I like this introduction to Diane. She’s practical and kind, and her reaction to the events are believable. I liked the little bits of sensory information like the buzz from the streetlights.
I wasn’t expecting the seeker to be a beast! That was quite a shock, and I can see her being paralysed by fear. I wonder what it was that made her the person that needed to be found?
It’s a great start, I’m interested to see where it goes.
