Something new

I have no idea how to feel about this. Everything seemed to be going the good way but again something I have never had to deal with before.

So I have been with Shara like always for the past half a year and I noticed she has a few bruises on her arms. They looked a couple of days old. Seeing it on her got my brain working, but I hesitated to ask her, because maybe she had an accident and I didn't want to drag something she probably wouldn't want to talk about.

I was hoping nothing serious happened. The next days I was on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary. We were talking like usual and went out once where it dawned on me, what is not as usual.
She acted a bit cold towards me. I have no idea why she was like that, so I told myself to prepare mentally for questioning her the next day or two.

I was planning to wait two days but what I saw the next day made me drop it and ask on the spot. She had a deep scratch on her left arm.

So I asked her what this all about and I didn't get a very satisfying answer. She said things like it was an accident and other unconvincing reasons. I doubled down and asked if someone did it to her, like at home or on the street and I got the same outcome. After that, she looked really out of place, so I stopped, but reassured her to tell me if its actually something bad.

I hope she is telling the truth and it's a one-time occurrence. I'll be on the lookout because this is unacceptable.
