I really like the tempo that Masaru's picking and scratching sets throughout the first part of the chapter. It's a cool way of using his character to create atmosphere. 😄

Great story. Congrats on making finalist: 100% deserved.

The choice of format was really interesting, and reminded me a lot of House of Leaves. The story definitely would have suffered for being told more traditionally.

*Very* strong Satoshi Kon vibes (Satoshi K-On maybe, lol (ignore me)) in all the best ways. The first few episode summary chapters left me feeling genuinely quite unsettled.

Not even to mention the surprising array of social issues you managed to weave in and address respectfully, without at any point coming across as either tiresome or preachy.

Yeah, overall just really impressive storytelling. Well done! 😁

I really hate the vibe of this (in a good way, I mean)...

Not only is the scenario from Lotte's perspective unsettling, but the idea of being hyped to watch a show that maybe defined your childhood and seeing it's turned into... *this*, where everything that you loved about it is falling apart is just plain depressing.

Really characterful story. Didn't realise it was only ~20,000 words until about half way in...! 😵‍💫

As such, I guess the ending felt a bit abrupt, but, in fairness, it was unfortunately realistic... 😅

Still, really enjoyed it. Marnie's arc and the exploration of his character were a definite highlight for me. Chez was also there. 😆 Can't be mad at a good BL tease, hehe.
