Chapter 32

"Whew! Things sure had become really busy here!" Beth said as she enters johns office bringing some tea and sweets

They were now at johns office, where john was burried in many paperwork. It was now daytime and john was sitting on his chair, doing his work. And while beth is now also 2 months pregnant along with the girls.

"Yeah, you are right about that." John said as beth puts down the tea set at the table on the side

"Its really been 2 months ever since that day, even we were sweating on what might happen." Beth said as she prepares tea

"I even had no idea that the whole thing was broadcasted around the world." John said

"I think that it was the aliens that did it. Anyways, what I mean is the response of the crabmen." Beth said

"Oh yeah, the crabmen was indeed very afraid of what will happen to them, and they had gone emotional around me." John said as the tea was served

"They must have been very safe around you, that that crabman said he wanted to stay on earth, and the other crabmen also cried. I didnt even know aliens could cry." Beth said, sipping her tea while sitting in a chair

"Then the council were also disturbed a bit when they finally heard their story, of the abuse made under the arach rule. Specially with the arach representative." John said

"Yeah, she was very angry at first, where the crabmen hid behind you. But thanks to your stun attack, she fell unconscious." Beth said

"Yeah, the guards around the council were alerted, but thank goodness they didnt treat it as a sign of war." John said

"It would be a problem indeed if it comes to that." Beth said

"Anyways, how are the people of the world taking the event?" John said

"I heard from all my sources, including with the girls, that the people are currently at unrest. Did you know that due to your arrival, a religion based on you was formed?" Beth said

"Whoa.. they must have lots of time on their hands." John said, displeased

"I get where your going with this. Though due to that, there are also many religious people who hate your guts, including the priests." Beth said

"Im just glad I wont be interferring with their affairs, unless if its really necessary. Since politics is only second to religion when it comes to things I dont want to deal with, cause it will get really messy." John said rubbing his temple

"I agree. Also, frey thinks that the council might go after you at anytime, dead or alive. Since they really want to know the source of your powers." Beth said

"I also get that part, as a bit of a scientist myself. In any case, how are things at the research end?" John said

"Due to the council providing all the data needed, both researchers and engineers are at a complete loss at what to do first. And this applies also to the rest of the world." Beth said

"Its also a good thing they left some of their experts and engineers behind. Though I dont know if its a good thing or not, I just hope its for the better of mankind." John said

"Lets see. Among all the data which they gave to us that seems very promising are: anti gravity, plans for dyson sphere, advanced brain interface, a way on how to terraform, advanced storage and memory processing, an artificial womb, advanced cloning, energy shield, artificial growth, and thats all I could remember out of the list that the researchers provided." Beth said

"Yeah, but cloning might be out of the question for now, due to modern problems regarding human rights and everything." John said

"Boss, you have to see this!" A trainee said after opening the door in a hurry

"What is it?!" John said as he passed his cup to beth

"Its maybe the arach representative! There is a space ship trying to land on the training grounds." The trainee said

"Got it. Will be there in a sec." John said before the trainee left immediately. "I guess things might become busy."

"Go, I will be fine here sorting out through the rest of the paperwork." Beth said with a smile

"Alright then." John said before going towards the training grounds at lightning speed

Then there at the training grounds, as he arrived in time, john saw the octoguy rep coming down the ship with his octoguy guards.

"Greetings johnny storm." Said octoguy rep as john bows a bit in courtesy

"What brings you here sir aramak?" John said

"Well, I just finished visiting your world leaders, to know that the council will put up a base of operations on mars, if you dont mind." Aramak said as he pointed towards the bench at the side

"I dont mind, but the other people might. Since they all havent been used to an alien presence near them." John said as they both walk towards the bench

"True. But we need at least somewhere to stay right?" Aramak said

"Really? The council will stay on mars? Though there are plans for humans to go to mars." John said

"Yes, for the meantime. As we study and know more about your ecology, biology, and culture." Aramak said as they now sat on the bench

"Im also surprised that all of you can breath our air as well." John said

"Yes. We have more or less the same amount of particles inside the air of both our planets, which is why I can also breath here." Aramak said

"I see. Anyways, I think you dont also just want to sit and chat with me right?" John said

"I have a proposal for you john. Will you sit by our side? Along our ranks? We promise to treat your planet as we have nicely treated others." Aramak said

"What about the arachs? They all mistreated all other life forms under their jurisdiction." John said

"Ah, lets just forget about her species for now. We are already in the middle of taking care of it as we speak." Aramak said

"Also, im afraid my answer would always be no, since I like to be down to earth. Meaning that I have no big dreams or goals aside from my overall mission of bringing balance to the universe." John said

"But wont you be able to fulfill your mission if you are with us?" Aramak said

"True, but its also my selfish wish to fulfill a life here on earth." John said

"I see. Your lives are fleeting after all compared to other species." Aramak said

"After all, staying humble is better than all the glory of the world can offer." John said

"Are those words from your forefathers perhaps?" Aramak said

"No. Those are my words, and the words of those like me." John said with a smile

"Hmm.. maybe I should also learn from the wisdom of not only your forefathers, but also you." Aramak said

"If you want, though my wisdom is just few compared to what human kind already has learned over decades of success and failure. After all, the teachings of the ancients may be true and powerful, but there will always be new ones which can replace or be truth." John said

"True indeed. So how was our knowledge given to you?" Aramak said

"Good indeed. Science and engineering, culture of other alien species, and the planets and their locations. Those are all good knowledge indeed. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for advancing humanity." John said with a bow

"The japanese bow huh, I have already seen that. It means respect and gratitude right?" Aramak said

"Yes. Though humankind has many demerits as of now, but we will work hard to make even more merits that probably wont disappoint the council." John said

"True indeed. From world wars, to pollution. I couldnt even believe humanity is a sentient being." Aramak said

"But compared to that, human can create many wonderful things as well. From agriculture, to finance, and to science and tech." John said as aramak agrees

"Indeed, it has been so much of a learning experience studying about your kind." Aramak said before he stood

But right as he stood up, in an instant, there was a laser beam attack aimed at aramak that went straight through him. Though instead of his head, he was hit at the chest.

"Aramak!" John said as he catches the falling octoguy

"Ugh.. what.." aramak said as he touches his chest to feel the black blood on his hand.

"Damn it! Let him go!" The octoguy guards said before aramak signaled to stand down

"Just wait here guys, I will find the enemy--" john said before aramak pulled on his shirt

"More important.. take this.. my people.. new leader.. good luck.." aramak said in his final moments

"Damn it!" John said in anger, before he gently passed him along to one of the guards who was on the look out for anyone

Then with lightning speed, john flew towards where the sniper might be and tried to catch him, only to have the arach sniper do suicide.

"Tell me whats gonna happen now." John said as he dragged the dead arach towards them and dropped it

The guards were looking at each other, and speaking in their language, before they decided to tell john out of fear.

"The situation is very bad now. Sir aramak is dead, and shot be an arach." The guard said

"He said something about his people and a new leader, just what does that mean?" John said

"Our planet has tradition, a wise sage must pick a new leader among our people. Until then, the sage leads." The guard said

"Oh boy." John said while rubbing his temple, all before the girls came running as fast as they xould even though 2 months pregnant
