Chapter 2_2

Kat gave her to jason as she cries with her helmet still on, and jason then opens up his helmet as well as pattys so that he can touch his forehead on hers just like with gracie. They didn’t understand why he did that but it was also clear that her head glowed a bit.

“what did you do sir? Shes already dead.” xander

“you all will know in time. For now, lets all keep moving forward.” jason said as he gives patty back to kat

“roger!” liu and xander said

“they will pay!” kat said as she goes towards the hatch

“lets stick with the mission, liu and xander, on monitor duty. Make them all go to earth as instructed!” jason said as he chased kat towards the hatch and closed his helmet

“yes sir!”

Outside, kat was shouting bad words where no one could ever hear and turned off her comms for a while. For a couple of minutes, she was at it until she turns back towards the shuttle where she saw jason standing right at the shuttle.

“whos that?” kat said as she turns on her comms

“its me.”

“oh. Sorry, I got a little bit emotional back there.”

“is it your first time losing someone?”

“no. Though every time that happens.. lets just not talk about this.”

“alright then. Its none of my business to pry on your private life, but if it gets in the way of the mission--”

“i know, I know. Its time right?” she said as she nears jason

“yes. Lets go before they catch us.”

“right.”

With that, they got back to the shuttle where there were already many coolers around the shuttle, just waiting for them.

“what are we gonna do with her sir?” kat said as she closed the hatch

“leave her at the back for now. Lets give both gracie and patty a proper burial back on earth.” jason

“ok guys, strap up. We have a long ride ahead of us.” driver

“should we change into the other suits?” kat

“no need. We are in a hurry. We have already jumped without the suits before, so lets just go with it until we get to mars.”

“yes sir.” kat said as they strap themselves into their chairs

they then boosted towards the relay where in a few minutes, they were able to jump towards mars, right on time before the alien fighters showed up for jupiter.

“sir, shouldnt we just destroy the relays?” liu said on her chair as they almost reached mars

“no. Its just a waste of time and power, also a great deal of money, politics and hard labor went to building those gravitons. I don’t think them on earth would easily want to destroy those.” jason

They were all still strapped at their seats where their destination is now mars.

“mars is now coming into view sir.” driver

“do we have enough fuel left?” jason

“we would need a refill at the relay or maybe at the rescue ship for this.”

“alright then. Guys, as planned, they are already here and are evacuating the lavalads now. Can you make contact with ship 2 liu?”

“no, not yet. We might be too far away.”

“alright then. Keep me posted.”

They then slowly cruise the whole planet on mars until they reached where they were except that an alien warship arrived there earlier than expected.

“what they hell!” jason said almost jumping out of his seat

“sir, we have established communications.” liu

“pass me through to captain miller.”

“roger.”

After a few seconds, they were able to communicate with the rescue ship 2 which was under the alien warship.

“this is captain miller, glad you made it jason!”

“whats the situation now?”

“as you can see, there is an alien warship up above us and we are under heavy attack. Your sister and dolor is doing their best to protect us by borrowing all the sand from mars, but I don’t know how much longer they can last.”

“what about the others?” liu

“they are helping with the evac of mars. A lot of the lavalads lived far away after all.”

“did you have them just fly towards you?” kat

“no. They cant fly--”

“yes they can. They can control the fire from within them it just takes a lot of their stamina. Make them fly towards you captain.” jason

“alright then.”

“We will rendezvous with you in a couple of seconds. Make them hold on until help comes.”

“i don’t think they can, though I will say that to them.”

“team, we may need to hurry up. Take us there fast!”

“aye sir!”

They then boosted for one last time towards the rescue ship where awaits them is the fight of their lives.

hours before the invasion of mars.

“sir, we can explain--” miller

“why isnt your ship here captain miller? And where is jason?” mark said over the monitor

The world leaders were live as they view the situation in their countries.

“maybe hes still got some stuff to do?” richard

“hes always got some stuff to do, but why is he the one going through all those missions?”

“i don’t really get his reasoning for that sir, but I think that with his power, he can definitely help them.” miller

“yes, my brother can definitely help with the mission at hand. Though I would like to ask my brother on that too.” jackie

“why didn’t you stop him?”

“there was no time at all to stop him. We were all so very busy with our duties.” miller

“tell us the truth.”

“seriously, we were also very busy to just doubt his decisions.” jackie

There were a lot of mumbling on the background after that.

“in any case, have you established contact with jason yet?” richard

“no, not yet sir. We tried but--” miller

“sir, we have a problem.” crewmate

“what? Speak to me.” miller

“a graviton have just been activated.”

“which one?”

“the one near pluto.”

“well I be damned, they are smarter than they look.” mark

“there is a lot of them, im sure that there are also some who decodes stuff and do research.” jackie said as she thought that if only her brother were here

“sir, neptune.. no, all the gravitons suddenly are starting to activate on its own!”

“damn it! What are you guys doing anyways?” mark said over the pentagon guys

“sir, were on it sir, but we detected all this a little too late.” a general

“a little too late isnt going to cut it! They--” mark

“calm down president mark. Maybe jason is getting those creatures so to add to our defenses.” richard

“maybe. Though might I have been wrong in making him leader for the mutant platoon?” queen

“no my queen, you didn’t. though hsi intentions might be unclear, he means well.” miller

“yes my queen, you didn’t. my brother isnt the man that would betray or do ill will, so you made the right choice. Even though im also against making him into a leader.” jackie

“why is that?” queen

“im his sister, so im very concerned about him. Which is also part of why I joined this platoon.” jackie

“good answer for a good sister.” queen said as she applaud

“thank you.”

“in any case, we only approved the mission to be only to get those jellydols. What the heck is he really thinking to also help those other creatures?” mark

“as what I said about what he said, it is all so that we can get them all at once without even the need to always refuel.” miller

“and his decision was right, now that all gravitons have been activated, we don’t know what might go or what will go in the next few days.” jackie

"Its not about his decisions being right or wrong, its about that he didnt say anything to us about this. The mission contents were only to save the jellydols." Mark

"Cant we just excempt this for now?"jackie

"No. We would need to reprimand him for this im afraid. But never fear, his punishment will be light as there are no incidents yet--" mark

"Sir, sorry to bother but we are picking up a bogey on our 8."

"What? Are you sure?" Miller

"Yes sir."

Suddenly, jackie recalled from her file sorting of profiles from the list of cadets, of a dolor sanchez who can control rocks.

"I will get on that. Tell dolor to meet me immediately at the hangar!" Jackie said as she ran towards the exit

"Sir, were gonna end transmission for now, wish us luck." Miller

"Yes. Good luck and god speed." All of them said on the monitor

The bridge then called dolor as jackie went to the changing room to change into battle.

"Your late! Come on!" Jackie said as she is now at a shuttle.

"Yes maam!" Dolor said as she was running towards them at the hangar

It was already 30 minutes from the time of warning and they then depart from the hangar and into the outside of the rescue ship, where the alien fighters have already fired upon their shuttle.

"Quick! Lets get out there and save everyone dolor!" Jackie said at the hatch

"Oh.. im so nervous right now." Dolor

"Dont be! This is now war!"

With that, jackie went outside slowly to see for any alien fighters. When the coast was clear, she immediately went outside and borrowed earth from mars to attack the alien fighters.

"Hurry up dolor!" Jackie

"Wh-what should i do maam?"

"You can control rocks right? There is plenty of rocks down there! Now help me!"

She then tried to borrow all the rock from mars so that she could attack like jackie did. After a few hours of protecting the whole rescue ship and attacking alien fighters, they were almost at their limits until another shuttle came from behind.

"This is jason, over. How are you guys holding up?"

"Well, its about time ya! Now help us with this!" Jackie said after she took a quick look at the shuttle

"Roger that." Jason

After a few seconds, jason went towards them with liu, zingka and xander

"Is this all your team?" Dolor

"We had another casualty, and i just sent kat back to the shio to refuel." Jason said as they approached them

"Dont hit us, ok?" Zingka

"We wont. Now come here and help us." Dolor

After they reached them, they immediately began to work.

"Xander, protect the ship and any lavalad coming from mars. Zingka, there is sand on mars, move it! Liu, with us." Jason

"Yes sir!"

They then move to their ordered locations.

"Liu, remember what i just taught you?" Jason said to liu

"Yes sir. I will try." Liu

With jackie attacking with earth, zingka with sand, jason with lightning, liu then concantrated on each alien fighter and sparked the atoms around its engine controlling the fire from the spark. As liu controls fire, she was able to let the alien fighters explode one by one.

"Here comes the big alien ship above us!" Dolor

The alien smwarship was now overhead them where they lasers are now pointing at the rescue ship and them.

"Dolor, there is an asteroid belt between mars and jupiter, i need you to haul those rocks and throw it into that alien ship!" Jason

"Yes sir!" Dolor said before facing mars

"Feel all the big rocks behind mars dolor, you can do it."

"Ya, there are just too many of them!" Jackie

"Stand at my back, all of you! Im gonna blow a hole into that ship." Jason

"Yes sir!"

They all then stood back at jason as he sparked all the atoms in front of him to create friction and absorbed all that friction into his laser cannon. For a few minutes of laser fire, jason was able to charge the cannon to its maximum capacity before shooting at the big alien warship, making a big hole init though not enough to destroy the whole ship.

"Liu, its your turn. Light them up!" Jason said as he disabled his energy field in front of him

"What?! I cant!" Liu said suprised

"Yes ya, it takes all her concentration to just--" jackie

"Come here liu and listen well, you listen as well jackie." Jason said gesturing

"I hope i can do this." Liu said as she approached jason

"Your problem liu is you tend to control everything, just let it all flow. All your emotions i mean, and feel the atoms around space." Jason said at her back, holding her shoulders

"What?! But wont that just be tantrums?"

"No. I dont know what your feeling right now, but i noticed your tendency to be stiff."

"Really? Im stiff?"

"Yup. I just analyzed that during our time together. Come on, before they strike again."

"Wait, are you saying ya that i can also do that?" Jackie

"Yes. But there are still limiters to your powers." Jason

"Really? How do you know that?"

"I asked her ring during our training. Shes not yet completed her training with me and doesnt know all her techniques yet."

"Really ya? How about i do it too."

"You can try. Anyways, feel the atoms in space liu, and concentrate on the atoms around that ship."

As they were talking, alien fighters began to mobilize again and fired shots at them which xander noticed and put up a shield.

"Good thing i saw that. Hurry up guys! Cant keep this forever." Xander said as he was defending them from laser fire

"Its now or never liu, you can do this! Just be yourself!" Jason

With all her concentration and her feelings, she was able to feel the atoms around the ship and ignite a spark around the hole. While jackie wasnt able to do it and just gave up.

"Thats it! Now blow it all up except the engines."

"Why except the engines?" Liu

"I suspect the fuel needed for it would blow up even the surface of the planet."

"Why not--"

"And even us with it, dont forget that were here close to the planet."

"Oh. Ok then."

And in a chain reaction, she then set fire to all parts of the ship except the engines

"Good job."

"Yes!" Liu celebrated

"Dont celebrate yet, we still have fighters left." Xander

"Where are the allied fighters?" Liu

"I just made them retreat so that there wont be any more losses." Jason

They then fought off the rest of the fighters. At the same time, liu realized that it tired her to use that much power.

"Stand back for now liu, we will handle this." Jason

"Yes sir"

After some time, they were able to fend off all the alien fighters, for now.

"Lets all now go back to to shuttle, we still got more work to do." Jason said as he lets her go and goes back to the shuttle first

"Hey sir, can you remove your helmet for now?" Liu said while they are now inside the shuttle

"Sure."

When they both removed their helmets, she then kissed him.

"Remind me, what is your age again?" Jason asked upon the surprising events

"24, why?" Liu said smiling

"Just asking." Jason smiled back blushing

"What did we just witness?" Jackie said smiling

"Congratulations sir." Zingka said clapping

They were all clapping by the joyous event

"L-lets all just go back. Now." Jason said as he goes to his seat

"Why not? Lets all just--"

"We dont have enough time. Guys, lets not forget about the mission." Jason

"Yes sir." They said before they went to their seats

"Arent you happy ya? You got a girl!" Jackie said smiling.

"Im happy, of course. But i have got a bad feeling about the following events in this mission." Jason

They then fastened their seat belts before going back to the rescue ship before they went to jump on the relay.

"Thats all for the report sir." Jason

They were now at the bridge where the rescue ship is now heading straight to earth.

"Good work, though you could have consulted us beforehand jason." Richard

"Yes sir, i should have."

"But he got results right? Thats--"

"Thats no excuse for his behavior and for extending the mission." Mark

"Hes right!" Other presidents said

"Thats right sir, its no excuse. But if we hadnt, it would have been too late." Jason

"Too late? Look at all our losses! We have lost about 50 soldiers thanks to you!"

"I have nothing to say about that sir."

"50 soldiers including 2 of your men, and you have no excuse? Are they so important as--"

"They are. No one is safe during this war"

"And all the more reason why you should have just followed the mission!"

"What else would you have to say about the mission then?" Richard

"Nothing more sir. Aside from the fact that we have took down a reptilian warship, there is nothing more."

"Took down huh.. how many more can she take down with her powers?"

"She can control fire right?"

"Yes. But it left her tired just using that much power." Jason

"Seriously? What use are you mutants anyways?"

"You should be glad that they are on our side you know." Queen

"But would they be enough? They are not afraid of dying as they have the overwhelming numbers by their side." Yamato

"I think so."

"No. We must not just rely on them. They might have the advantage on this war but--"

"You really think so?"

"Our military forces are already outnumbered 1 to a million and yet you say this?"

"Tch."

"Even russia is hiding upon all this."

"What you say?!" Russian president

"Its the truth right?"

"Well, what about your country then?"

With that, chaos sweeps towards all leaders.

"This is getting out of hand." Miller said with a facepalm

"What are your thoughts in this? Are you with them? Or with us?"

"Oh boy." Jason gulping

"I dont mean to intrude but politics isnt really my strong suit." Miller

"Me too." Jackie

"Me too. Though if i have to say something, we shouldnt fight right now amongst ourselves when there is a universal threat looming upon us." Jason

"Brother is right, though i would prefer you not saying anything about this." Jackie said pinching

"Hes right you know." Miller

All the leaders were quiet for a second until chaos slowly engulfs them again, by sincerety turned to annoyance and then to anger.

"Sir, may i have a word in private?" A general said to mark

"Excuse us" mark said before he shut down his screen

It was then that jason had another premonition, but tired already as he is, he collapsed after receiving it.

"Maybe hes just tired, let him sleep." Jackie said to liu who was concerned

They were at his room on the ship where jackie and liu were beside jason, when he was asleep.

“the doctor says its just due to fatigue.” liu

“i wonder if that analysis would also work with mutants? Cause, you know.” jackie

“yes, we are now maybe mutants, but we are also humans.”

“brother also said something like that back before.”

“yes. Did you also know that im a half american chinese?”

“ah, I see.”

“and just like in our genes, I would like to know this man better.”

“say, what do you like about my brother anyways?”
”I like him because hes straightforward, kind, and a good teacher.”

“and? I want to know more.” jackie said giggling

“i don’t know why myself, but I cant bring myself to not like the man.”

“i see. So, what do you plan on doing now?”

“for now, I will stay by his side if possible, and with the..” liu said blushing

“and?” jackie said smiling

“you get my point. Anyways, I like your brother.”

“cheh.. you just have to kill the fun. Oh well.”

“what I feel isnt just fun and games, though I just also cant explain it very well.”

“like your destined together?”

“maybe. Still, i would need to do something about our situation right now. Relationships between boss and employee are simply, you know.”

“ah, yes. Very hard to do. Specially if brother is to be careful with any favoritism. don’t worry, my brother isnt like that.”

“thats good.” liu said with relief

“in any case, hes really taking very long to wake up.”

“yes, your right. Its been 8 hours ever since he passed out.”

“wont you give him a good kiss then?”

“tempting, but no. Haha”

“where are we now again?”

“were now cruising towards earth, since we have an unconscious personel on board.”

“ah, yes. Just how many days is mars to earth exactly?”

“maybe about a year?”

“whew.. thats too long. Im just glad we have gravitons.”

“yes, my hero is also rod mason included.”

“ah.. I see. Did you know that hes also a filipino like him?”

“yes. In love, there is no nationality.”

“yes, your right.”

As they were deep in their conversation, jason slowly wakes up.

“whoa there, your awake ya.”

“hi there, its me, liu. Hope your alright now.”

“what happened?” jason

“the doctor said it was just fatigue. Maybe from using too much of your powers? Since your the only one from us all that has been chosen.”

“chosen, but doesnt mean hes special in a way. Hes still human, and he needs rest.”

“yes, I know.”

“hmm.. I think im remembering something.. something very important.”

“take your time ya, you can remember that thing while your resting.”

“your sister even thought that it might be your premonition ability.”

“thats it!” jason said as he suddenly gets out of his bed

“whoa there, you need to rest.” both of them said as they try to lie him on his bed

“no, im serious. I have to tell them about this, or else it would be all too late.”

With that, they carried jason slowly towards the bridge.

“captain, please call on the others for this! This is an emergency!” jason said after they opened the door

Jason was now able to walk properly as both liu and jackie accompanied him, where they also invited liu on the bridge.

“so this is what its like.” liu said as she scans the place

“alright jason, but to call them, I would need to know the exact reason why your calling them.” miller

“its an emergency, top priority. I will use my authority as leader of the mutant platoon for this.”

“whoa.. your serious right?”

“yes, im serious captain.”

“alright then, let me call upon the leaders right now.”

“specially president richard, he would need to hear what I need to say.”

As the captain agrees, as he was briefed of jasons abilities and powers, he has a feeling that his premonition might be very bad. After a few hours, some of the heads and many of the leaders were now online, while some was half asleep on their office and while some were doing something else.

“i apologize for calling you on this hour, though I would need to warn all of you of an upcoming danger.” jason said with a serious face

“whast is it now jason?”

“is it bad? Would it be an alien invasion?”

“to be precise, another alien invasion.” jason

“what?!” said some leaders where it also put those half asleep awake.

“sorry im late. What is going on?” mark said as he was late

“what you mean? That there is another force coming to this planet? Or are there even more forces of the reptilians coming to earth?”

with what mark heard, he then went quiet to hear what they are saying.

“yes and no. Let me brief you with the premonition that I received. But firstly, I would need confirmation.” jason

“yes, you did pass out back then. It really gave us a fright!” richard

As they all agreed, they all waited for jason as he inhales.

“oh gods, hear me! Kindly show me once more a premonition of whats to come!” jason looks at the ceiling while saying

Then in that second, jason saw what the upcoming danger would look like with glowing eyes, and was pushed aback when the vision was finished.

“this is real bad.” jason said sweating

“tell us boy, don’t leave us hanging.” mark

“there will be another alien force coming to earth, but this time, not to wage war. From what I heard about the gods, there are currently 3 types of creatures in the universe. One is the reptilians, where they can lay a lot of eggs at the same time. Another is a bug type, where they have a queen and all, where they can lay a million eggs. And the last are creatures like us, who can give birth only once. That was all that the gods told me.”

“wait, so this other force are those bug type aliens?”

“yes.”

There was then chaos and murmurs on the background of the monitors where only the US was perfectly calm.

“actually, I have a confession to make. We have already made contact with them.” mark

“what?!” jason and the others on the bridge were very surprised

“then I struck a deal with them during your absence.”

“where are they now?”

“they are with us at the pentagon.” mark

“whats?!” jason and all the others said in surprise

There was then chaos again until they showed the bug like creature on their screen. It was a bug like sentient creature with a cockroach like features, only that it only has 2 arms and 2 legs, also has a mouth, no nose, and eyes like a fly.

“unfortunately, they can only speak our language through morse code.” mark

“i see. You have finally met them. So, what kind of deal did you strike with them?” jason said as being sarcastic

“well, they agreed to provide us backup until they drive out all reptilians out of the whole solar system.” mark

“whats the catch?”

“nothing. They just wanted peace, thats all.” mark

“now its my turn to tell you guys what are their characteristics.” jason

It surprised all of them, specially the US president

“tell us more.”

“they are but one word, telepaths. As reptilians are all bodily enhanced warriors whose instincts are firstly to kill and devour, they are very intelligent creatures which only communicates via sound and via telepathy.”

There was chaos again

“dont ever joke with us kid--” mark

“im not joking, since thats what the gods told me.”

“you said--” mark

“so, what did they show you?”

“tch! Damn you! Damn you all! I was going to tell you all soon and to also sign a peace treaty with them, but you leave me no choice!” mark then signaled the generals in the background. “sign the peace treaty with me or else I will nuke you all!”

There was silence as mark threatened the whole world on a nuclear war

“so, what did they give you president mark?” jason

“hah! Knowledge! And something you cants provide us! Technology!”

“well, isnt our technology already advanced enough?”

“they have cloning, a solution to global warming, a way out of our mortal bodies, and many more! You wont--”

“hey! Rod mason already gave those options to us! He patented and made his designs to be available to us all! And without any payment!” richard said being angry

Mark then got quiet.

“there it is again, just because he was a filipino, that majority of people wont ever use his designs and instead use their own designs and theories which is all based on what they believe and imagine kind of situation. Just when will--” jason

“shut up jason!”

“i wont. You cant make me--”

“shut up jason! Now your making them angry at you!” mark

“then make them angry, cause what they will do to humanity in the end is just one word.. enslavement aside from a source of food, just like with other creatures.”

“what?!”

“what is your basis on this kid?”

“my premonition.”

“shut up jason! Sign the freaking treaty with me or else I will blast you all to kingdom come!” mark

“i remained quiet for all this but I cants anymore. It seems that the US president is now under some kind of hypnosis.” miller
”hypnosis?! what do you mean anyways?!” mark said as he is about to push the button

“alright then, let me give you guys an option. You fight them with me and my mutant platoon, or sign the damn peace treaty. If you decide to fight them with me, I will try to go to earth as fast as I can and stop all the nukes for you. But if you sign that treaty, consider that as my resignation. That is your choice now leaders, choose well.”

“i will also resign if my brother resigns!” jackie

“me too!” liu

“what is it now guys? You have a decision for this?” miller

“i will give you time for this decision, cause time is what I have right now.” jason said smirking

After a minute of deliberation with each governments, the presidents got back to their monitors

“we have a decision, based on our government. We choose--”
