I think even with that approach, there's still a way to do it that feels more natural. Like in my story, the main character is also somewhat analytic and nerdy, so maybe you can see how I show that off without doing the whole script thing.

Some feedback: the prose feels like TV/Movie prose where it's like a script narrating every single action. It's not natural and feels very awkward to read. I'm not really sure if that's what you're going for as a style thing, but if not, then maybe it's something to look to revamp alongside other grammar things.
