these girls. Akiko feeling guilty about all the trouble she seemed to have brought to this town just by being Akira’s reincarnation… I want to give the poor girl a hug. It’s not your fault, it’s that damn Empire’s!
I don’t blame the girls for being so disgusted, not surprising that slavery is still a thing in this world but it’s just so awful to see regardless. That shopkeeper is such a smart guy, defense and outsmarting your opponent is just as good as simple tests of strength in battle! Having Akiko learn about Akira’s personality beyond his skills is a good way for her to see what it means to be his reincarnation. All those heroic acts only to become someone disillusioned by the Empire he worked under before dying… such a shame…
Masako being the reincarnation of the warrior who was wielding the soul blade against Akira is such a shocker and provides great conflict that will eventually lead to a strong confrontation between her and Akiko. The weapon eventually controlling her too, transforming her into her past self instead of the friend Akiko has known for quite some time… you’re gonna make me cry by the end of this story huh? Damn it… you can fight it Masako!
That flashback to one of Akira’s battles was so intense. I love the way you wrote the combat in this story, that soul blade sounded so terrifying and Akira was so cool to have overcome it! And now Masako is being chosen to wield that same weapon, likely against her friend who is the reincarnation of Akira… this will be a heartbreaking encounter when the two friends meet again huh? I was afraid of this happening and now it’s coming true… Hope Masako won’t be completely under the Emperor’s control once she picks those up.
Masako being captured by the empire, hm? Will probably either be held for ransom in order for Akiko to surrender, or she will be turned against her via manipulation or mind control. Or at least that’s what I’m assuming here. I find all of this talk about memorizing formulas in order to use specific magic as quite a unique way of doing it, and having crystals to speed up the process is neat too! I’m sure with enough time Keiko will be skilled with magic through more practice! Akiko wondering if Akira will come back and her personality will be erased, I hope that won’t happen. In order for their goals to succeed, both Akira and his reincarnation have to wok in tandem!
Poor Keiko looked down, never do that when flying or when you’re high up! Ah, so now we know the full truth about Akira’s reincarnation into Akiko, very interesting stuff. The way this world works is strange, but I’m very intrigued by the concept alone. I wonder if Akiko will get the chance to actually talk to her former self and get some advice, maybe that will help her rescue Masako!
Poor Masako, being so scared on her own and wondering what would happen to her if she got caught, stay strong! Your friends will find you soon! A new character introduced, Kenji, and he seems pretty cool so far. Being able to summon a wyvern from a crystal and automatically knowing Akiko’s name… so mysterious. May he be a trustworthy sort rather than someone who’s shifty, because the girls need all the help they can get!
Well it’s a good thing they did that “tongues” thing, a spell to help people completely understand your language is quite a useful one! I gotta say, I like how there’s three girls here who have been brought to this world instead of just having one, feels so unique compared to a lot of other isekai stories. It’s so cool to see Akiko making good sue of Akira’s abilities, but I’m sad to see her get separated from her friends. Would have been great to have a full party, but it wasn’t meant to be. Hope they get reunited soon!

I was so scared for Akiko until she demonstrated the sudden muscle-memory that she had never experienced before, those baddies just couldn’t catch her! The fact that her parents didn’t answer her calls, they should be ashamed that they weren’t more careful when it came to their own daughter. And now she and her friends are being dragged away by a dark cloud, thanks for nothing mom and pops!
Oh, Akiko… your life is gonna get much less normal from here on out. She seems like a nice girl, hard working and has great friends, something tells me something bad will happen to her soon though, poor girl will get hit hard huh? Ah, Akira’s spirit still lives? Interesting, I’m curious to see how the captain’s spirit comes into play with our newly introduced protagonist!
Quite the introduction! Already I’m quite invested with Akira and how conflicted he is with the empire. Having to hurt innocent civilians for the sake of a mission. And having his death right as soon as he sees those evils of the empire too… tragic. But since this is just the start, it seems we’ll see his next life sooner rather than later…
