Omg, hello!
The biggest inspo for it was my brothers and my BFF growing up in the early 2010s. Each struggled in their own way with finding their identities because some of their interests were 'girly'. I'm more fluid myself, and didn't figure that out until I was much older. So I wanted to use witchcraft (something that's been shoved into the gender binary) to explore how difficult it can be to figure out who you are when your interests/talents try to shove you into one box or the other.
