The “Shelved” idea is terrifying. They didn’t die. They became part of a story he didn’t mean to write. It’s like creation punishing itself for existing. I love how Haise regrets it immediately, that one whisper, “I didn’t want this.” That line hurt.
“The Silent Phantoms” section gave me chills. It reads like classified intel from Heaven’s black ops division. No banners, no songs, no records — cold, perfect. I LOVE when worldbuilding hides inside horror.
The emotional whiplash between despair and wonder is so well balanced. Last chapter was rain and regret; this one is literally light and redemption. You can feel him healing just by existing.
This prologue feels like it’s not just an introduction, it’s a curse being written into reality. The “broken boy” isn’t gone , he’s just buried inside the god he becomes. That’s what makes it tragic and beautiful.
