Chapter 14

After everything that happened in puebla, john then stayed for the night in mexico city instead, in a 3 star hotel. The next morning, right after his bath, one of his security handed over his phone.

*Ring*

"Hello sir john, care to share the details of your mission so far?" The man on the phone said

"Hello mr president dennis espresso, before I report, just what else will I do in here?" John

"It will depend on your report." Dennis

"Fine." John said before explaining everything that has happened in the mission

"So she just chased you away after that right? Hahh.. what you did was right, but cant you just take away the sickness altogether?" Dennis

"Nope, I cant. There are still things that I can and cant do, though I did definitely help them." John

"Ok then, im not pushing you any further than that. Anyways, is it true that you can make more of you?" Dennis

"Im not sure if thats the right word, but I can definitely activate a person to being a mutant. Though the chances of one being a mutant is right about 30-40%, and the chances for ones powers are absolutely random, one only has about 1% chance of getting a power which is very strong. Just like what happened with beth, and I bet her power is fire." John

"I see. Can you do me a favor and also try to activate the mutant thingy?" Dennis

"Why? I can only guess that its only for your military." John

"Actually, yes. As the philippines already has the storm guardian, as thats what they call her, I would also want someone like that." Dennis

"How about using beth?" John

"Yeah, we still need to have medical check with her if she still has the mental illness or something, so its gonna take a long time before we can officially tell her to the world. And there is also her mother, which is a valuable witness against the syndicates of mexico." Dennis

"Whats wrong with that? Though I can still try to make more mutants for you if you wish." John

"Please do--" dennis

"But you have to pay me with something. Equivalent exchange is to be exact." John

"Hahh.. then what do you want for payment?" Dennis

"Its really very hard to think about it, but one thing pops up into my mind. That when I make another, please do treat them well, and make a law on discrimination against mutants." John

"Oh, its that simple? Consider it done! So, when will you be able to do this sir john?" Dennis

After the phone call, and after he ate breakfast at the hotel, they then head towards city hall where some police and dennis himself were waiting at the parking lot.

"Good to finally see you sir john." Dennis said as he shook johns hand, after john got out of the car

"Yes, good to see you too. So, are these guys the ones you want to be mutants?" John said, looking at all the police in formation

"Yes, and if possible, I would want one or two of them very strong." Dennis said as they walk towards in front of them

"But why only police?" John said

"The military couldnt get here in time." Dennis said

"Oh.. alright then." John said before he began

After some time of touching foreheads, in order to activate their powers, john sensed danger. Then he saw a small rocket flying towards them, and stopped it with electromagnetism, before he sent the rocket upwards to blow it up using lightning. When they all noticed what was happening, many rockets and bullets came flying towards them from both ground and air, where john intercepted all of them with a high voltage electric barrier in front of them.

"Stop all this nonesense!" John shouted before he let out an electrical blast within a mile radius

"Whoa! What was that?" One of the police said as the rest of them were just about to pull their guns out

"I think they are the problem." Dennis said, pointing towards the pile of dead bodies around them

There were now quite a lot of dead goons with guns in the street and at the parking area, and houses burning due to assault helicopters crashed on them.

"They are probably the syndicates and cartel within the city." John said to dennis, before a police suddenly screames in pain

"What happened to him?!" Dennis said, when the other officers try to tend to him

"We dont know sir! His head just suddenly in pain." A police said

"Let me take a look." John said, pushing aside some of the police gently

John then touched his forehead, to feel what might be his condition.

"So, is he hit? Whats his illness?" Dennis said

"Hes not sick, thats a fact. But I have to say congratulations mr president." John said

"For what?" Dennis said as everyone was confused as well

"You now have a very powerful telepath. Meaning, he can read the minds of everyone at a given radius." John said, which really surprised everyone

After all that, he was given a free plane ticket back after 3 more days, where he also explained everything to his family after he got back home. Where he has quite a lot of requests in store for him when he gets back.

"So bro, I know that your mission was a success and it ended in just 2 days. So what did you do in the remaining 3 days in mexico city?" Jasmin said

They were all now at the kitchen table, where john is reporting to them on what just happened.

"Well, I trained them on how to use their powers on the remaining 3 days there, like what I did with you guys." John said

"I see. So how was their training?" Tod said

"All good, and they are all using their powers as they want to. But there is also another powerful mutant there." John said

"Oh? So whats his power?" Jasmin said curious

"Mind Reading, and very powerful at that! If he didnt have his police training, he would have died from mental stress. Though I helped a bit by slowly supressing his powers, until hes ready." John

"You can do that too?" Angel said, surprised, as john nods

"Hmm.. bro, what if you can just activate all people in the world of their powers?" Jasmin said

"Jasmin, thats a really bad idea." Angel said

"Yeah, imagine all the chaos that might happen in just a few days." Tod said

"Also, the death rate for activation is about 3-5%, depending on what kind of power one has. Imagine applying that on a world scale, there would be mass deaths. I cant help everyone you know. Besides, I might be too tired by the time I made such a move." John said

"Just like with that officer in mexico right?" Angel said as john agrees

"I see. Thats alright." Jasmin said

"Anyways, how are you?" John

"Well, im hesitating on continuing my studies. You know that the missions they give are sometimes hard right?" Jasmin said

"For me, if I have to choose for you, I would say that you should choose to fulfill your missions if you want to be a hero. But if you really miss studying, then you may go for that, and I will have to activate more mutants to replace you. Cause you can only choose 1 of them, since there is only 1 of you." John said

"Hes right jasmin. Anyways, if you really want to learn more, you can always just bring books so that you can read on your free time." Tod said as angel agrees

"Or just bring your phone with you to search in the internet." John said

"Alright, I will do that." Jasmin said

"And what else did you do?" John said

"Well, just controlled the weather for the crops. Thats all." Jasmin said

"Thats all? Why so few?" John said

"Maybe cause I also said what you said, that its better off we kill majority of muslims in southern mindanao if we want to control the communist party." Jasmin said

"Ah, I see. It will become really complicated if we do that, but at least thats the easiest solution." John said

"Whatever the case, killing is always not the answer. God forbids killing among brothers and sisters--" tod said before being cut off

"Actually, hyawei also said that I will be the judge of mankind if they deem worthy of meecy or not. So as his representative, its all up to me. Which means that he doesnt forbid it with me, and I trust my sisters judgement as well. Also, he even said that he said nothing to us in any form, as the scriptures are all man made" John said

"Hahh.." tod sighed

"He also said that in human history, victors of wars always have the right to change history as they see fit. So there is no telling if such history or if the scriptures themselves are telling the truth or not." John said

Tod didnt comment any further, and dismissed their family meeting.
