Chapter 17

There at a dark room, where there were only lights of the operating table, which had 2 men in both tables. Which one was unknown, and the other none other than the mind reader, where both are unconscious through sleeping gas and has caps connected to a device. As this was an operation, all of them were wearing lab coats, except for the patients. And the patients both are also constrained to prevent any other movement or escape. Where one of the patients is old, while the other is the young mind reader. As both the doctor and professor was behind the window, in another room which connects to the other room, there were also 6 nurses aside at the side aside from the 2 patients.

"Both patients are ready professor." Nurse A said

"Are you ready doctor? This will become a major break through for science if this works." The Professor said

"Yes, im ready." The doctor said

"Let the operation commence." The professor said, which is the signal as well

In that instance, they then turned on the machine. When electricity flowed through the caps, both patients woke up in intense pain, as if their mind is fightning against the flow. All until the old patient went brain dead.

"Operation completed. Now check the patients for any changes." The professor said

"Yes sir." All the nurses said

Then after some careful check up of both patients and their vitals, it was then determined that only the old one was brain dead, though his body was still alive and well.

"Doctor, its a success!" The professor said with a smile

"Wake him up now." The doctor commanded the nurses

The nurses then shut down the sleeping gas and unfastened the straps to the constraints, where after a few minutes, the young patient woke up.

"How are you feeling now sir?" The doctor said

Meanwhile, on the continent of africa, john is doing it yet again.

*Ring*

"Hello john, whats the progress of the mission now to suppress the rebel forces in africa?" Dueta

"Its going well enough, since some are now reporting on activities of rebel forces." John

"Ok. But please do tell me on why the weather report for africa says that it has lightning storms all over the continent?" Dueta

"Cause thats what I did this time as well." John

"Dont you still have your humanity with you? You could kill innocent lives!" Dueta

"Are you in a position to talk about lives mr president? When the drug war also has quite a lot of collateral damages as well." John

"But what you are doing is on a different scale at all! Even the african presidents and leaders are all weeping in front of me to stop you. You have already cancelled both land and air routes for travel and goods, you have killed many bystandards, and you have made a real mess out of the lives of the people in africa." Dueta

"So, aside from me going to battle as a soldier, what else would you propose to have me do instead of this?" John

"You know, with great power comes with great responsibility--" dueta

"That only works with someone not like me mr president, cause im on a different league altogether, as gods representative." John

"Hahh.. I want you to stop now please. What you are doing is already considered very painful to hear." Dueta

"I know of the consequences when it comes to this kind of decision mr president. But this is really the most easiest solution that I could have thought of, which has also really helped the people of this continent the most. Many terrorists and rebels has already surrenderred,any has been reported, many has even been killed due to their ignorance. But if you will say to cancel the mission, then its alright." John

"So you will cancel what you have done?!" Dueta said sounding happy

"Yes. Im also not a bad guy you know, I just thought of a better solution. Thats all." John

"Hahh.. fine. It is as you say." Dueta said feeling a bit annoyed

"So, how is my sister doing with her missions?" John

"Just fine." Dueta

"I hope you are not also sending her to the battlefield, aside from the fact of her powers, she has her limits." John

"Yes, yes. I know. You already told me many times to never include her in terrorist suppression missions." Dueta

"Thats good. Cause with her power of weather control, even if she can control the weather, that only means little in the battlefield." John

"So you have already seen a real battlefield?" Dueta

"Right before I came to the conclusion of whats happening now, I happen to just try and do some real work for once. But in the battlefield, if your just fighting a battle at one side, you wont go anywhere at all. Which is why I have decided to do battle on all sides." John

"Hahh.. fine. I get your point. You can come home now." Dueta said before ending the call

With that, john disabled the lightning storm engulfing the whole african continent, where all the people celebrated at seeing the clear night sky once more. Then after a deep breath, john finally goes back after a weeks stay in a part of africa. After a few hours of flying back towards his country, john noticed that the weather went from clear to worse in a matter of seconds, and noticed his phone ringing. So he went down on that country for now to answer the call.

*Ring*

"Hello john, I have got some bad news." Dueta

"What is it?" John

"Your sister has been kidnapped by armed men, while your mother is stunned and your father is injured." Dueta

"What?!" John said, holding himself

"When the police got to the scene, they only saw your parents, and a tranquilizer dart on the floor. We believe that it was a US team which has done this." Dueta

"Then I believe its time for a detour." John

"If possible, I want you to control yourself john. Please. For the sake of the world." Dueta

"I will try mr president." John said before he ended the call

John then flew at lightning speed towards america, and towards the white house, to get answers that he seek. When he got to the white house, and to the room where joel was sleeping, john then broke the window, which woke him and his wife up.

"Johnny storm! I knew you would turn bad!" Joel said being angry and alert. "Guards!"

"Dont even call them, since its useless to fight against me the normal way." John said as he enters the room

"Tch! Why are you here?!" Joel said, sitting on his bed

"My sister got kidnapped, and I wonder if you know anything about it." John said

"What?! I dont know anything about any kidnapping!" Joel said as the guards finally arrived and tries to kill john to no avail

"But I bet you know. After all, you are a part of the black order." John said as he readies to shoot his lightning with his finger

"Sir! Its not working!" The guard said as they all still shoot

"Then so let it be. For the world, I will die a martyr." Joel said before they all sensed danger from johns finger

"Wait! Hes a part of the black order! Though I dont know the exact details, I dont know about any kidnapping!" His wife said covering for him

"Just what are you doing?!" Joel said being angry

"Im saving your life you jerk!" His wife said also angry

"Now tell me everything you know." John said as he lowered the output for now
