Chapter 7

After that last mission, the world was at peace for some time as the people now also understood the warnings that rod had given them. Then 10 years later, at the local market place in rods home town, the war against terrorism in Mindanao was put to rest as the terrorists were all being pushed further away after much effort from the Philippine military and the whole northern Mindanao was a bit safe once more.

“hey, did you hear? That rods company has expanded again?” one of the ladies at the local market started to chat to her friend who came along with her while buying groceries

“yeah. They just evaded from a crisis after all.”

“gosh. If only some people would understand what rod and his team were all doing for the world.”

“well, we wont have any worries about that anymore.”

“your right. ever since that press conference from 10 years back, things have changed.”

“nope. The world might have changed their opinion about rod.”

“maybe I will also buy a dvd collection of rods videos.”

“me too. So that I can tell my kids about his bravery. he was such a hunk back then.”

“even until now he is. did you already know that he now has over 12 kids?”

“no way.”

“you could even see facts about rod mason in his fan site where they never tore it down.”

“even after all these years, its still active. I wonder if its all included on the dvds.”

The ladies have now arrived at the dvd shop

“excuse me. Can I buy the dvd collection of rod mason?”

“sure.”

“lets see the quality first.”

The operator then played the latest video as for reference for the quality.

10 year back, during the press conference, rod was invited by the world leaders to give a speech at the UN.

“son, on behalf of all the world leaders here, I thank you for your bravery along with your men.” US president said after rod got on stage

“thank you mr president.” Rod said after receiving a medal of honor

“can you now give the world a speech rod.”

“gladly.” Rod said with a serious face which startled the US president

“ladies and gentlemen! Here is rod now giving us a speech from the UN HQ! the hero! The rescue man!”

Rod then got to the stand on the stage with a serious face as he examines the crowd filled with the world leaders and media from all around the world ready to also translate rods words.

“first of all, I would like to thank the world leaders for their hard work and if it wasn’t for them, we also would have a very hard time dealing with the meteor. Now of all my adventures, I have already explored many places of wonder and danger as you all have seen on my videos. You should all now have read my book, even though short it may be, you all should learn its warnings by now. And throughout my time with my rescue unit, it was also my responsibility to warn everyone of the threats that they may face when they will go to those places of wonder. In my book, I have already warned all of you. In my videos, I have warned all of you a second time. It was already clear in my book of the wisdom that I have to impart with all of you that was both taught in my dream when I was unconscious which I have no evidence of it being real.”

“hey rod! this is your celebration speech--!” the US president grabbed his shoulders suddenly

“shut up mr president and listen to what I have to say. Please do pardon my attitude right now because im seriously not in the mood.” Rod said with a very angry face.

“o-okay. what ever you say, make sure its worth it.” the president said before rod turned back on the stand again

“where was I again? oh yeah.. upon my adventures I have been contacted by entities many times, or those things that shine that we have fought to save those innocents. They asked me on why would I save humans. Why would I save them even if they have done something wrong to me? I really pondered on that question for some time from my last mission until we finally knew the reason why. The mayor of my town probably didn’t warn president dutuer about this since he was still busy with the terrorist threat so now I will say it to all of you. You really want to know why I rescue people? Because its my job. I receive money in exchange for rescuing innocent lives. Now are you all devastated? That im not the very hero you all have imagined?! Let me tell you all now this instant of the price I, no we, had to pay just to save innocent lives.”

The media people all panicked at what rod has said and was very confused. They have also tried to cut the feed but it was still broadcasting throughout the world. President dutuer was even confused by all of this and was going to put a stop to it until the US president signaled him to stop from his seat just at the side of the stage.

“are you all ready now? Well for me, im ready. Do you guys know what im holding right now?” rod then held up his license ID for the rescue unit “that’s right. this is my license for both the rescue unit and the security service. Let me tell you all now the price we had to pay for rescuing innocent lives and warning everyone. Just earlier after we finished with getting back the 6 excaliburs from space, I just received word from my last board of directors before he resigned, since I saved the world after all so I would deserve to hear the news. During the start of our rescue mission in Mindanao, we all help fortify my home town so that no terrorist may be able to enter. But during our stay in japan, things started to get worse as the terrorists were really able to enter my town. This was the time when we also began again travelling the world as well to rescue innocents but that was also when the terrorists were able to bomb the whole town with suicide bombers. Of course the whole city suffered but when I inspected the list of victims, I saw a pattern. They aimed for the families of all my men. Though it wasn’t every family in my whole company, this is where it gets worse. Those families of my company who were in other places, when they would mention about supporting me, others would sometimes throw stones at them. There was even one who was shot dead because they supported me. Of course, the ones who threw stones also included haters of me which was in pursuit of finding me all over Mindanao. Then there is my family, that when they try to support me by gathering more supporters and teaching them of the warnings in my book, others would ignore though one time, about some of my cousins were being beaten up because of this. Not only that, other companies, specially international ones, all bribe all my investors to stay away from my company or else they would also suffer the consequences leading to my company now being broke. Because of that, also because some of my board of directors and employees were being threatened by those companies, they all quit one by one and that’s where my last board of directors told me the most hated part of all.”

Rod then showed the world his angry face as he was about to say something worse. The whole crowd was taken back as he shows this face.

“my mother, when she was shopping normally at the citys local market, an unknown assailant or assailants threw many rocks at her hitting her head many times. The reports say that she was just regularly talking to a bystandard when some of the other bystandards heard some people saying that this is the mother of that arrogant brat. That her son is a hero yet he doesn’t save others lives and that I shouldn’t have been born in the first place before some rocks were then seen being thrown towards my mother. Today, my mother is in the hospital with a head concussion where she is still in bed until now. As for my sister who was still studying medicine, many reporters always bother her everyday that she was always late for class or was left to staying with my relatives sometimes. But one day, maybe when we were still travelling around the world, some group of haters eventually saw my sister passing by and goes straight at her with protests. Of course, she tried to reason out because it might have ticked her off, but eventually rocks were then thrown at her and out of their anger, they tried to beat up my sister. But then she tried to run away and when a car was about to pass, she stepped back which led to them getting hold of her. And instead of beating her up, one of them, and I quote, accidentally, hits their protest board at her head causing her to be unconscious at the side. This lead also to a head concussion just like my mother and both of them haven’t yet woken up. This now leaves my father to be alone and taking care of both of them at my companys hospital where they were all transferred and of course there were bodyguards with them but they were also powerless as one of them who was protecting my sister was being beaten up as well and is also in a hospital. And of course my haters would also include some people from abroad since they came all the way here just to either complain about me or steal what I have.” Rod said with an angry face as he was crying

“here I render my resignation and disband the hurricane rescue unit and the hurricane security unit.” Rod then gave his ID to the US president who was also crying with rods situation.

“and here I tell you all. do you have anything else to say aside from mocking me? Are your ideals better than the others? Well I dare all of you right now to test those ideals and face those entities. They have already asked me many times on why I save humans. I really tried my best to rescue innocents but it seems that my help is unwanted. Well, if you really want to become a hero, why don’t you be one? You can always go to those places that I have gone to to prove you’re a hero, to be more than me. And who ever said im doing all this for fame? Didn’t you guys look at the videos? I rescued people from those places without even taking anything of importance with the place.So if you really want to become more than what you are, feel free to go there guys. They would all be waiting for you and feed on you as their food. This is really my last warning to you by the way. And if you would need something, you can just ask your governments about it, they know everything I know and have. And if your all looking for an easier way to obtain project iron heart, feel free to drop by so that I can kick your butts out of the company. Though you can always ask the world leaders for a copy of everything I have. Like I said, everything I have, they have it too. So why target me and my company? Is it because im hogging all the power? Fine. Go to those places and earn your place as a hero like I did. If you want my technology, then its never for sale. For the sake of the world and for the people and for the future of children all around the world, I refuse to give in to your selfishness. If you wont believe me then I will just post on the internet every company who comes to my doorstep wishing to imitate my technology saying that these guys want to rule the world so please be warned. So if you guys would need anything at all, don’t even hesitate to pour every bit of your money to your local governments and in fact, they would welcome it so that it can help with the government budget which is always low by the way.”

Rod grabs the mic and then approached the US president with a USB and gave it to him.

“mrpresident, if you would ever consider project exodus, here is the data on my newest design to shorten travel time in space called project graviton. And of my last mission.”

“what?!” the world leaders were all surprised by the sudden announcement

“I now leave everything else in your hands world leaders. And goodbye.” Rod said as he dropped the mic to the US president and walked towards the doors where 2 of his team were on standby to pick him up.

“u-umm.. that was a bit weird..haha..” the US president was then thinking double time on what to say while wiping his sweat

“i have an announcement to make!” the Russian president stood up as both the Chinese and the Philippine president also stood up.

The cameras were now focused on the other presidents as they have an announcement to make

“in light of rods proposal, we agree on a joint cooperation for our space programs. Even implementing project exodus as well as a reward for all the hard work rod mason has done for our countries.” Chinese president

“if you would now hand over the details for project graviton so that we can now begin mr president.” Japanese president

“w-what wrong with you guys? Why all of a sudden?” US president

“in light of the present events with the meteor, we just couldn’t stand by as we are powerless to counter any threats that we may face in outer space.” Russian president

“i-it can be a weapon for all we know.” US president

“if it is rod, then its not. Just like he said, what he builds are all not weapons. It is how others will use it that it becomes a weapon.” Chinese president

the US president had nothing more to comment and thought hard and fast as the world leaders would now want the details for project graviton and the world is now watching.

“u-u-umm.. then america would also like to agree with accepting the joint cooperation for project exodus.” The US president said with an awkward smile

With that, the meeting came to an abrupt end as the media reporters all flock towards the other world leaders for any comments.

“now that was one messy press conference.”

“yes. it really gets me everytime. That in spite of everything that he has done for the world, the world would just treat him badly.”

“there was even a rumor that the mayor offered to build a mansion for him and his family but he refused saying that he will live up in that carrier for his entire life. Where no one can reach him and his babies.”

“such a sad story for a hero really.”

“I hear that the rescue unit was disbanded letting all of them return to their families.”

“their families must be proud of them also for saving the world.”

“um.. would you guys like to buy the dvd or not?”

“y-yes yes. we would like to buy 2 of them.”

*ring*

“hello rod. how are you mate?” Wesley was calling

“oh.. hello there Wesley. Were just fine over here, now quiet and peaceful. How are you today?”

“just fine too, I think. Look mate, here is the thing. Natty and I are getting married! Can you believe that?!”

“really?! Congratulations!” Sheryl said as the girls were also listening

“this is still on loudspeaker right? anyways. Would you be my best man for the wedding?”

“aww..” the girls said

“that’s a wonderful offer Wesley but im afraid I would have to refuse.”

“w-why is that?”

“because your wedding might be messed up because of me being there.”

“seriously? Your still worried about that? You know how the world has now gotten more peaceful after you saved the world from that meteor.”

“you got it all wrong Wesley. The world is still requesting for our assistance even when we quit ages ago.”

“like seriously Wesley. You should hear the news more often.” Yukiko

“and let us tell you something good Wesley. About 10 years ago, maybe it was 5 or 6 months after our last mission in autralia, the president sent us a letter to apologize for his behavior back then.” Sheryl

“and a request again for a rescue for those people who got stuck again. hahh..” maria

“really? That really happened?!”

“Wesley, you should keep this a secret along with your new wife if you don’t want anything to be done to you by the president.” Flores

“he wouldn’t, would he?”

“who knows. Anyways, rod will refuse your offer.” Stacey

“and did you also know that aside from the space program that every world leader is now participating, president dutuer is also busy keeping foreigners out of the Philippines whose soul purpose is either to get rod back to the business or to mock at him. And the mayor is busy too lecturing to the people to never hate rod for what he did for the world.” Flores

“did you also know that ever since the press conference, all the terrorist group leaders in the Philippines all flied to the kola borehole as they believe they can surpass rod.” maria

“ever since then, Mindanao was very peaceful. Though we still cant let our guards down.” Sheryl said with a gesture

“if Mindanao is now peaceful, why are the people still saying that your all living in the origami?”

“to keep our babies away from those dirty people. That’s what.” Kaori while tending to one of the babies

“umm.. what would you do about food and stuff? You all gotta go to the toilet after all.”

“that’s already been taken care of. Though you don’t want to know.” Flores

“o-oh.. how about—“

“rod takes care of the company as he also runs errands for food and water.” Maria

“ever since the press conference, we were all struggling to keep the company together.” Sheryl

“gladly, rods family agreed to become the new board of directors for the company and transferred here.” Stacey

“I really have no idea what to comment about your current situation right now. Though I would have liked it if rod could be my best man but that’s an impossible offer right now right?”

“yes.” the girls said as they all were tending to the babies

“a-alright then. Bye.”

Wesley then hangs up.

“seriously, this is the hundredth time people keep calling for us.” Sheryl

“its really no surprise. We are living here anyways.” Rod

“yeah. I still remember that day ten years ago when we gave birth.” Stacey

“I also remember. It was really hard for me to get the doctors to agree to make you have birth inside the origami.” Rod

“like what else can we do that time right? some nut job might come at our rooms and do something to us. Its better to be here anyways.” Yukiko

“hahh.. if only the world would just leave us alone now.” Maria

“anyways, lets all take a break as we watch some news.” Rod said as he turned on the monitor

As always, the news all stated for a lot of international disasters and some more people going after glory.

“here we have live as an Austrian couple imitates rod mason in going into the kola borehole. What are you comments.” The reporter said on the monitor

“we like you rod. and we are also doing this because we idolize you. But ignorance is bliss right? so to be fair, as a fellow human, it is also our right to go here and be heroes!”

“there we have it folks as the couple will now climb down the hole so that they can bring back lost people”

With that, the couple then climbs down the hole. Then rod turns the channel to another one.

“here we have live as a man will now try to cross the Bermuda triangle with his boat! What are your thoughts?”

“to hell with danger! Rod can do it so can i! why does he have all the glory anyways when hes just one puny human like us. Ignorance is bliss right? hahahaha!”

“there you have it folks.. this man will now attempt—“

Rod then changes the channel again..

“crap..crap..crap..” rod and the girls said with every channel they cross with some stupid people doing stupid things.

“—live in toolworkz industries we have Edwardo dante with what he calls the next generation of power. Mr Edwardo.”

“miss Haiti. Here in toolworkz industries we are now experimenting on a new kind of fuel that can totally change how we fuel our cars for tomorrow. we now have in this room are the scientist behind the revolution for this revolutionary fuel source.”

“say mr Edwardo, how does this differ from rod mason project iron heart?”

“I don’t mean to compare but we don’t also plan to lose to him and his company. Im sure that hes also using that project as a power source for his company. I also hear that he supplies power for the whole Mindanao area.”

“how can you be sure? And why did you start this project of yours?”

“im pretty sure of it. Other companies even said so themselves so we don’t ever plan to lose his company. That is only a Philippine company after all. And don’t ever play with us rod mason.. ignorance is bliss right? were all not that ignorant as just to let him have the technology. we can also do better than him and I mean like, we were here before he even made his company. We even chose fuel since electricity can also harm the environment.”

“can we also interview the scientists inside?”

“n-no. they are too busy at the moment for any interviews actually. But you can always count on toolworkz industries to bring you the best products for your home and needs.”

“rod, please change the channel” maria

“poor souls. They must have been forced to do by the company which is why they couldn’t let anyone interview the scientists.” Stacey

“alright then.” Rod then changed the channel

“—were now live to bring you a special report from one of the terrorist groups who just gave the station a tape recording of their demands. Lets now all play the tape.”

“this is the new leader of this group, abutahi lug and we demand rod mason to release all our groups previous leaders right now! they all last said that they will prove to the world that islam is more divine than Christianity before they left. This was also inspired as they watched rod masons videos of him and his adventures but as they knew he was Christian, they knew he wasn’t to be trusted at all. So in exchange for these hostages, we demand rod mason to let go of all of them right away!” then they all saw the footage of a gunshot to the foot of the hostage as proof that they are not joking

“h-how cruel. If this is true, wherever you are rod mason, please give them their demands. Its your responsibility now right to rescue those hostages?”

“you know, he just quit being the rescue man and gave back his international license to the UN” her co-anchor said

“really how stupid of them to even think that rod can save them now.” yukiko

“yes. really stupid indeed. Since we heard that those leaders of their has gone to some parts of the globe just to prove something stupid.” Maria

“anyways, lets change the channel again please rod?” Sheryl

Rod then changed the channel

“—we are now live at Nevada USA where engineers have now finished constructing the worldsfirst..umm.. what you call that again sir?” she then pointed the mic to the other guy she invited

“hi, im Fredrick slice and am one of the head engineers of this project. And in honor of rods dedication to the world back then, we named it graviton as per the project graviton itself. This machine or space ship that you see now uses the gravitational force to sling shot something towards a destination at high speeds. With multiple project iron hearts in place, it is used as a power source. Not only that, since the iron heart also has its own gravity due to the electromagnetic force it creates, the gravity from the multiple iron hearts are all used to create artificial gravity that would slingshot anything at maybe 10Gs.”

“wow!”

“yes. and since all the governments of the world are all financing this project and since only they have the permission from rod mason himself to use project iron heart, this can really revolutionize space travel as we know it! Though I don’t know if there might be anyone who can handle 10Gs when travelling in space.”

“so how fast is 10Gs mr Fredrick? And how far can it also take you?”

“just imagine the speed of jet fighter plane and multiply its speed by 5 or 7 times. That’s how fast this thing will take you. Just look at this rotating blades there.” He then pointed to the many huge rotating blades. “those many blades will all rotate at a maximum speed of 75miles per second which will slingshot anything from a distance from earth to the moon in just one minute.”

“so how many of these gravitons have you guys already made?”

“for the US, its now over 10 of them. And since Russia, china, japan, and even the Philippines is cooperating with this project, each country has now made over 10 gravitons each. Just look at these babies, aren’t they beautiful. And each one of them is as big as the empire state building!”

“wow! That’s so many!”

“with all these, we could now reach maybe until Neptune!”

“so how will you guys deliver all these gravitons into space?”

“from the concept of project paper plane. Since these things weigh maybe about 10 tons, project paper plane couldn’t handle a load up to 6-7 tons since its also carrying its body which weights up to almost 1 ton. With this, we can deliver them up to the stratosphere where boosters tied to the ships with gravitons in it would boost up to the sky safely delivering the entire ship up to space.”

“so how are you guys going to go with this? a graviton can send a ship up to Neptune in a matter of days right?”

“no. I don’t know the exact calculations that NASA has come up but we will have each graviton act as a save point in each sector, just like connecting the dots in a straight line.”

“hmm.. quite a good plan.”

“ever since rod mason introduced project iron heart, the world is changing faster than expected. It truly is a revolutionary innovation that led us to this right now. and with this, we are one step closer to achieving the speed of light!”

“is that true rod?” Sheryl

“nope. No one can withstand that kind of speed Sheryl.” Rod

“yes. under my calculations, no metal on earth can withstand speeds of even more than maybe 14Gs.” Stacey

“can the human body really withstand that much speed? They might be pancakes by the time they reach mars.” Flores

“I don’t know. But at least they do have their scientists who can calculate the exact rotating speed and the exact gravitational force needed to travel faster than before.” Rod

“that is truly revolutionary coming from you rod. but are you sure that we shouldn’t also join in with the construction?” yukiko

“yeah. You refused the presidents offer years before for a spot at making the graviton in the Philippines.” Maria

“yes, im sure. Because right now, we all needed our own peace. We have already done enough for the world.” Rod

“and sacrificed enough as well. and is your parents alright now since then Sheryl?” yukiko

“yes they are. those good for nothing jealous companies threatening my parents in withdrawing support for our company. Im just glad that our investors gradually came back to us overtime.” Sheryl

“rod seriously had a hard time with the company for a few years after all.” Maria

“im just glad all my hard work was not in vain. Dad even hesitated at first in being one of the board members but he eventually agreed after my mom and sister woke up. My sister will never be the same again after the people treatment of her.” Rod

“she has already finished her studies right? where is she now?” maria

“shes at our hospital being the director.” Rod

“I glad that their all now alright and there is peace in our lives now since we quit the rescue business.” Sheryl

“so what should we do now in the future? Will we still be staying here?” maria

“yes. that’s the plan. Even if we will be the only ones who will teach our children, at least they will all have each other as company. We cant have anyone else ruin our children as they did before with our family.” Rod

*ring*

“there is a call rod.” maria

“lets put it on loudspeaker.” Rod

Maria then put the call on loudspeaker

“hello rod. its me, the US president.”

“yesmr president, what can we do for you aside from saving the lives of stupid people?”

“umm.. I don’t think you should really label all of them as stupid rod. though your right. anyone who ventures into danger even though they have all been warned can be labeled as stupid people.”

“right? haha.”

“anyways, im calling now to invite you to the international launching of the graviton. We were planning to let the Philippines go first before japan and so forth. The middle east is even joining in on the constructions which they also have already made about 10 as well”

“will that really be alright mr president? You know that the middle east isn’t really that safe after all with all the terrorism and stuff.”

“it will all be fine.. I promise you that. We even agreed to be last to launch as a sign of respect.”

“oh? Being humble aren’t we mr president. So your saying you guys will be last?” Stacey

“yes. and are you still receiving calls in loudspeaker rod?”

“yesmr president. My wives also deserve to hear this. they all know as much as I do anyways.”

“i-I see. anyways, you can just fly over each of the launching points around the world for the launching. We will all be expecting you on the ceremonies.”

“wait. Am I giving a speech?”

“if you want, yes.”

“u-umm.. maybe no thanks. I will just observe the ceremonies from above.”

“okay then. Your choice. Though you really have done more than enough for the world already rod mason. We couldn’t be more thankful for you guys.”

“I see. we will all be there mr president. So when is the ceremonies going to start?”

“for the Philippines, it should be by tomorrow.”

“alright then. We will see you then at the ceremony mr president.”

“yes, we will.”

The US president hangs up the phone

With that, rod and 5 of the girls got into the suits to notify their families and buy some supplies for the trip. Ever since the disband of the rescue unit, all of the crew all left their tools and their armor in the origami as it was also company property. And though the rescue team was disbanded, they were being offered jobs the companys other parts like in the car factory and in the construction company while others went to other companies for work. There were even some students in the mix where they were later received by their parents and got back to school like always.

As they hover above the city to get supplies, they also wave at the people below as thanks for their support in keeping other people out who only wants to make a mess of the city. Then on the day of the ceremony, the origami now flies towards clark where the ceremonies were held. And by a majority vote from their families who were at the city, they also took them as well to the ceremonies.

After a few hours, they have arrived at the new clark space station where the grand opening and launching of the gravitons took place.The military gave a presentation first before the president then gave a speech where it proceeded with the breaking of wine bottle to each ship. Then as rod and the whole family all views the whole program inside the origami where it was just hovering above the sky, the gravitons was launched simultaneously towards the skies. With each drone that rod had sent to view the whole scenery for the family, each also sees the gravitons fly towards the stratosphere.

The whole world lay witness with the launching of the gravitons and the ignition of boosters from each ship as each project paper plane disengage from the ships and boosts away towards space where they all standby for now. after the successful launching of the gravitons in the Philippines, rod then flies back towards their home town to drop off the family before proceeding to japan to watch the ceremonies again since the family would still have jobs to do back in the city.

Rod and the girls all attended each ceremony and launch from each country to launch the gravitons until they finally made it to the US where the last few gravitons launched into space. and the same as with the other countries that they have visited, rod descends towards the stage where he shook hands with the president or presidents and had a little chat before rod goes back to the origami. And as always, the media was also there for the coverage as they saw rod once more flying at the ceremonies.

But as he shook hands with the American president, the president had another visitor behind him where he tugged on his coat to whisper in his ear.

“hey rod, can you give some time for us? It seems that some guy that talked to me earlier wants both of us to hear something.”

“suremr president. If its just to talk that is.”

The president nodded before rod flew back to the origami to notify the girls. then after the ceremonies and the launching of the gravitons, rod descended once more to walk with the president into a private room.

“mr president and rod mason, welcome. im drake stain from the defense force.” He said as rod and the president was sitting in the chair

“yesmr drake, what would you like to say that you just also had to bring rod along?”

“to tell you the truth, im still hesitating if whether to also tell rod mason with this. though from what we were able to read in his book and since he saved the world from complete destruction, we have decided to let you in on this secret.”

Drake then presents a suitcase being chained to his arm into the table and input the 3 digit code into the case to pull out an old confidential file.

“what is this exactly mr drake?” president

“im actually from a separate section in the defense force dealing with threats that cant yet be explained just like with the entities. We were suppose to be the ones to rescue the victims behind mount rushmore but those geezers at the military only saw the case to be taken care by regular forces, which made submitting the request to us very late.”

“o-okay..”

The president and rod then reviewed the data from the papers to reveal DNA tests, structural data, muscle data, and picture of what seems like a gator like creature which had legs and a hand.

“h-how did you get this? and why wasn’t I informed of something like this?” the president looked at both the data and drake

“sir, please do forgive us sir since we are a secret part of the defense force after all. We kept all of it a secret as the time has not yet come yet, not until now that the graviton has been launched.” Drake

“you are just exaggerating about all of this. there is definitely no way that they would come here by now.”

“sir, it was in 1980 that we were established and at the same time, the time that they came to our planet.”

“can you tell us how you have captured one of them?” rod

“yes. I was still a cadet back then stationed in Australia when we detected on our sonars that there was a flying object heading towards a local town. Of course we also went towards the town and traced where it was headed. When we got to center of the town, those things were already ransacking every house that they could find. There were no sounds that were heard when we also got there which lead to our theory that they were hunting humans silently when they were all sleeping in the night. But after some time of reconnaissance, we also tried to hunt those things but those things were too powerful for us to handle bare handed so we shot them with our guns. Of course the others also heard the gunshots and came to our position so we had a firefight with the things. It was a hard battle but we eventually managed to kill every one of those things. But as we were about to check on the ship that they were on, it wasn’t there anymore and flew far away. We then contacted the base at the US which the military sent choppers to collect all the dead aliens from the town. I was then assigned back to the US where the military ordered a formation of a secret part of the defense force in order to seek, destroy, and investigate any unknown things that may enter our planet. Then sometime after, we later found the ship and the alien now dead at the African rainforest where one of the tribes there killed the alien. We ordered the locals to forget everything that they saw and collected both the alien and the space ship that they were in.”

“I see. soyour telling us all this now since we now advancing our space programs very fast right?” rod

“yes. we might encounter some of those things along the way and we want in. we wouldn’t want you guys to be left out with this after all.”

“okay then. Thank you for telling this to us.” President

“umm..mr president, don’t we also have to warn the other world leaders about this?” rod

“good call rod.”

“i-I think that would not be a good idea. We must not risk any panic so it would be best to keep this secret only with a trusted circle.”

“hmm.. I think that the world leaders would all know how to keep a secret when they hear one. You don’t need to worry about them.” Rod

“hes right drake. It would be best if the other world leaders would know about this. besides.. ignorance is bliss.” President

“you know, that sentence itself has a very deep meaning to it.” Rod

“y-yes. I know. I just want to confirm if you all know what your doing.”

“don’t worry. We know what were saying, right rod?”

“yesmr president. Though as always, I will just be observing on the sidelines as history unfolds from now on. I just gave everything the world needs after all.” Rod

“r-really? Was that really everything?”

“yes. if you would really want something more, then you can always count on every professional in this planet.” Rod

“okay then. But if we might have some requests, can we count on you?”

“if it has nothing to do with saving others and its about science, then we might lend an ear.”

“great!”

“so now lets get out of here and explain the situation to the other world leaders.” Rod

Drake didn’t know what to say or do at the situation other than just scratch his head. After that, the US president had a secure private conference video call for all the world leaders who were able to answer and explained the situation. At the same time, rod goes back to the origami saying to leave everything to the world leaders on their decision.

“is that really true rod?” Stacey said being excited and all

“yes. though please keep this secret only to us.”

“what if they would recall project exodus because of this?” yukiko

“no they wont.”

“rods right. they wont just recall the project because of this. More importantly, the project would have 2 objectives from the governments point of view and it is to colonize the other planets and to secure a position to protect the solar system from any incoming threat.” Sheryl

“so what does this leave us now? Part of a secret society?” flores

“from the looks of it, probably.” Yukiko

“anyways, our positions from now on is just to observe right?” maria

“yes. though is anyone gets a hold of this information, it might cause trouble for the world leaders.”

“lets all just hope that the day wouldn’t come when they get here.” kaori

“so Sheryl, whats for lunch?” rod said to change the topic

The origami was not set to fly back towards the Philippines where they would live as they always do.

Meanwhile, the world leaders then all agreed to take a look at the facility that was holding these creatures. Then somewhere in a military base in the Mohave desert, majority of the world leaders were all taken to the base by multiple humvees. After going inside the base, they took a secret stairs underground where they then saw tubes with those creatures inside it, some would have big scars while some had some parts severed.

“ladies and gentlemen, this is area 62 where the military keeps all the data of unknowns.” Drake said as he was guiding them all inside the facility

“you know, I really skipped breakfast because of what I heard.”

“yes. it was also in rods book on what he had seen in his dreams.”

“by the way, just how many are these things down here?”

“just about 10 of them. We really had a rough time dealing with them and their laser guns back then.” Drake

“so how on earth did you kill them all?”

“after examining them, our scientists were able to find that their skin is also like with the crocodiles. Their front side would be vulnerable while their back side is tough so piercing through them with a knife would be a bad choice.” Drake

“so they can only be killed with guns right?”

“yes. though from my experience, they also might have received some kind of training since the rest of them were able to get into formation.” Drake

“the rest of them?”

“we had killed just a few of them before they all took formation.” Drake

“they are certainly big.”

“yes. they are bigger than us and more powerful. So the only way to win against these creatures is only through tactics and guns.” Drake

“this really reminds me of the time with rod mason wrestling that crocodile.”

They all smiled. “and when some men wrestled crocodiles with their weapons.”

“only that these crocs aren’t like what man is used to wrestle with.”

They all agreed with this as they all entered a hangar where it stored the alien ship

“this here people is the alien ship that we have been trying to track for a while before it crashed on africa.” Drake

“does it still fly?”

“we don’t know. We only reverse engineered it which has now lead to the current jet engine.”

“I thought that a human—“

“yes. but also with the help of this technology”

“does it shoot lasers or something?”

“we don’t know since we also feared that we might push the wrong buttons that it might self destruct or something.”

“i-I see.”

“now lets all move along”

They now came to a room where it held some sort of battery pack.

“to also tell you the truth, this isn’t exactly the first time that we have faced an entity.”

Drake said as he presents some sort of battery pack device.

“whats this suppose to be?”

“this is the container for one of those entities.”

The world leaders were then wide eyed on this fact

“We have once captured one of those entities using this battery pack that suck up energy and storing it into this container right here.”

“so this is the first ever entity that you have captured?”

“yes. the first and last one. For a long time, we have always looked for ways to contain or destroy them until one of our scientist devised the theory that they may be pure energy given a certain form so which is why they made this battery pack.”

“say, if its pure energy, how many volts do you it packs?”

“I don’t know. We never tested it out in fear that they might escape. Since in one of our missions, we determined that they can also lift objects at will.”

“I see.”

“we did also view all the data that rod has gotten through every of his adventures.”

“really? Rod also encountered them doing that too?” drake

“yes. it was in his mission to the deserts to rescue some stupid kids who got lost in the tunnels.”

“are we sure to be saying that?

“its alright. They can always keep more secrets right?”

“yes sir” drake

“I still remember that. It was seriously creepy that they were able to possess those mummies to try and ground his troops from escape.”

“so.. what else did rod mason encounter in his adventures?”

“giant snakes, giant squids and octopus, gigantic to small entities in 3 colors. That’s just all of it.”

“im glad im not in his position. That alone just doesn’t compare to what we have encountered yet. Specially when you mentioned gigantic entities. And where do you say he found them?” Drake

“over at the kola borehole in Russia and in the Bermuda triangle.”

“like seriously, what do people think about rescue work.”

“Its never an easy job specially in rods case.”

“u-umm.. is that all you have?”

“yes.” drake

“so there are no monsters like big foot or something right?”

“nope. If there was, they would all be long extinct.”

“why is that?”

“why do you think man is the top hunter in this planet? They could have already been wiped out.”

“a-anyways, that’s all we have to share.” Drake

“so area 51 was really true then.”

“nope. We just made that up to cover our tracks over the years. Reports, pictures, files, everything all fake.”

“so why haven’t I been notified of the existence of this?” US president

“like we said, the need hasn’t arrived yet. Besides, we tried to get your attention for the last few months since we decided to show ourselves to you.”

“so if he would have ordered it, would the military say to him?”

“probably not. For his safety.”

“what safety? Im the US president you know!” president

“umm.. you forgot mr president. Your just one person against the whole military.”

The US president then gulped at the idea and wiped of his sweat.

“lets move on to the discussion then.”

With that, they now got out of the base and drove off into the Humvees again.

“whats the status of the gravitons?”

“proceeding well. rods idea really worked for us for project exodus. “

“To think it would have been as simple as to just sling shot the ship towards mars and stuff.”

“but in order to go to other planets faster, we would have to send the gravitons forward into a straight line so the ship can either take a break for a while or proceed to the next point.”

“I think the idea was already in the movies. Anyways, all of this wouldn’t have been possible without project iron heart.”

“I was thinking recently of rods book you guys. It all seems to fit like he was being chosen as the messenger of the gods.” One of the world leaders suddenly interrupted

“no way. That’s just not possible.”

“yes, it might be. Throughout the ages, we have received prophets who foretold future events or other things like dante for example.”

“yes. it all makes sense now.”

“but that would mean that hes a prophet?”

“no way that’s true. Hes just a human after all.” The Philippine president was also on the Humvee along with all of them since he had some free time and cancelled some appointments for this.

“which might mean the end of days is coming. Or im I just imagining things.”

“your right. though it might just be a coincidence since only one of them came true.”

“certainly. Anyways, we must not dwell too much on this. rod is rod after all.”

“poor guy. After allhes done for the world, some people would still hate him for it or would ask even more.”

“this is why actors and many famous figures always have many bodyguards with them. Hahh..”

“though what happened to his family was totally unforeseen. I never thought the people could do such a thing.”

“we could never know what the future may hold for us. But one thing is certain, im totally not extending my term.”

“you said about it.” The world leaders on the Humvees agreed to this as they converse via wireless conference.

“This is the stardust to NASA, we have just reached mars. Preparing for landing.”

Over at NASA control center, they finally received transmission from the stardust which was headed towards mars just after 4 hours from initial launch.

“this is NASA to stardust, whats the status?”

“our ships are all now about to land on mars and now proceeding with phase 2 of project exodus.”

“alright stardust, you are cleared for project terra. May this really work.”

“by the way, how is phase 1 going?”

“information said that it has just finished with the moon. They are now starting on building a colony there.”

“I hope it works there as well as in here. Well.. we are now entering mars atmosphere. Signing out for now.”

And that was the end of transmission.

“Charlie, check if they are all checking if there might be any holes they encounter. Richard, check on the status of all the other ships and their crew. They should now be at their limit with all the Gs they could carry.”

“yeah, they could even be pancakes by now if it wasn’t adjusted to 8 or 9 Gs.” One of the staff said after approaching the chief of staff

“and what the hell was rod even thinking building the graviton.”

“maybe he just popped up an idea and made it.”

“maybe. Anyhow, he also really thought this through. Where does he come from again?”

“in the Philippines sir.”

“not that. What school?”

“they didn’t say since it was just a regular university.”

“just how the hell did he plan all this I wonder.”

“I don’t know. Im just glad all the space debree being picked up by his team has been useful for the project.”

“though it only made just one graviton in the process.”

“where do you think he is now?”

“probably still at the skies of his home town. Hes not really the peoples most favorite guys after all.”

“poor guy and his family. They could only live in the skies from now on.”

“sir, the star shooter is now almost at Jupiter.”

“perfect. I hope project power dome would be a success so that we can reference this for Saturn.”

“were seriously making pace with project exodus.”

“yes. and I even think its scary that were now going this fast. I mean, is humanity really ready for the next step?”

“I hope so. Because if were not, then earth might be in trouble as the entities also said.”

“do you think they also exist there?”

“I don’t know. That’s what scares me next to holes in space.”

“I hope they are all alright out there.”

There just right outside the rings of Jupiter, the star shooter has just arrived and is prepping the energy dome in place.

“sir, will everything be alright?”

“I hope so and hope that this works.”

“say your also a filipino right Erwin?”

“yes. and im proud to be on this mission.”

“were you with—“

“rods group? No way. Those guys are all headed to Saturn and Neptune”

“hmm.. what does the energy dome do again?”

“hahh.. didn’t we already cover it up on the discussion? Its just a separate ship which has like a giant battery to absorb energy from the raging storms on Jupiter. Jupiter is like a gaseous planet right? with raging sand storms and thunder always going around. So it will just suck up the thunder that it emits for energy for the colony ships that were gonna build here in jupiters ring.”

“oh yeah, I heard were also gonna test if there might be entities there right?”
“yes. we will just send out many drones that will collect sonar and spectral data. sonar data for the planet under those storms, if there is, and collect data. spectral to see if there might be readings for entities on the planet.”

“hmm.. mankind has really gone this far. Its really true in his book that mankind already has everything in place. All it needs is just the key to the last thing it needs and that was project iron heart.”

“key huh.. anyways, whats the status of the energy domes?”

“they are all now sending drones all over the planet. With all the winds raging there, its like a mess tracking every drones position as they said.”

“you also remember in the briefing on what rod wrote on his notes?”

“yeah.”

“like hell can a man live inside a storm” the men said

“shut up and keep working guys.”

“yes sir!”

After a few more hours, the starship arrived at Jupiter where they also imitated what the star shooter did on their end. And a few more hours after that, the starlord arrives at Uranus carrying with it, energy domes and project paper planes just in case if the planet might have any solid surface. And just like with the star shooter, they also sent many drones first towards the planet to check for the sonar layout of the planet and any spectral data it may capture.
