It does sound like overall the conquest was a good thing for the continent. If it's only been 16ish years since the conquest was over, I'm surprised the area isn't more fractious. Then again they do have assassins attacking every few chapters. Hopefully Rakkan has a plan to help root them out. Thanks for the chapter.

That explanation of Tamara's gives us so much insight into what happened and how things went wrong. I appreciate that she's not looking for forgiveness. Uthien being able to make clock parts is awesome and the way he barters with Morenna to both of their advantage is very skilled. Look at that guy go!
