Hello,
Those are not harsh at all :). For number 1, I guess I am going with the Hideaki Anno method of naming where he obviously named people after battleships from Japan in WW2. Besides, I am not really planning on selling this anyway. I'm just writing it to write it because I'm astonished that other people are checking it out to me. I can change the names pretty well though.
For number 2, I guess there are some possibly other reasons for her chosen to be captain as well. There are some scenes that show her ability later on, but this is an AI controlled society so who knows really. Lots of things and concepts to dig into though. I see what you are saying though and I agree. I will see what I can do as I move forward and onward.
