Now I understand what Author is cooking, this is genius. In Indian culture, the mother is often the primary spiritual and moral guide. By mentioning her specifically, the author anchors Kai's trauma in his roots. It shows that he has to kill his "old self" (his Indian upbringing) to survive his "new world" (Aetheryon). By having Kai violently reject this, the author is portraying the ultimate rebellion. For us, an Indian reader, Kai isn't just "becoming an anti-hero"—he is experiencing a "Crisis of Faith" that many young people feel when they see a world that doesn't reward goodness. He is challenging a philosophy that has been 5,000 years in the making. This is philosophical masterpiece.👏👏👏👏👏

wow, that's some high level of strory telling. Didn't expect this chapter to be this good. Best chapter of whole series, for me.
