Chapter 271:
En Passant Grandmaster
Okisato opened the game with g4, the Grob opening. Õnne actually let her mask slip a bit as an angry scowl appeared on her face.
"Let's try that again, shall we?" she smiled as she resigned and promptly issued a rematch.
"Uh, you just resigned."
"Nope, I quit just in time for the game to be aborted, thus it's essentially a draw. Now this time show me your REAL opening."
Once again, Okisato opened by moving his pawn to g4, but this time he made sure to wait a bit so that Õnne wouldn't be able to abort the game. With a venomous click of the tongue, Õnne decided to bite and moved her pawn to d5.
"And here I thought you'd go for a Double Grob," Okisato taunted as he moved his pawn to h3.
Õnne simply shot him a murderous glare and moved her pawn to e5.
"Whelp, that plan was a bust," Valve thought as Okisato moved his pawn to d4.
Õnnee seemed to be playing something similar to her preferred opening as she opted to move the knight out to c6, but that allowed for a pawn trade at e5 starting with d captures e5 and knight captures e5. Next came bishop g2, but despite the pawn at d5 already being well protected, Õnne added one more layer by moving her bishop to e6.
Next came knight c3, then bishop c5, and finally knight f3 before the moment of peace ended.
"Check. You really are getting on my nerves, boy," Õnne angrily smiled as she captured the knight at f3 with her knight.
"Right back at you. I've got enough crazy women to deal with in my life," Okisato snarled as he captured the knight at f3 with his e-pawn.
"Oh well too bad. I'm one and this queen is two more," Õnne taunted as she moved her queen to d6.
"I wouldn't count your queen as a crazy woman," Okisato grumbled as he moved his pawn to f4.
"Uh, you ever hear that queens are known as "mad queens"?" Õnne shrugged as she moved her pawn to h5.
Unbeknowst to Õnne, she had just allowed Okisato to gain the edge, but only if he moved his pawn to f5, which he did. And then Õnne did something even more outrageous; she castled queen's side completely giving up her bishop at e6 which Okisato promptly captured with his f-pawn.
"Well that looks like it's it," Virve shrugged as Õnne moved captured the pawn at e6 with her f-pawn.
Okisato had the same line of thinking as he moved his queen to e2, yet Õnne still appeared to be smiling, even as she played the baffling pawn to a6.
"You're not gonna throw in the towel?" Okisato asked as he captured the pawn at h5 with his g-pawn.
"Why would I? The game's far from decided," Õnne countered as she moved her knight to f6.
It was in her own mind as everyone else was able to tell she was screwed.
"Õnne's being brave, but Maila can tell the bad man is winning," Maila thought as Okisato moved his bishop to g5.
And things only got worse for Õnne as she decided to move her king to b8, giving Okisato the chance to castle queen's side. Õnne wasn't deterred and moved her d-rook to f8, but Okisato could see the lines and moved his bishop to f3.
"What was that? Now the knight can run off with me in the middle of the night," Õnne taunted as she moved her knight to h7.
"And I can just move my bishop away," Okisato grumbled as he moved his bishop to e3.
"And if I nudge my rook forward?" Õnne smirked as she moved her rook to f7.
"I move my other bishop," Okisato retorted as he moved his bishop to g4.
"Then how about another nudge," Õnne pouted as she moved her rook to f6.
Now Okisato decided to let his sadistic personality come to the surface as he slammed his knight down on e4. "You get fucked."
Õnne blinked for a bit before a malicious smirk of her own appeared on her face. "Oh no, I'm forked. PSYCH! The horse is off to the glue factory!" she cakled as she instantly captured the knight at e4 with her d-pawn.
"And your queen is off to the graveyard," Okisato snickered as he captured the queen at d6 with his rook.
Õnne's smirk began to vanish as she began biting her lip in frustration. Yet she didn't give up and captured the rook at d6 with her bishop. Okisato meanwhile moved his queen to d2, prompting Õnne to move her pawn to g6.
Even if Okisato captured said pawn, he'd still be winning, yet he opted to play the more devastating queen to d4, prompting Õnne to move her h-rook to f8. Now the pawn at g6 fell to Okisato's h-pawn, but Õnne still seemed confident.
"And now my rook's safe and your pawn's gone. What now!?" Õnne nervously sirked as she captured the pawn at g6 with her rook.
"I do this. Check," Okisato snickered as he moved his queen to a7.
"Yeah I quit," Õnne scowled as she resigned.
Her only move should had decided to keep playing was king to c8, yet her position was completely losing regardless.
Now free to leave, Okisato left while Õnne analyzed the game.
"Ugh, damn castle did me in. And they say castling's good. Bullshit I tell ya!"
"And he even played a trash opening just to mess with you," Külli growled.
"Well, Meelis will be sure to punish me for this," Õnne blushed as she reached for her phone.
But much to her dismay, it was out of battery.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
"Ugh, somebody gag her before people complain about her screaming," Valve snarled.
