Chapter 10

"Did you just received word boss sanders?" A thug said after he enters the room

They were at an unknown location where thugs guard the place.

"Its frank sanders by the way. And yes, i received word that the magic book is at the hands of the american military." Frank said as he was sitting on his table

"Should we also steal that as well? I mean, we already have the ancient egyptian book of the dead at our possession." That thug said as he then sat across the table

"Yes, we should." Frank

"But its a military facility boss, can we really--" That thugs said

Frank cuts him off, "no matter, we always have our resources that we can rely on. And since im not like my brother, jonah sanders."

"I see. Alright then. So, when do we strike?" That thugs said

"If our inside source would give the go sign, we will." Frank said with a smile

“hello my good amercian citizens, it is I, your president paul manhattan!”

They were now at the white house where paul is now making an address to the people, and where the crowd applauded.

“anyways, I have an announcement to make, and lets be quick to the chase here. I am glad to announce to you of americas newest achievement, that in 10 days time, we shall be making a space colony right at the moon!” paul said excitedly

The crowd was then in awe of what they heard.

“and thats not all that we will be doing! Cause we wont just stop at the moon, we will also colonize mars as well! Also making a space colony right in between on top of that! Thus making new jobs, more jobs, and lots of jobs for everyone!” paul said as the crowd was in awe again

“excuse me mr president, but is this venture exclusive only for americans?” a reporter said

“wait for a while miss, im not yet on the good part.” paul said smiling

“oh, ok then.” that reporter said

“well, this venture will surely be for the benefit of america! Which means jobs even for the homeless! And whats more, other countries can even apply for the job! Visa free! You just need some documents from your country and you are all set. The details of those documents will be posted later on the official website.” paul said as the crowd was in awe again

“mr president, are you worried that other countries might exploit the situation for their own benefits?" A reporter said

"Well, yeah, i think so too. But im still going to have other countries help us in this venture, since it will not only benefit theirs, but mostly with our country. This has also been some time in the making, as we have just now developed the new anti gravity rings which will be fitted into cars and crafts, making them fly" Paul

"What?! Flying cars you say?! And what more did the government make aside from flying cars?" A reporter said as the rest agrees

"Yes, flying cars in short. And as for the other inventions, thats its still classified top secret." Paul

But then his general reminded him of something.

"Tch! In any case, i would also like this opportunity to invite jake burns into the event in 10 days time." Paul said in a complicated face. "Since during that time, we will have the grand opening of the ARCs that will carry both men and supplies to space. Remember folks! You got about until 3 days to sign up for the program and the other days to train for space travel."

After that, paul then exits the stage, which also left the reporters with some more questions in their notepads.

"And to think that you are invited bro, by the US president even." Joy said as they were relaxing on the couch

They were now at their home, where all 6 of them were gathered, including ai and paipai. It was also over the weekends, and some time after the interview has passed, where both ai and paipai was pregnant with jakes child.

"He could have just called you right? There was no need for a public announcement." Jacob

"Yeah, which means that the president might have something up his sleeve." Jake

"Whatever it may be, you would just handle it right?" Joy

"I know jake can be very strong, but dont just expect too much out of him, ok joy?" Ai said as paipai agrees

"Yes sis, i get it. But what could the US president have up his sleeve to even invite brother? Or it may be a trap." Joy

"In any case, he has to go, since he was being publicly invited." Ai

"Its quite rude right? to refuse a public invitation, specially when its from the president." Paipai said as they agree

"Yes, i know, but do you have to go bro? I mean--" joy

Jake cuts her off, "well joy, i always have you to protect the family if anything ever goes wrong here. Over there, i may be able to take care of myself. Remember what i care about the most?"

"Its not them, but its family." They all said

"Alright then, good luck out there bro." Joy

"Yes, good luck out there son." Jacob

"Dinner is ready guys!" Emma said at the kitchen

After that, they all had dinner.

"So son, how is the construction of your house coming along?" Jacob said right after dinner

"Its all good. The house is almost complete, while the medium sized mall that i have also built is coming along just fine." Jake

"Son, just know that if you ever need anything, we are always here alright?" Emma said as jacob agrees

"Sure mom, will do." Jake

With dinner done, they then finish up and go to sleep. Then after 10 days has passed, and with the help of the philippine government to schedule president rick bautista into going to the opening ceremonies, they now go towards the US via plane.

"Mr president, once again, i thank you for accompanying me on this trip." Jake

They were now riding a military jeep, along with an escort from the PSG, towards somewhere in nevada where the event will officially take place.

"Its no problem jake, since there are also filipinos which has applied for the colonization program." Rick

"I see. So will there be other world leaders present then?" Jake

"Yes, since almost all of the world will send representatives for the venture. Though did you also know that there were also people against this venture?" Rick

"Yeah, i have seen some on TV from time to time, but how many were the protesters for this?" Jake

"I guess it is as many as how many hippies are there, i dont know. But when president paul and i talked about it, he said that it was many, but not that many to really have the senate notice." Rick

"Oh, we are now arriving at the event site." Jake said as the place now became visible

As the event site was coming into view, jake then wore his cap and shades to hide himself from the crowd of protesters that was formed just right outside the gates. The event site had a fence around it, where the big ships that came into view from a distance were as big as a 6 story building, and many of it inside the fence.

"Thats quite a lot of ships considering they would only be transporting supplies and people to space." Jake

"Nope, its exactly because its that that they will carry, that they would need that many ships." Rick

"I see." Jake said as they now passed through the crowd and into the front gate

"Can i see your passes and a valid ID?" Said the soldier at the gate

Jake and rick then gave their passes and a valid ID to him, where jake also revealed his identity with a sign of silence, due to the crowd at the back.

"Ah, yes. I certainly received passes for the philippine president and jake burns." Said the soldier at the gate which gave a salute to them.

After that, they then entered the gates where a lot of rich people and world leaders are all watching the lift off from their benches, where the gates are located at the left side of the stage. After they got out of the jeep, they then headed to their seat, right beside the prime minister of japan and of canada.

"I welcome you, one and all, to the start of mans first attempt in colonization!" Paul said on the stage

The stage were at a distance away from the audience seats, and far away from the blast off area.

"For this, i shall have general bruce explain the details on how the this venture will go." Paul said before bruce takes over

"Hello ladies and gentlemen. Ahem! First off, they will all be divided into teams of 3, one for the moon, another for mars, and the last one will be in between. When they will blast off to space, the gravity rings will give them the anti gravity they need, and with the fusion drives for the boost they will need as well. And even though they will have fusion drives, since its a very tough flight from the surface towards space, the flight will be a 2 way flight towards space. Which means we will have planes to carry the shuttles towards space." Bruce said before turning the mic to paul

"And that concludes our explanation. As for the introduction, i will have you look at the screen on the side." Paul said, referring the the big screen right beside him. "You will see the crews and the supplies for the ship being brought aboard."

They then saw soldiers, who were also coordinating the embarkment of supplies towards the ships. The ships were like 6 stories high, just like a 6 story apartment, where the ships lie on their bellies rather than standing upwards.

"And enough of that, i would also like to thank the ships crew who are all hybrids, so that they can survive outer space." Paul said as the crowd applauded him

"Hmm.. i bet there is something more to why hybrids were chosen instead of humans." PM takeshi aki said to jake, who was beside him

"Yes, i bet they do. Its probably why they now know the secrets to anti gravity after all these years." PM justin truman said, who was beside rick

"I see. And i bet it would have something to do with magic." Jake said smiling

"What?!" All 3 of them said, justin, aki and rick.

"I mean, like how?" Rick said in a small voice now, as they apologize to their surroundings

"I think i know why." Justin

"Yeah, i thought so too. Its the magic book right?" Aki

"Yes, there is that. But why do you think that the US invited me over an interview at a TV station some time ago?" Jake

"Really? Is it just that simple?" Rick

"Ah! The one where you said about quantum energy right?" Justin

"Yes, that one." Jake

"I see. When you incorporate magic with science, you could achieve the impossible right?" Aki

"Big score on that one prime minister, and yes, magic has something that science doesnt, and science has been at a stand still ever since about 3 or 4 years ago." Jake

"So thats why you just agree to give away the theory on what is magic right?" Justin

"Yes, also since i basically have no other choice. It was either to ask me or to discover for themselves and destroy some things." Jake

"So it would be safer to just ask you right?" Rick

"Yes, while holding their pride out. Anyways, im also glad a new era is now starting." Jake

"So this is the start of a new era?" Aki

"Actually, no. The start of the new era for quantum began about some years ago. Im just merely contributing to the new age of that era." Jake said smiling

"You really love science do you?" Justin

"Yes, i do. As much as anime. Since what i really like about science is they way mankind progresses to a new age of progress and technology." Jake

"You sound like a dreamer when talking like that." Rick

"Haha, i would accept that as a compliment." Jake said with a smile

And with that, they go on with their chat about science as the ships were still loading up supplies and equipments.

At the facility where tom hollow was working, the facility itself was empty as everyone was busy with the event at nevada. As the guards were all knocked down, some people came to play.

"Boss, this place is like a treasure trove of new tech!" A thugs said

"Yeah, i know. You guys just concentrate on finding the magic book, while i copy all the files." Frank

"Boss, its good and all that you have come with us, but is it really wise to let the boss come?" That thugs said

"I know that, and i know the risks. But i just got to see the success of the operation to myself." Frank

"Boss, i think the magic book must be in this vault!" A thugs said, referring to the medium sized vault at the side

"Good, crack that vault open so that we can also get out of here fast. Our inside source tells us that we only have an hour to complete the mission." Frank

"Roger that boss." That thugs said

And within an hour, they were able to get what they came for, the magic book and the data from the main computer.

"I got the data, so lets go!" Frank said as he finishes copying the data from the main computer

"Yes boss!" The thugs said as one of them have the magic book in his backpack

With that done, they were now gone from that facility. Meanwhile, back at the event site where half an hour has now passed and they are ready for lift off, a mysterious man was among the crowd of protesters along with a power stone hidden in his sling bag. Then when he approached near the front gate, he then pressed the power stone in his forehead and begins chanting,before the stone awakened and devoured that man.

"Thank you for waiting ladies and gentlemen! If you should watch towards the screen, lets now begin the countdown!" Paul

But in that instant, there was trouble brewing as the people at the audience seats heard screams right outside the gates.

"Look! Its a monster!" Said one of the people at the audience seats right at the left side

And when they all saw the monster devouring people right outside, which also got bigger every time it eats a person, the people at the audience seats ran to the right side where they saw jake.

"Its jake burns!"

"We are saved!"

"Calm down people! I already have a contingiency plan for this kind of situation!" Paul said as he signals the secret service. "Behold people, for what i would call, the enhanced!"

There, the ones who were all guarding the audience seats and all wearing black, came to the front and saluted paul. They were all muscular men and women, which have all dressed in lack shirts and shorts.

"Kindly take care of the situation." Paul

"Yes sir!" Said the enhanced people

There the enhanced people ran at super speeds towards the monster, and they all battled with it with super strength and speed. The monster was a naga, a serpent like monster with half of a human, and now standing at 4 stories high.

"We should all just wait here, and see what happens." Jake said towards the crowd

"What?!" The crowd said

"Are you mad?!" Justin

"No, in this time, we should follow instructions and calm ourselves down." Jake said as he gave a thumbs up to paul

But this time, rain then started to fall, as paul was utterly disgusted by what jake did.

"Sir, it seems that the monster is overwhelming the enhanced and is heading towards the ships." Said the secret service agent

"What?!" Paul said facing jake who was now drenched in rain

"Ugh.. the rain.." jake said as he was the only one who wasnt given an umbrella

"Jake burns! It seems i need your help after all!" Paul shouted towards the audience seats as the sound system was turned off due to the rain

"Whats the matter mr president?" Jake said as he goes towards the bottom of the audience seats

"It seems that the monster is loose and the enhanced cant handle the creature, can you help us?" Paul

"But where is natasha? She should have been here right?" Jake

"Shes currently away on a mission im afraid." Paul said with bitterness

"Alright then, though your men should better protect the VIPs." Jake

"No worries about that,the only threat now would be that monster." Paul said before jake agreed.

With that said, jake then flew towards the naga, all while raining, and them fighting near the ships.

“guys! Step back now!” jake said towards the enhanced which then followed his instruction

With the skies all covered with rain clouds, he then struck the most strongest lightning yet, which overloaded the power stone of the naga and it fainted. With the naga fainted, the rain stopped, and one of the enhanced then pulled the power stone out of the naga.

“mission complete.” jake said as he descended towards rick and the others

“that was some lightning, we could even hear the thunder here.” rick

“well, in order to subdue a monster, you will need quite a lot of energy, so that the power stone can be over loaded.” jake

“i see, so that was what I was missing. Thanks for the info jake.” paul

“no problem sir, just doing my job.” jake said as he shook hands with paul

“sir, we have a problem.” one of the secret service agents said

“what now?” paul said before the agent whispered into his ear on what has happened to the facility

"What is the matter now mr president?" Jake said as paul was doing a face palm

"Hahh.. its none of your concern. Anyways, its nothing to be concerned about." Paul said with grief

"Ok then, though if you need me, just give me a call." Jake said as he couldnt care on what happens to america kind of face. "Pride is nothing compared to doing the right thing mr president. I mean nothing." He said as he turns his back on paul.

"Whats your problem huh?!" Paul said as he pushes jake, which he was angered by his statement. "You really think you know it all, just because you may have had some training with someone and is granted powers beyond measure, doesnt mean you have to be a smart ass about it!"

"But look who is being a smart ass." Justin said at the side

"Jake is right, pride is nothing compared to doing the right thing. And the right thing is telling the truth president paul." Aki

"Say, whats your beef with jake? He has done nothing to you." Rick

"He is a mutant! And that deserves some looking into! Whether they should be kept or not! Crime rates are even getting high again thanks to mutants on the streets!" Paul

"The fault not lies on him, and you know that. You just dont like mutants, and this is what we call a discrimination." Aki said with a serious face

"Yeah! I hate mutants, so what? Have they ever contributed to--" paul

"Listen here young man, jake burns has contributed to this country more than enough! And if you only knew what happened to him, his own story, you would rethink about your insolence!" Queen mary said

"As jake burns would always say, ignorance is truly bliss." Aki said before turning to jake and the others. "Lets all go back to our countries, i feel disgusted being around the current US president."

"Watch it! If you dont want a war with the US, though your right. Hahh.. while the camera is rolling on the side, i have no choice but to accept my mistakes." Paul said in shame

"Then tell us what really happened sir, so that we may be able to help." Jake

"Hahh.. fine. The magic book has been stolen from our facility." Paul said rubbing his temple

"What?! With the book on the wrong hands, all hell will break loose! Like literally!" Jake said as he stood up

"Dont worry jake, we already had translated the book from a muslim volunteer and torn the pages which summons demons, before burning it." Justin

"Its not the page about demons that concerns be, though its a part of it, its the other pages which even i dont know that concerns me. Just what kind of magic is inside that magic book." Jake

"Sir! Loading of supplies and equipment for the ships are done! We are awaiting word!" Tom said at the bottom of the audience seats

"Good timing dr tom! There has been bad news!" Paul said to tom before explaining to tom what happened

"What?!" Tom said before he got up towards the audience seats

"This is dr tom hollow, our lead scientist, and the one who invented the anti gravity tech." Paul referred to tom who just got to them

"Its really an honor to meet all of you guys, specially jake burns." Tom

"Thanks." All of the leaders and jake said

"What should we do now sir? I mean, the tech will most likely--" tom

Paul cuts him off, "yes, it will cause a lot of damage and chaos in the system."

"Then how about just publicly announcing the tech? And give it to companies which will most likely produce it." Jake

"What?!" Paul

"I think we have to think this through, though what he said is a possibility." Tom said as the world leaders also agree

"The rest would now rest on your decision.president paul." Justin said as paul was feeling pressured all of a sudden

There at a warehouse down at the port of atlantic city, new jersey, where frank sanders is suppose to meet with the cartel. It was also very early in the morning, where it was about maybe around 1am.

"Welcome one and all, and greetings!" Said greg kilay, the representative of the cartel in the US

"Thank you for having us mr greg." Frank

"And who is this kid suppose to be?" Greg said referring to the 18 year old guy in arabian attire

"Im jahid haharem, the son of ibrahim haharem, at your service." He said introducing himself

"He said that he is willing to join the nazis in order to avenge his father." Frank

"And who is the lucky guy? Who is at the end of the stick?" Greg said smiling

"Its jake burns himself. And im going to rip him apart for killing my father." Jahid said with anger on his face

"Alright then.. no comment about that." Greg said with an uncertain smile

"Anyways, do you have the item we were talking about?" Frank

"Yes, i do have it with me right now." Greg said showing the case that one of his goons were carrying, to show a power stone. "What were you going to do with the power stone again?"

"Its not me who has something to do with it, its the kid." Frank

"I see." Greg said as jahid was about to touch the stone. "Not so fast kid, i want your item first." He said withdrawing the case

"Here you go, the magic book." Frank said as one of the thugs gave it to frank from his backpack

"So, what will you do with the book then?" Frank

"The underworld is now planning to release all the power stones they have, in hopes that they can overturn their governments." Greg

"Do they have a plan?" Frank

"Yes. And lets take a walk shall we mr frank?" Greg said as frank agrees

The two of them then walked out of the warehouse, leaving jahid with the power stone, and a page from the magic book.

"With this, i will have my revenge against jake burns!" Jahid said as he raised the power stone to his forehead

Then with the power stone at hand, jahid was able to chant from the page itself and assimilated with the power stone, and turned into a monster with wings on it. But as the thugs and goons in the warehouse were at the side of the warehouse the moment jahid started chanting, there was nothing jahid can do.

"Uhh.. alright then." Jahid said before transforming back to human form and getting out of the warehouse and flew

And during that time, as jahid was about to exit the warehouse, greg and frank came back from their private discussion outside.

"Where is he going?" Greg said as he saw jahid flew

"Well, hes going to serve us good, dont you worry." Frank said smiling, as they go inside the warehouse again

Then there at the UN building at new york, the day after the event, and at the morning where the world leaders were the world leaders were present.

"Thank you all for being able to visit here today, and i do apologize for some of my failures during the event yesterday. Although the ships were able to launch successfully that time, too much time was wasted on trying to pinpoint faults, even though i conceded to my failures. In any case, what i would now like to discuss with you is the sharing of technology to the world, and by making laws for its use." Paul said before switching on to general bruce

"Now what i would like you all to see were suppose to be top secret files, but we agreed to just show you nonetheless, since it was the decision by the world leaders as they were gathered yesterday." Bruce said before hitting the button on the remote to initiate a slide show

"First off, is the anti gravity rings, which us powered by magic or the manipulation of quantum energy. As jake burns have already explained once, magic is the manipulation of quantum energy, the energy the manages everything in an atom. So using that such energy, we manipulated gravity, so that we will have artificial gravity of our own within a bubble. Which means that whoever is inside that bubble has gravity of their own aside from earths gravity, and we can now go through any direction we wanted to in 3 dimensional space. Any questions regarding this device?" Bruce

The gravity rings shown on the figure was that of a regular donut ring with a circuit on the donut hole.

"Is that the ones which were used on those ships?"

"Yes, the very ones. And thus with only 2 of these under your car, your car will now become the flying car of the future." Bruce

"Can it be used for anything else? Like for war for instance?" A world leader said that sparked some unrest

"Dr tom hollow, can you further explain?" Bruce said to tom who was just sitting next to paul, before they were given a mic to say something

"Yes, it can, And it will also change the face of warfare from now on. From flying battleships to flying soldiers, you can imagine the possibilities." Tom said from his seat

"Which is the very reason why we aimed to put this as top secret, if only the research facility hasnt been broken in." Bruce

"I would have liked to say that it was the fault of the mutants, but after careful investigation of the facility, it was done by humans, probably an insider." Paul

"Anyways, i hope you all would understand this much. Since magic uses humans, hybrids, or enhanced, to channel magic into the device, which is the very reason why the device works in the first place." Tom

"Alright, we understand." That world leader said

"Now, on to the next invention, and note that all these inventions wouldnt have been possible without the use of magic.." bruce said before he clicks the remote. "Next is we have the light saber, which sucks magic out of the user and converts it into energy, in a form of a beam saber."

The light saber shown of the figure was that of a cylindrical device with a switch on it.

"It sucks out the magic of its user? How the hell would that be possible?" A world leader said as this also sparked unrest

"With the use of sensors from solar panels, we created a device which absorbs the radiation flowing from ones body. An average person emits some kind of radiation, which is what we were aiming." Tom said as the world leaders couldn’t believe what they heard

“though the device would need a bit of mastery of manipulating magic within and around you. Anyways, on to the next one.” bruce said before he clicks the remote. “the next are health pods. With this, you can heal, regenrate limbs, and basically cure any disease possible!”

The health pod shown of the firgure was that of a couple of cylinders with lids on it, and a control panel at the center.

“practically, whats the other uses of the health pod?” a world leader said

“i see that you have noticed. It is also used for cloning, and making hybrids, enhanced, and mutants, all without the use of injecting CRISPR or genetically engineered viruses.” bruce said as it caused unrest

“i can believe making of mutants and stuff, but cloning? Wont that cause much unrest for the people around the world?” a world leader said as the others agree

“yes, but rest assured, there will be a difference between clones and real people.” tom

“really?!” the world leaders said

“yes. First off, clones don’t have a belly button. Even if they look like adults on the outside, they only have the intelligence of a baby. And its just a theory, but clones cant manifest magic or can become mutants themselves.” tom
”wow! Thats a big difference!” a world leader said as others agree

“though is there an option to swap minds? From real people to clones?” an old world leader said

“yes, there is an option, though it has never been tested before.” bruce said before it sparked unrest

“sir, you shouldnt have said that. Even though you mean good, it can also be used for other purposes.” tom said without the mic

“really?! oh man.” bruce said, regretting his words.

“anyways, we will still instil laws for these devices are we not?” tom said with the mic, before the world leaders agree

“thanks dr tom. well then, on to the next project using quantum energy.” bruce said before he clicks the remote. “since we are on this subject, might as well tell everything. We now have the atomic manipulator, which is able to manipulate atomic structures and reduce something to its basic atoms.”

“what?!” the world leaders said as this startled more unrest

“of course, this will be used for trash disposal. But if you guys have another thing in mind, then what does that make you?” tom said smiling

“but what if it will be used for another purpose?” a world leader said

“which is why at the end of this session, you will think of laws in order to prevent that right? Just like with the mutant law. Besides, all of what we discussed are still in the designing stages, we still havent actually made those.” tom said as the world leaders were relieved

"On to the next then." bruce said before he clicks the remote. "Now we have artificial barriers, or what we call the eagis, which uses magic to shield anyone from anything and maybe even the earth."

The eagis as shown in the figure was designed like an actual shield.

"Whoa.." the world leaders said

"Can that protect anyone from even nukes?" Aki

"Yes, it probably can. Depending on whats maybe hitting, the eagis can only hold as much as any shield can, but on a much larger scale." Tom said as the world leaders were murmuring to themselves

“then on to the next.” bruce said before he clicks the remote. “what most people have all been waiting for, the application of virtual reality.”

“really?! its now possible?!” aki

“yes. With the application of quantum energy, we can now make the mind dive towards the virtual, aside from making an even more realistic virtual environment. Which we can become gods ourselves in that other world.” tom said as they all have no comment.

“then on to the next.” bruce said before he clicks the remote. “on to the topic of atoms, we have the teleporter, which enables a person to teleport anyone or anything to another destination.”

The teleporter shown in the figure was that of a 2 cylindrical pods with a control panel at the center.

“wow!” all the world leaders said

“but that would mean that we cant detect crime being made anymore!” justin said which surprised everyone

“yes, of course, You are certainly right. Which is why the very use of this device cant be fully trusted at all.” bruce

“aww man.. it was quite a very good concept though.” tom said to himself

“on to the next.” bruce said before he clicks the remote. “on the topic about atoms once more, we have the replicator, which enables a person to replicate a certain object with ease.”

The replicator as shown on the figure was that of a box which is hard wired with circuits and with a control panel.

“wont that pose a threat to our economies?” a world leader said

“how right you are. Which means that this device cant be fully trusted as well.” bruce

“specially when it comes to replicating weapons. they would be able to replicate anything at will! Even nukes!” a world leader said

“nope. The replicator is like a blender actually, only when you have all the right materials can you make a certain object.” tom

“i see. Anyways, this would still make the replicator less trust worthy and must be moderated as well.” paul

“on to the next then.” bruce said before he clicks the remote. “the sleeping pill, as what I would like to call it, when it is actually a hibernation pod just for humans when going into deep space!”

The hibernation pod as shown in the figure was like a regular sleeping pod.

“whoa!” all the world leaders were astounded

“but didn’t the hibernation pod or device have problems before?” justin

“congrats on that dr tom.” bruce said as he and justin applauded for his achievement

“so this gives us the edge on hyperspace travel, is that right?” a world leader said

“yes, technically speaking. Gosh, with the introduction of magic, everything has gone into like a hundred years in the future!” tom

“im glad that your happy doctor.” bruce said before he clicks the remote. “on to the next, as we are on the topic about the human body, I introduce to you the world of bionics. Which lets any human have the artificial strength and speed its looking for.”

“how does this even differ from when one is an enhanced?” a world leader said

“good question there. You know, lets take speed for example. When running, you always would get tired after some time, so you replenish your energy. But with bionics, you wont need any more food to replenish your own energy, as what you will have is like a mini magic reactor! Which can let you run for as long as you can and as you want to! And at any speed!” tom

“i see, that is certainly worth looking into.” paul said as there were no comment from the others

“alright then, on to the next.” bruce said before he clicks the remote. “on to the topic of the human body, I will introduce you to the mind transferring device, which enables one to transfer minds from one person to another. Which means that one can just transfer minds towards clones and they will never know it! All except if one inspects their belly button.”

“that is great and all, but wont this tech be used for other purposes by the wrong people?” aki said as the others agree

“yes, it probably will. Which is why this tech must be guarded at all times.” bruce said confidently

With that said, paul applauded bruce.

“on to the next one then, though may I remind you that these last 5 designs would take you out of this world, like literally.” bruce said smiling before he clicks the remote. “the next would be the warp drive. And for the explanation for the last 5 devices would be up to dr tom.”

“thank you sir. Ahem! The warp drive, which uses magic to bend spacetime around the ship, and make the ship go at even more than the speed of light!" Tom said as the world leaders were in awe

"So in short, it can make you go at speeds faster than light? Is that it?" A world leader said

"Yes, its just like that. Though this is yet a design concept, i am still laying out the details on how to achieve it." Tom

"And how long can we expect the warp drive?" A world leader said

"As we already have the fusion drive, i would expect the warp drive to be laid out in maybe a few years, and maybe even by next year if other companies get to work on it." Tom

"Thats good then!" Paul said with an applause and an agreement from the world leaders

"Now on to the next device." bruce said before he clicks the remote. "May i introduce to you, the weather device. This device can alter the weather at will, and you dont need for it to be in space like how movies do it, it can be on the ground if you want."

The weather device as shown in the figure was that of a machine with a rod on top, and with a control panel at the bottom.

"Wont the device be used for other purposes? Like doing extreme weather on a country? It could be worst than a nuke for all we know!" A world leader said which also sparked unrest

"Yes, it probably will be used for such purposes, which is why i suggest for this device to be sealed away, and never to be built." Tom said as the world leaders agree

"Alright, on to the next one." bruce said before he clicks the remote. "We call it, the time pod, and everyone else calls it a time machine."

"Wow!" The world leaders said

"A time machine is now possible?!" A world leader said

"Yes. With the use of magic, its now possible to bend time to make one go to either past or future." Tom

"As i understood about time travel, what might be the mechanics of it?" Justin

"As far as i know, and what jake burns told me about time, if you mess with the past, it tends to mess back, and you might or might not even know it. Also, once we go to the future, we can never be sure if we can arrive back to the present time." Tom

"Really? You and jake burns talked about that?" Paul

"Yes, along with many other things a scientist may talk with a science fan." Tom

"When did you guys talk about science?" Bruce

"After your decision during the event yesterday, and after the launching of the ships, we talked before he left. And we also exchanged contact info so that we can occasionally chat." Tom

"Ok then." Paul

"Well, on to the next one then." bruce said before he clicks the remote. "We call it, the dimension portal."

The dimension portal as shown in the figure is a donut shaped portal with a control panel at the side and stairs.

"Yes, the dimension portal. Theory suggests that by Using high concentrations of quantum energy, it can bend or rip spacetime to phisically reveal or go through any dimension." Tom

"With a device like that, there has to be a catch!" Justin

"Yes, opening is the easy part, its the closing of the portal thats difficult. As we still dont quite understand opening of portals, i believe this tech must also be sealed along with the weather device." Tom

"Agreed." Justin said as the others also agree

"Then on to the last one." bruce said before he clicks the remote. "The universal portal, which this portal is the portal to other universes aside from this one."

The universal portal as shown in the figure was the same design as the dimension portal

"You said its the last one right? So whats the difference between this one and the dimension portal?" A world leader said

"The universal portal, depending on how much quantum energy is used, can open branch realities, other universes aside from this one, or travel to other galaxies in this universe." Tom

"Whoa.." the world leaders were in awe

"So, how does travelling to other galaxies work with this device?" Justin

"It just uses 3 dimensional mapping to pinpoint the location of the planets within each galaxy." Tom

"With something as powerful as both portals, there must be a catch to it." Justin

"Yes, as we dont know how much quantum energy we need to put into the device or machine, it still cant be used. Or else we might invite something else into this world." Tom

"What do you mean by something else?" Paul

"Actually, it was jake burns that warned me of such dangers. That there are always things in this universe that we must not mess with, even at the cost of our own curiousity." Tom

"And you believe him?" Paul

"It makes sense to us though." Justin said as the other world leaders agree

"Hahh.. alright then." Paul said with a smug face

"You might be thinking that he knows not of science, but lately i came to believe that he was actually tauhht by the gods themselves." Tom said as other world leaders agree

"So what if he was even taught, maybe it was just even someone else that taught him all that. And what does he know about science anyways, hes the monster killer for god sake!" Paul

"Just how can he handle his lightning if he doesnt know any science?" Justin and tom said

"Enough! Fine, i get it." Paul said before he went quiet

“everyone, please do note that all these designs or concepts have fallen into the hands of the nazis, or so we think they might be. Which is why we must enact good laws to prevent any tragedy that may befall.” tom said as the world leaders agree

"Now that we are all set, and the explanations are over, how about we move on to making laws for these machines or devices?" Bruce said as they all agree

There back at the philippines, where jake just got back from his trip to the US, they were all now watching TV.

“and all that, you talked with that doctor or scientist?” joy

They were all now at the couch, and at night, where they were watching the live broadcast from the UN building at new york.

“yeah, we talked about it for a really long time. We even exchanged contacts and such if he may need something or would like to chat sometime.” jake

“and you also did mention that you were soaking wet that time when you helped the enhanced?” ai said, as she was with his soaking wet clothes since she was tending to the clothes to be washed, along with paipai and emma

“yes. Sorry about that.” jake said

“yes, I am. I have even been taught by loki and athena themselves during my visits.” jake

There were now many voices on the room, where many voiced their opinions over the facts on what is best to do.

“everyone! Please! One by one!” bruce said on the stage which the committee also bangs the gavel

Every world leader was still on edge against each other, for wanting to voice their opinions.

“everyone! Are we intelligent beings or are we primates?! please calm down!” tom

With that said, they slowly calm themselves down.

“anyways, lets look at the first thing that we should do? Should we consider building those designs, shall we not, or shall we only consider at least some?”the head committee member said

“i think we should build at least some of them. The technology is already present in our time, so whats delaying us to make those?” paul said on his seat

As paul was back on his seat, within the lines of other world leaders, bruce and tom was left to sit besides paul.

“as I will have you know again, im john richards, the head of this committee.” he said as to remind others again. “so as for the question, to build or not to build, that is up to you. Though we should all make laws in which shall agree or prohibit such actions.”

With that said, all of them agreed without any question.

“lets all have the definition of magic first.” john said before he shift through papers. “magic is the manipulation of quantum energies within the body and its environment, which requires much practice in order to perform them, and which the shortest way to achieving magic would be to genetically engineer yourself to have more affinity with magic. Would you agree that to be the definition?”

“no objection.” paul said as the other world leaders agree

“dr tom, you had a fair amount of talk with jake burns, how does one able to determine if magic is used?” bruce

“its about time someone really asked.” tom said as he sighed. “one cant determine whether magic is used or not unless if one senses when magic is invoked.”

“then it is settled. The detection of magic can only be sensed by any human on duty, thus the law: No man shall use magic without any formal permit and registration. Would there be anyone against this law?” john

“none your honor.” the world leaders said as paul had no say

“alright then, that settles the first law.” john said with one slam of the gavel

“your honor, what if any person will use magic as they see fit?” paul

“then we shall make a law about it. Lets say if they don’t have any permit or something, then they cant even use any, just like normal law would put it.” jaxon said as paul couldn’t say anything

“alright then. Thus the law states: Any use of magic or magic tools without permit shall be sentenced to a lifetime of prison without any parol. Any objections to this?” john

“none your honor.” the world leaders said

“good.” john said with one slam of the gavel. “any more concerns president paul?”

“ok, so how will we proceed with any person? Should the police just handle everything?” paul
”yeah, under the mutant law, mutants are only a part of the military force. So the intervention should also be military!” rick

“alright then. Thus the law states: Any use of magic or magic tools without permit shall be dealt with with military force. Any objections to this?” john

“wait! What if the military cant get there in time?” paul

“hahh.. which is why mutants are also called the reserve forces for the military. So if the crime has used magic or mutant powers with it, then we call on the mutants right?” rick said as everyone agrees

“tch! What about the enhanced then?” paul

“well we will also put up for ordinary people to either become enhanced or hybrid, just as we can make our police as such.” rick said as everyone agrees

“oh, alright then. Thats kinda fair.” paul

“no objections then.” john said with one slam of the gavel.

“how about lets make it hard for them to use or build the machines?” rick

“what do you propose then president rick?” john

“Suppose that registration is a separate matter, permits must also be separate.” rick

“so your saying it like this: For any magic tools, it must have a separate permit for it approved and to be used. Is that right?” john

“yes, thats right. Two separate permits for two separate reasons.” rick

“i like where your heading with this, I guess your not just a lawyer by name after all.” paul

“would there be any objections to this new law?” john

“none your honor.” the world leaders said

“good.” john said with one slam of the gavel.

“but wait, thinking about it, if one already has a permit to use such tools or device, wouldnt they just be able to freely use it as much as they want after that?” paul
”then we will just have the military itself to supervise them as they will use such tools.” justin

“but if the military don’t have enough hands on deck?” aki

“then lets make it like this: Any use of magic or magic tools shall be dealt with military force and supervision of either military or police. Any objections?” john

“none your honor.” the world leaders said

“good.” john said with one slam of the gavel.

“and arent there any magic tools which are just too dangerous to even be used?” jaxon said, looking back at the papers at hand, which has the design concepts

“yes, true indeed. Like the time pod itself.” rick

“or the weather device.” aki

“then lets put it like this: Any use of magic or magic tools that shall edit history or the laws of the universe and nature is prohibited. Any objections?” john

“what if we just want a cure for famine?” nigerian president said

“but if one would use the device, another would also like to use it and so on! didn’t you get what was said in the introduction?” justin

“i know that your country badly needs the tech, but I have actually consulted with jake about this and what he said disturbed me a lot. If a flower seed is flown by honey bees to other flowers of its kind, so that it can pollenate and reproduce, and you can imagine a world where humans suddenly vanished to the world, wouldnt plant life conquer the world by then? Which made quite a lot of sense.” tom
