“good news everyone! The president just confirmed that he doesn’t also want anyone touching the tomb.” Rod said after he got back to them

“really? You really contacted the president himself?!” director

“yes. Though please keep this confidential, both of you.”

“yes! We will! Right ling!?” director

“yes. This is quite a good day for us director!”

Then another woman suddenly came towards ling

“hey ling, your father is calling for you saying to get out of here.”

“again? Let me have at him eliya.” Ling then grabs the phone from her hands and goes to the other corner

“hello there miss..”

“oh..let me introduce to you.. this is miss eliya alibaqua. The daughter of the other man you saw.” Director

“i came under orders from my father to help them convince the director to open the tomb for them. hahh.” She then massages her head as if shes stressed

“its okay eliya. You really don’t want to do this right?” director

“yes i don’t. I just only want to go back to my studies not doing some dusting in this old place.” Eliya

“now now eliya. All this is also part of history and its all very impo—“ director

“i said no! You really don’t understand at all!” ling shouted at the phone and hangs up before going back to them

“was that really alright ling?” director

“yes. My papa should know that I don’t plan on going back to the company or yet inherit it. He can just rot in there for all I care.” Ling

“so this is why you chose to be here right?” rod

“yes. I chose archeology since I always have an interest with history.” Ling

“so, what were you doing before all this eliya?” rod

“I was studying robotics when my father wanted me on the company along with my siblings. I tell you ling, I feel your problem.”

“you both got daddy issues huh.” Director

“yes we do.” They then did a high five

“both of us even became friends by the time eliya got here. You were like cursing your own father that time in the corner where there was no people.” Ling

“yeah, I remember. And you came and shouted the same thing with your papa. I was even shocked that time” Both of them giggled

Rod smiled at the two but then there was a person who ran towards the director and reported something in Chinese.

“what?! Are you sure about this?” director

The person nodded and the director sent him away.

“what is it director” rod

“someone saw a couple of cars going to the direction of the tomb. It must be them!” director

“oh no. what kind of foolishness are you into now papa..” ling said as eliya massages her head

“wait here, I will be right back.” Rod said walking towards the exit

“no. we will come with you on this.” Ling

“its time our fathers know that we will quit being their daughters, this time for sure.” Eliya

“are you sure? It would get dangerous from now on.”

“just how dangerous can it be when it comes to our fathers?” ling

“oh boy.” Rod then massage his head.

With that, rod carried the 2 girls in both arms flying towards the tomb.

“this is really convenient.” Ling said complimenting their trip

“uhh.. please sit still as we also wait for my team to arrive”

“okay.” Both girls agreed

After a few seconds, the team catched up with rod and he transferred the two girls to 2 of the members.

“this is rod to origami, do you read?”

“yes rod. what is it?”

“please always stay in the clouds alright. If ever you might get in trouble, please do—“

“we know rod.” Stacey

“o-okay then.”

“you also better not be flirting with other girls on our backs.” Sheryl

“nope, not at all.”

“hey rod! its really a wonderful view up here!” ling shouted to rod

“who was that rod?” sheryl

“just one of my passengers. “ rod was sweating bullets now as they heard a female voice over the comms

“who was that?” Sheryl

“just the daughters of some rich companies.”

“hahh.. rod, please don’t cheat on us okay. Were currently containing Sheryl here from ever going to you.” Maria said after hearing some noise over the comms

“o-okay. Please trust me and stay there.”

“alright rod. we will just be here in the skies as promised.”

“okay then. Over and out.”

Rod then cuts communications. After a few more minutes, they have now arrived at the forest around the tomb, hiding from the multiple men all busy with their work. At was a rainy afternoon when the men was working on the doors of the tomb.

“ughh.. im so totally wet. I should have brought an umbrella.” Ling said as they were hiding and eliya agreed

“shh.. please don’t be too loud girls.” Rod

“besides.. why cant we go there and convince our fathers?” ling

As per closer check up with the goggles that they brought, they also saw the 2 men in suits from earlier carrying an umbrella.

“its already too late for them ling. So lets wait for their next move here.” Rod

“why is it too late for them?”

“look boss, those guys got guns.”

“let me see.”

The goggles was then passed on to rod to see what kind of weapons they were carrying. Then he saw energy weapons being brought out as well from the back of the cars.

“damn it, as I suspected. Its maybe the mafia or the triads.” Rod said cursing

“what?! What are they doing with them? Let me—“ ling said as she struggled against the grips of rods team holding her in place

“under no circumstance can we let you go ling. Just like I said, its already too late for them since they made contact with them.” Rod

“h-how about me?” eliya

“even you eliya. The moment they made contact with them, its already over as they have now crossed the line.”

“how can you be sure?” ling

“the mafia or triads wont even budge without a proper price to pay. Men, please be ready to invade on my signal.”

“yes sir.”

There on the distance, the mafia was now placing explosives on the entrance of the tomb.

“is everything ready now?”

“yes. Everything is as planned. The boss will be proud of this.” The one calling the shots said

“yes. In a matter of minutes, we will be the first to open this tomb after a thousand years.”

“and show the world that its not rod who calls the shots in here, it’s the people. We are wiser than him and older than him.”

“stand back gentlemen. It seems the set up is ready.”

They then stand back to have the doors explode after the countdown. At first, there was smoke all over the entrance for a while then the men came inside the tomb all wearing gas masks and some with oxygen tanks. Then after some time walking inside, they encountered a sealed room at the end of the labyrinth like walkway.

“maybe this is it, the entrance to our fame and glory.” Said one of the 2 men which they were only wearing gas masks

“yes gentlemen. Please stand back as the men prepares the explosives.”

The men then placed explosives around the doorway where they exploded it after the countdown. They then light the place with flashlights and saw a river of mercury where in the middle was a golden bed where the emperors skeletons was resting.

“at last! History is now being written here!”

“yes my friend. We will be the first to ever open the tomb of the first emperor.”

“now gentlemen, if you would cross the river to ensure our safety.” The mafia then pointed their guns at the 2 men in suits

“sir, the military might be here in less than 30 minutes more.”

“yeah. its good to be sure than sorry.”

“w-what the hell!”

“this was not part of our deal!”

“the deal was just to deliver you guys inside the tomb. That’s what were doing.”

“damn you!—“

The mafia then ready themselves to fire.

“watch your tongue.”

“you guys got no other choice in this.”

“if you think that you can just use us, think again.”

The 2 men were being played by the mafia where the 2 of them then stood at the doorway facing the river of mercury.

“as if we will—“

Then a gunshot was fired on one of the 2 men in suits.

“how about you?”

The last of the 2 men had no other choice then but to cross the river of mercury. Meanwhile outside the tomb, in the forest around it, rod and his team readies to invade. There were still a couple more men outside which was guarding the entrance of the tomb.

“team, lets party.” Rod said after waiting about 20 minutes after they have entered the tomb.

“yes sir!”

With that, rod and his team surrounds the mafia waiting outside 40 to 10 but with energy weapons, rod and his men had to be careful. Rod and his team flew towards the men in a random array thus confusing the enemy after they were surprised, making only less time for them to prepare for the counter attack. Rod and his team then attacked the mafia using MK-16s were it wiped them out before they could ever land a hit at them. After the fight, ling and eliya then comes out from the forest and ran towards rod and his team.

“hey rod! where is our fathers now?” ling

“probably inside. Lets hurry up. You girls stay here.” Rod

“as if we will stay!” ling

“hahh.. fine. Then wait until I give the signal.” rod

With rod and his team as the vanguard, they then infiltrated the place and open fired on every mafia they were able to find along the way. While some only suffered slight bruises from the impact, some suffered major bruises from the blasts from the energy weapons. Meanwhile at the doorway, the last of the 2 men is suits really hesitated to enter the doorway.

“hey, how much would—“

“still making excuses even after you have gone this far?”

“n-no. im saying that how much would it c-cost for me to live?”

“I don’t know you man and your not one of my men. So hurry up and cross that damn river.”

*cough* the gas mask wore off its effect by the time the air filled with mercury, and other dangerous gases was released from the doorway.

“we don’t have much time now. Jump.”

The man gulped before committing himself to jump over the river of mercury, slowly, he descends before he could ever reach the other side where only his hands was able to make it. The ground was very slippery thus letting himself back up impossible and drowned from the river of mercury. With this, the mafia representative watched the whole thing.

“hmm.. as expected. Guys, get me the long pole.”

With that, they then handed down the portable long pole and used it later to cross over the river of mercury and into the other side where it was a bit slippery at first that they held on to the golden bed of the emperor. And as they shone the flashlight around the place, it was very big and with many jewels embedded on top of the ceiling. Then at the other side opposite to the door, there was a golden slanting door.

At the same time, they then heard gunshots on the labyrinth hallways.

“hurry it up!” the representative said

The men on the other side nodded and assembled the next long pole so that they can cross over to the golden door at the other side. After a few seconds, they finished the long pole and was able to cross over. With that, more men came inside the tomb to examine the emperors bed on how to bring it back while the other 4 men on the other side all try to lift the very heavy door.

After a few minutes, the 4 men on the other side of the room was able to lift the very heavy door which the lid was accidentally thrown towards the river of mercury. There, the four men tries to see the inside of the chamber but suddenly saw black figures closing in on them. The black figures all grabbed the men and forced them inside the deep chamber filled with bones of warriors, where there was also no exit in sight.

The other men at the center isle noticed the missing four men and tries to call them out but then later saw the black figures closing in fast on them and forcefully pulls them over the chamber with them without even knowing what happened next. With this, the mafia rep then noticed the sudden quietness after some shouting from other men just beyond the doorway.

“hey! What happened to you guys?!” the mafia rep took a peek at the doorway with his flashlight

He then found no one on the other side of the doorway when suddenly, he spotted a black figure when he ran his flashlight along the room. He shone the flashlight back the other way but found no one there. he then backed off to check on the men around him but suddenly, they were nowhere to be found. When he turned back towards the doorway, the black figure was then in front of him and he screamed at the top of his lungs. The next thing he knew, he was already inside the chamber tightly grabbing his flashlight. He surveyed the area only to find many bones of ancient warriors along with all the men who came inside the tomb, all pale and lifeless.

“hey you! Get a hold of yourself!” the mafia rep said as he held one of his men in his arms and shake them roughly only to find them not moving and their eyes rolled back.

As the mafia rep surveyed the area again, he again saw the black figures but this time, in multitudes and came rushing to him sucking him dry. On the way towards the end of the labyrinth, rod and his team was still under fire against the mafia when suddenly after a few seconds, they didn’t hear anymore gunfire.

“team! Hold you fire!”

“yes sir!”

“i have a bad feeling about this.. turn on your spectral gear now!”

They then turned on their spectral gear to find black entities at the distance of the hallway when they shone their flashlights. Without a second thought, they ready their energy weapons and slowly move forward. The black entity then tries to grab hold of one of the team when it was slashed by the energy sword. With this, the black entity eventually stayed at a distance away from them as they slowly walk towards the end of the labyrinth.

After a few minutes, they finally arrived at the end of the labyrinth where the black entity also entered the doorway. There, rod shone his light over the room and saw the tomb of the first emperor.

“where are our fathers rod!” ling said at the back of rod after the 2 girls pushed their way through the team.

“whoa! What the hell are you two doing here?!” rod then turns towards the girls

“we got these masks along the way from those dead guys. Anyway, where are our fathers?” the girls then pushed forward towards the doorway

Rod was then pushing the girls back when the girls saw the bodies of the 2 men in suits floating in the river of mercury when they shone their flashlights over the floor. With that, the 2 girls were about to burst in tears when the black entity tried to pull the 2 girls into the chamber. Luckily, rod was still pushing them back when he noticed that the 2 girls were being drawn towards the tomb. With all his strength, as he was almost pushed towards the brink, rod turned on his backpack for an extra boost.

“the two of you, take these girls out while the rest guard the door. 5 of you, with me.”

“yes sir!”

With that, the 2 girls were immediately taken outside and about 5 team members enter the tomb to analyze it. They then hover over the river of mercury while watching over each others 3 oclock and analysing the entire layout of the tomb while rod hovered directly towards the skeleton of the first emperor to first offer his prayers. Then with gathering just a sample of his clothes, rod was done analysing the skeleton of the emperor.

The team was about to take a peek at the chamber at the other side when rod notices this.

“no! Don’t go there!”

With that, there was then a black entity trying to pull one of the team members into the chamber where the team tries to cut off the large tentacle that was holding the team members body.

“team, im done checking. Lets get out of here!”

“yes sir!”

They then held that team member and activated their backpacks to boost towards the doorway. Rod then commanded the whole team to retreat where they all ran towards the exit. Once exited, rod and the team along with the 2 men holding the girls all flew back towards the origami which was waiting for them about 50 meters away from the pyramid.

“origami! Forwards to Beijing immediately!” rod said still in his armor without the helmet once he arrived at the bridge in a hurry

“yes rod, right away.” Yukiko then inputs the coordinates and they went off to Beijing.

“we have got to report this to the Chinese president right away.” Rod

The black entities all didn’t pursue them any further as the land was filled with life, preventing them from ever going past. On the bridge, they also saw on the monitors of the black entities by the entrance of the pyramid at the origami back away from the place.

“rod! We need you to tell us what has happened right now!” ling and eliya came towards the doors to the bridge

“rod, just who are these women?” Sheryl said by the strategy table

“ah. Those are the girls i have talked about, the daughters of those rich men who died inside the tomb.”

“what?! just why did they die?!” ling

“calm down ling. We still need to examine all of the evidence here.”

“who are you telling me to calm down! Tell me what happened! Even though they are like that, they are still our fathers!” ling shouted as eliya was just behind her

“just one question though. How old are you guys now?”

“im 24 and eliya is 20. So whats the deal?”

“i see. Your already old enough to be independent. Anyways, your fathers were there, swimming in the river of mercury.”

“how could you be sure it was them? did you even retrieve those bodies?!”

“no. We couldn’t risk any contamination but we did have a sample of the substance used at the river, though im pretty sure it was mercury.”

“i don’t care about substances! Why didn’t you retrieve their bodies?!” ling

“like i said, we couldn’t risk the possibility of contamination since their bodies are already contaminated to the point of no return.”

“i don’t care if one of you gets contaminated! We want—“

“careful with your words there foolish girls, your now on our ship. Best that you behave.” Stacey then turned towards the girls as all of them at the bridge faced the girls with serious faces

Ling then kneeled to the floor crying along with eliya also crying while patting ling at the back.

“by the way eliya, by the looks of your attire i couldn’t shake the feeling. Are you muslim?”

Eliya then nodded.

“Houston, we seriously got a problem in here.” rod then does a face palm as a number of possibilities now has run over his head, many of them bad.
