Chapter 3

“ughh.. what happened?” jackie siad as she woke up for the first time in a while

They were now on re-entry towards earth where jackie was able to wake up from all the heat and vibration

“glad your awake miss jackie! Rest assured, we have just rescued you from the aliens! Get it?!” fox said on his seat

“cut the tension fox, I know your excited to tell our adventure to our comrades, but let her recollect for a bit.” red

“ughh.. I remember that I was about to give a piece of my mind with president mark. I was invited to the white house where I slept for the night and after that, nothing.” jackie said as she was examining her surroundings

“i know this is sudden, but you have just met the queen am I right?” erwin

“yes.. yes! I did! I woke up and found myself in the presence of a giant alien and the alien tried to get into my head!” jackie

“i know you’re a bit frustrated from everything that has just happened, but please calm down and rest assured.” red

“hey sis, its good that your back! If I heard it right, she just gave you a world of a headache am I right?” jason shouted from his seat as the noise from re-entry was very loud

“ya! Yes! Thank you! You all have come to rescue me.” jackie said as she cried in total relief

“i know this is sudden, but I have to tell you sis! Your mind was almost hacked!” jason

“yes, on the way here, sir jason was very busy in undoing what the queen had done to you.” fox

“how? I thought that mutants are immune to the bug alien mind control.” jackie

“the queen is an exception. We almost died trying to save you.” charlie

“yes, I really thank you for that, all of you. But what really happened to me?” jackie

“sir jason said he has already removed most of the mind control being inputted into your mind.” fox

“really? I hope this wont affect my life as it is.” jackie

“sir jason said that going into the white house just to complain to the president wasn’t a bad choice. What you just did wrong was accepting the offer of a lunatic, even though america is a dream place to stay, specially the white house.” fox

“yeah, hes right. Though I should be glad that im safe and being saved.” jackie

“you were almost being made clones there inside the alien ship miss.” charlie

“guys, we are now in the troposphere and will now dock with the origami.” captain

“we have just finished re-entry guys!” jason

“receiving transmission from the company, should I push it through sir?” char

“yes please.” jason

“thank god you have just arrived! And close from the sun nonetheless. How was it there? Was it very hot?” alexa

“yup, it was. Though space just made it the right temperature for all of us to go near it. Just finished frying some alien butts.” jason

“thats good, and how is jackie?” alexa

“just fine for now. I have just finished deactivating the queens commands inside her, and I don’t know if she might still hide some.” jason

“oh my. I hope she will be alright.” alexa

“she will be. Whats left is just--” jason

“sorry jason, im losing you.” alexa

“sir, controls are going haywire!” captain

“so are mine!” char

That was also when they noticed that jackie was slowly emitting electricity all over her body.

“damn it! We are falling at high speeds! Everyone hold on tight!” captain

“i will go out and save us all!” jason said as he unfastened his seatbelt

With quantum speed, jason was able to speed himself up entirely and was able to go out at the speed of light, where he lifted the origami and flew all the way down towards the companys underground hangar.

“whew! I thought we were done for that time.” erwin said with relief as he goes down from the stairs from the ship

“yeah, us too.” everyone was on agreement

“if it werent for sir jason that is.” fox

“anyways, looks like alexa was worried for us as well. Look, she just came running.” jackie said as she pointed towards alexa at a distance

Jason was just down at the stairs where he was waiting for everyone.

“whew that was really a close call there.” jason shouted

“let me catch my breath first.” alexa said as she was puffing for breath

“anyways, mission accomplished!” fox said as they all have just gotten down from the stairs

With that, they celebrated their safe return at the hangar where a fiesta was held for all the companys employees as well.

“im just glad that jackie was safe.” alexa said as jason finished his story telling

Both of them were at a distance from the whole crowd, talking about what happened during the missions, where the rest of them celebrated merrily with food and karaoke.

“did you know that america will soon have their re-election?” alexa

“well, kinda figured that out. But for what reason might there be another election?” jason

“on camera, they said that the president was no longer the president that they knew, and the UN demanded for a re-election for another president of the US.”

“i really wonder why they are also posting a re-election. What might be the hidden politics behind it.”

“maybe there was someone who deliberately punished the current president by turning him into a woman, and in her 20’s even.”

“haha, I wonder who it is.”

Both of them laughed

“i wonder what will happen to jackie, since her mind was being hacked.”

“i suppose that she will just stay here, as usual. Though the fact that she cant use devices anymore will prove to be a pain.”

“not anymore, but for now.”

“yes, lets do positive thinking. For now.” jason said as he slightly raised his glass of wine for a small toast with alexa

“anyways, what will you do now?”

“that, I really don’t know. I have kept the world safe from evil aliens, I have saved our sun for now, I have gone and brought back all the gravitons for the firepower mankind needs.”

“so you don’t know what else you can do right?”

“yes.”

“maybe just rest for now. You have already done enough.”

“Maybe your right. And maybe I will also help in making those projects.”

“say, is rod mason, our great grand father, also there within you?”
”yes. As well as the souls of the 6 elemental maidens.”

“i see. Just asking, what is the purpose of the maidens? And why only their souls exist inside you?”

“you see, due to one event after another, they are all dead. Which is why they are now just souls living inside of me until I die and be a soul myself, that all of us can now be free to roam the earth.”

“thats sad. Though what was their purpose for you?”

“i was being tasked by aphrodite to gather 6 elemental maidens so that I can better control my own powers.”

“really? From the looks of it, your pretty much in control with your powers.”
”yes, all because of their souls living within me, helping me regulate all that power.”

“why do you need to regulate it?”

“if I wont, we couldn’t be talking right now and I would be dead right now. The world needs me right now.”

“yes, I see. But why were you chosen?”

“that, I don’t know. But what matters right now is that im here and im here to help.”

With that, they had a toast again while the others were still at it, celebrating for the success of the missions.

After a while, the american elections came in and there were about 3 candidates, in which only one of them one by a landslide due to the fact that he worked very hard in politics and meeting as many people as possible. Then on the day of celebrating the new president, jason was personally invited for the celebrations.

“hey president richard, I didn’t think that I would also get invited to this kind of celebration.” jason

They were both enjoying the view of the parade through a monitor as they were also sitting on a couch.

“yes, you normally wouldnt. Though as the first mutant and acting as the representative for all mutants around the world, you were naturally invited.” richard

“i see. So whats the name of the new US president?” jason

“his name is baron trevor, a former US marines which has gone to become a billionaire. don’t just forget about me guys.” alexa said as she appeared from the door at the side

“yes, come sit beside me alexa. Your most welcome here.” jason said puffing the space beside him

“anyways, he was a billionaire businessman. Now he has become the new US president.” richard said as alexa sat beside jason

“well, hes young if I would say so myself.” alexa

“yes, he is still young. He is still aged 35 right now.” richard

“thats good, but what will be the future of the US, now that it has elected its new president.” jason

“dont just speak gloomy man, were here for a celebration.” richard

“yes, I know. But ever since the last mission, I don’t get anymore premonitions or visions.” jason

“really?” alexa

“this would mean that your not the chosen one anymore?” richard

“nope. I talked with an entity and they said that the future is now uncertain.” jason

“i hope this wouldnt turn out to be big.” alexa

“i hope so too.” richard

“Anyways, what time is the party again?” jason

“its about 6pm. Why?” richard

“just enough time to ask for permission to land on the white house.” jason said with a smile

“why do you need to ask?” richard

“where else would we park the origami?” jason said as they were inside the origami

As the origami was in mid-air and at some distance from the parade, staying in one place, it also gathered much attention as the parade due to its size. They were also in washington where the parade is happening. After some time in mid air, they finally moved when it was now almost 6, towards the white house where the party is being held. And there inside the party hall, where the party has also began, jason and alexa were also talking to some members of the party as jason garnered some attention.

“how come someone like you is here mr wild?”

“i just responded to an invitation, thats all.” jason said smiling

“i see. Is it true that you have killed someone?”

“reluctantly, yes. Since--” jason

“why? He does deserve a--”

“like I was about to say, since he was more of a lunatic than mark, and was about to rule the world with his powers. Even though he is still subjected to the one thing that one thing im also vulnerable.” jason

“what is that?”

“death my friends, as all humans are also subjected to as well. But for me, I will only die of death by old age.” jason

“even still, as another human, he deserves his rights to be heard in court don’t you think?”

“yes, I even thought about that--” jason

“then why?”

“do you guys really think that I can capture him when he is in that state? And besides, as the video also shows, he has mutated even more.” jason
”what do you think happened to him?”

“i think that he was inserted with reptilian DNA which made him able to regenerate, though not with a fast pace like reptilians do.” jason

“im curious mr wild, what really is your biggest weakness?”

“as like what he said over and over again, his biggest weakness is his family. As they are his strength, they are also his weakness.” alexa

“and who might you be?”

“oh, im his fiance.” alexa said smiling

“whoa there. Even though--” jason

“even though we are related, were are distant cousins now. So there is no problem right?” alexa said pressing her breast

“uhh. Ok then.” jason said being embarrassed

“congratulations you two.” all of them celebrated

“and glad your here now mr wild! Now our party is more safer than ever!”

“safe against what?” alexa

“against any other mutants or assassins that may come and get the new president of course.”

“no worries, majority of mutants doesnt care about things like this, since they all want a peaceful life alongside normal humans.” jason

“you said normal humans, do you mean--”

“yes, mutants are also just humans which have evolved to the next level.” alexa

“but isnt that scary in a way?”

“yes it might be scary, since there is only a 5% chance that you would survive yet alone being chosen by the entities on what kind of power you should posses.” jason

“dont you think its a bit overrated that they get to decide what power a person will have?”

“nope. Since they just base it on your life and personality.” jason

“really? Thats all?”

“yes, they said its really easy choosing what kind of power they can bestow upon any person.” jason

“but the tricky part is the compatibility of the person with that kind of power.” alexa said looking at jason

“i see. So do they accept offerings so that we can also have--”

“nope. As long as you are human, any human is subject to the same laws set by the universe.” jason

And the party continues on, then after some time of chatting about powers and science and stuff, the new president made a toast and a speech.

“im glad you responded to my invitation jason wild!” baron said as he cuts the crowd surrounding jason and alexa

“glad you also made it to me mr president, since they are really barraging us with so many questions.” jason

“whats wrong with that? We are curious.”

“have you guys ever tried google?” alexa said as the crowd was a bit angry

“haha! I thought that you would also say that! How about you and me alone?” baron

“i would also have to bring alexa along with me, is that fine with you?” jason

“yes, of course. If you will excuse us ladies and gentlemen.” baron

With that, they were excused from the crowd that was enveloping them, and they went into the oval office.

“are you sure that the main character of the party should be absent?” alexa said as she sat on the sofa, examining the place while jason was standing, also examining the place

“yes, since I already gave a speech and all that. Anyways, can you give me a personal copy of the designs that rod mason left?” baron said as he sat on the chair

“why?” jason said, surprised

“because I want to help advance humanity as much as you do. You guys know my advocacy right?” baron

“yes, science, technology, and health.” alexa

“alright then. Im just glad that there is a president that wishes for the best of the world.” jason said as he lets baron see the designs from his phone

“all of these and no one even dares to make it?” baron

“yes. Though at least project graviton was a success.” alexa

“and project iron heart. Every weapons dealer is now seriously using laser weapons now a days.” baron

“and we are planning to make all of his designs a reality.” jason

“though don’t get me wrong, its not as if I support the philippines or anything.” baron

“yes, you just see the potential of the designs in changing the course of history.” jason
”and also, it can improve my reputation where I can be remembered, as the first president to ever unite all nations in order to build world changing machines.” baron

“i now see where your going. You are quite the schemer mr president.” alexa

“its not a scheme miss, its a vision.” baron said smiling

“thats good.” alexa

“Though what do you think jason? Its quite the vision right?” baron

“hmm. A good vision indeed. And not bad for a young starting president.” jason said as he finally sat on the sofa

“and on the topic of unity, what do you think of our defenses for now?” baron

“dont worry mr president, we can win this. With our current defenses, we can defend ourselves. Though I would suggest adding more of the military ships for additional defense.” jason

“dont worry about that too. Since your also here.” baron

“sir, I may be the most powerful mutant on the planet for now, but im no god. I also get tired. And its the title that others just gave to me, there are also more powerful mutants out there.” jason

“and they are also winning by numbers.” alexa

“your right. Though it would be a monumental task to make more of those military ships, I guess it cant be helped.” baron

“anyways, I need to go to the toilet.” alexa

“oh, yeah. We should stop here for now.” baron

“yes, thank you mr president for having an audience with us.” jason said as they all stood

“it was my pleasure.” baron said as they shook hands with jason and alexa

After a few minutes of toilet break, they then got back to the party which was still going on.

“look, there is the president! Along with jason wild!” the crowd whispered as both of them goes down the stairs

But when they both go down the stairs, a sinister smile was worn on a person.

“i cant wait anymore!” said the person

The person then steps in invisible steps in mid air up towards both of them. Luckily, jason detected his presence in the nick of time and blew him away with a gust of wind, which the person also catched himself in midair, creating another invisible floor behind him.

“mark? Is that you?” jason

“yes, it me! Mark! You thief! And you traitor!” mark said as he stood up

“that is the former president mark? I mean, its a she!” baron said behind jason

“that is his punishment, if you were also watching the live video at the UN.” jason

“get me back my old body you traitor to mankind!” mark

“how did you get inside?! I told them to never let you inside!” baron

“thats not important right now! Right now, I want my old body back!” mark

“you know, I only called that as a punishment, but all of that is for you to realize some things in life that you take for granted.” jason

“what?! I take women for granted? Is that what your saying?!” mark

“nope. And its already a priviledge you know, for you to become a woman. To know everything there is about a woman that you need to know as well.” jason

“whatever! I need my old body back right now! Or else everyone here under me will die!” mark

“try me, and you wont get your old body back.” jason said seriously

“what?!” they all said

“hey jason, think about the lives that will be spared--” baron

“i know. Besides former president, did you cut your hair?” jason

“yes, and whats the connection with that?!” mark

“did you know that women have lesser molecules than men? Though its a theory, it has a point.” jason

“spit it out! What is it!” mark

“i put your extra molecules into your hair, which was why it was very long when I converted you. Now look at your own hair, its now very short.” jason

“what?! this is the first time I have ever heard of that!” mark

“well, you probably wont listen to me explaining to you anyways back then, and wont listen to scientists when they also will explain to you, so whats the use?” jason

With that remark, it made mark very mad and rushed into jason again.

“i will definitely kill you!” mark said as jason blocks his attack

Marks attack was also more like a karate chop from both hands, where jason now released his sword from its necklace form, where it also created sparks when jason blocked his attack.

“look, your not listening again. You wont ask me if something can be done with it?” jason

“no, since I know that it cant be done anyways.” mark said as he jumped back

“sorry for this mr president.” jason

“what are you going to do now?” baron

“lets settle this outside shall we former president?” jason

Jason then he blew a gust of wind again towards mark, this time stronger, where mark was pinned towards the glass until it broke.

“im settling this outside. Feel free to watch.” jason said as he flew towards the broken window

“please don’t break anything else while your at it!” baron

“will try!” jason said outside

“hahh.. there goes the suit, ruined.” alexa said behind baron

With that, both alexa and baron heads towards the balcony of the white house where both jason and mark were facing off in the front yard.

“you don’t need to blow me off like that!” mark said as he was on the ground

“we don’t know what you will do, so I had to take measures.” jason said as he was floating

“what?! just for that?!” mark said being annoyed

“yes, just for that. Anyways, lets just end this peacefully mark.” jason

“add some honorifics to my name you idiot!” mark said as he attacks jason again

Jason then blocks the attack and sending mark flying back, where he took foothold on midair. Jason was also at some distance between the balcony where all the people present could hear their conversation.
”arent you afraid that you might be seen on TV? What would your supporters even say once they will find out about this?” jason

“nothing! They will think that im trying my best for the sake of the world! Nevermind about that! You really changed me entirely!--” mark

“not the voice I did.” jason

“and you will pay for everything! Now that I have mutant powers,I can eradicate the threat in this world that is you!” mark

He then made an invisible wall to crush jason but he couldn’t, even with the use of all his concentration.

“hahh.. you really don’t get it, do you?” jason said as he sheathed his sword

“what is there to discuss when you are the one to be eradicated by me! The true savior!” mark said as he made more walls

“hahh.. oh well. I thought that with making you a mutant, you could understand the feelings of us as well, but I was wrong.” jason said as he pointed his finger towards mark

With that finger, he was able to disable the mutant gene and reconstruct marks DNA once more, back to the way it was where he had a very small chance of being a mutant. And from there, mark fell down into the water at the big fountain.

“what happened to me!?” mark said as he looked at his hands

In that moment, he saw that his hands turned brown, like every other black american.

“what did you do to me again?!” mark said as he got out of the pond

“officers, arrest that woman!” baron shouted on top of the balcony

With that, mark was then arrested for attempted assassination of the president. The party was also put to a close, which the event also ended up in the media where it was aired. After the event, the new president vowed as well that he would strengthen friendly relations with the mutants, along with his vow to unify the whole world in the effort to build a better world before the war will happen.

“hey jason, where are we going?” alexa said as they were on the origami

“you will see it soon.” jason said as he views the monitors from the origami

The origami was headed upwards where jason and the team is now headed towards their new destination, high up above the clouds.

“there it is, our new destination.” jason said after the clouds cleared up for them to see

It was then, high above the troposphere, where they were now able to see project Yggdrasil. The largest structure known to man which connects them to space, for easier travel than before, and they are still at the entrance.

“wow, the new US president sure knows his stuff.” erwin

“yup, since if we can make gravitons a reality, why not the other projects that rod mason proposed right?” fox

“enough with the awestruck guys, were here for work.” jason

“aww, your such a killjoy jason.” alexa

“how many years has it been since president baron proclaimed that he would unite the world?” red

“its now almost a year since the live video from the white house.” charlie

“yeah, sir jason really almost scared the heck out of us.” max

“haha. Anyways, im a very friendly guy. I wouldnt--” jason

“we know.” all of them agreed and laughed

They were now docking at the entrance of the project where construction is still going on.

“hey miss alexa, I got to ask, how many months is that baby now?” red

“ever since our marriage maybe? I don’t know. It was rather sudden when I got him. And hes now 7 months old.” alexa

“from what I heard from sir jason, he had a lover, is that alright?” red

“im sure that she will forgive me for this, though I havent yet forgotten about her anyways.” jason

“well, shes now a part of you as one of the 6 elemental maidens anyways.” erwin

“anyways, docking has now been confirmed. We can now look and see the Yggdrasil.” red said after she saw the notice on her monitor

“alright guys, lets go.” jason

With that, they disembark from the origami and toured around the facilities that the Yggdrasil offers such as a snack bar, restaurant, and of course, project Brokkr for their recycling needs. Then they arrive at the first high speed elevator which carries them towards space where there are excalibur ships just waiting for people to board in. And as the year later is the proclaimed start of the war time against alien invaders, all the Yggdrasil will transport will be soldiers, as what they also heard from the engineers of the project. After they board on one of the excaliburs, they then rocket towards another place, which was named project rockstar. After they arrived at the station at some distance from the project, they were all greeted by generals, officials and scientists from all over the world.

“greetings, I am the assigned project manager of project rockstar, professor wells.”

“hello professor wells, im--” jason

“no need to introduce you sir, your really famous.” wells

“anyways, this is alexa, my wife. And this is my team.” jason gestured over to alexa and the team

“hey jason, whats this project for again?” alexa

“professor, if you may explain. But as they all are simple civilians, please explain everything simply.” jason

“with pleasure. Ahem. Project rockstar is a project which utilizes the speed of light to open a wormhole through spacetime, making a shortcut throughout the galaxy.” wells

“whoa, thats neat.” erwin

“the baby is very happy being born, and cant wait to be of some use to humanity.” charlie

“baby?” wells

“his powers is talking to machines, so its no surprise. Anyways, why is the project called rockstar?” red

“since if you travel to another planet or another galaxy, you would be a rockstar, is what rod mason was thinking during that time.” jason

“how do you know? I mean, hes long dead right?” wells

“i can also hear and see entities or souls of people professor.” jason

“amazing, what are they made of? And is that part of your power of the quantum?” wells

“yes, its part of my power. Also, I have already explained this to other scientists, so you can just ask them instead.” jason

“oh, ok.” wells said as he was sad to hear

“dont be a spoil sport jason. And wells, how about offering him a coffee meeting some time today?” alexa

“great idea! How about it jason?” wells

“oh, ok then. Anyways, status report of the project please.” jason

“ok. The project is going well and is about 99% completion. We just need to install the last part of the machine and run the simulations one more time.” wells

“thats good.” jason said with a smile

“so, as the thing is still installing itself, how about a quick coffee break?” alexa

“sure! Please, this way.” wells said gesturing to the other door

During the break, jason explained about entities to the professor as a topic and about the quantum as well. After a 30 minute heated discussion with the professor, they were now ready to begin with the actual physical test of the project where jason and the team had front row seats for the test, in the control room.
”are the magnets ready and heated up?”

“yes sir.”

“are the metals ready and loaded?”

“yes sir.”

“is the probe ready for drop?”

“yes sir.”

“good. How is the program for the project?”

“all green.”

“good. Start the project!”

“starting the project.”

The project then starts as 4 metals first go around the giant ring, which their propulsion is powered by magnets which are powered by a lot of electricity which comes from the iron heart, project torrents, or project infinity. Then after some time of reaching the speed of light itself, from the momentum of the metals going around the ring as well as the power boost from the magnets itself, they detect an energy signature at the center of the ring.

“detecting energy signature! Its a success!”

Everyone was celebrating when they heard that.

“its too early to celebrate yet! drop the probe now!” wells

“dropping probe.”

The probe was then dropped from the top so that it will fall into the wormhole being created, which the probe was project gravity fall of course, though attached with a line.

“probe has just entered the hole without any problems.”

“whats the status of the probe?” wells

“its now going through towards space, though it is without any clear destination yet. It is still going.”

“according to the theory from rod mason, we shouldnt open the wormhole for long. Close it!” wells

But as they were about to close the wormhole, it suddenly turned red.

“anomaly detected in wormhole!”

“what?! status report now!” wells

“the wormhole is just turning red sir!”

“i can see that! I want to know what is really happening!” wells

“we don’t know what is causing it sir!”

“darn it all! Pull out the probe now!” wells

“pulling probe now!”

But as they pulled the probe, the line was cut short.

“the line was cut sir!”

“damn it!” wells said and while nervously thinking

“wells! Snap out of it! You know what to do with the machine!” jason said as he grabbed wells shoulder

“but, after all the work that we have been through--” wells

“i know. Its the only way left. So man up!” jason said as he pointed towards the project

“ok then. Stop the machine now!” wells

“but sir--”

“just do it!” wells

“shutting down project rockstar!”

“sir! The project wont shut down!”

“what?!” all of them said

“i will go!” jason said as he walked speedily towards the door

“wait sir! Were going too!” fox said as the whole team also stood

“but the mission will be dangerous. I don’t know what might happen out there, I just cant--” jason

“sir! We are prepared.” fox

Feeling the teams determination, jason then approves of them coming along.

“charlie, you stay here and guard my wife at all costs!” jason

“yes sir!” charlie said as alexa nods in agreement

With that, they then go towards a ship (excalibur) for a change of clothes.
”im still amazed sir, by how we humans can achieve such engineering feats.” erwin said as they were all putting on their suits

“no time for awe erwin, we know what must be done.” jason

“yes sir!”

“now here is the mission, with my power of quantum, I will attempt to close the wormhole. For anything else, max and fox, you be the judge.” jason said as he finishes

“yes sir!”

After a few seconds, they finished putting on their suits and boosts towards the project rockstar. But after they got out of the station, they were in for a surprise as there where gravitons suddenly popping out of the wormhole, which also has gotten a bit bigger.

“sir jason! We have a situation!” wells said over the comms

“i know, I just saw it. We just exited the station and on our way towards the machine.” jason

“alright then, god speed.” wells said before he turns off the transmission

After a few minutes of boost towards the project, they arrived at the top of the ring, which was damaged from the big gravitons that just came out of the wormhole.

“come in, anyone! Is anyone still alive?” red said over the open transmission but no response came.

After about 10 gravitons which has passed through, they suddenly saw alien fighters also passing through the wormhole.

“look sir!” fox

“damn it! Lets do this!” jason said before he got up from his seat

They then go outside so that they can proceed with the mission. Jason then attempts to close the wormhole while the others are busy with fighting off the alien fighters which has passed through.

“is it closed yet sir?” max said after a while of fighting against the alien fighters

The rest of them were close to exhaustion with using their powers by that time.

“nope! A wormhole of this size and magnitude can be closed. But. Im still. Trying!” jason said as he struggles to close the wormhole

After some more time, jason was finally able to close the wormhole where all the other ships didn’t make it through, all except for the first 15 who were able to pass through.

After that event, they all went home to their home at the philippines and got a good nights sleep there, as well as a full stomach. After a while of carefully examining the event, they then turned a copy of the report to jason and his team.

They were now at a meeting inside mason industries, along with the whole team and board of directors present, where no one has said a word yet.

“so basically, they all came from the future. That is interesting.” jason said in a thinking pose

As they all agreed, jason then calls richard about a ride to the US, but he refused to go saying you can do it and sent E-tickets for him, in business class. Upon reaching the US, he then enters the UN building for a meeting.

“there is basically no one here.” jason said after he entered the room for the world leaders

“over here jason! Im here! Please come and sit anywhere.” baron said as he was on the stage

“where is everyone?” arent they coming?” jason

“its funny, since I have already sent invitations to them but none has come except you.”

With that signal, special ops then stormed in to lock on to jason with their guns.

“since I have nothing else to do, then speak. Though there are no media coverage today, what happened?” jason said a bit angry

Baron couldn’t answer from that, until a shadow finally spoke.

They were all at a stand still, where baron is thinking what to do, while the special ops are all just standing waiting for orders, then the shadow had no other choice but to move. Until a transmission came which was then passed on towards baron.

“like, what happened?” jason said being surprised

“it seems that one of the people from the future has woken up, and has told that the future is dark all thanks to me.” baron said as he was in despair on the stage

“if we sign a peace treaty with the other 2 sides, they will just set a foothold into our planet first before setting fire to us and our planet. That was what the person said.”

“you know, there are very numerous futures and probabilities which exists in our world right now. How can you claim that what the subject has seen is just one of those futures? Also, as long as mutants are on this planet and will prosper from now until the future, the planet will be secure.” jason

“but there wont be you in the future! How can we be certain of it?! that we can really win this fight!”

“as it stands, they are still at odds with each other even if they are forming an alliance against us, so that is our advantage. don’t just give up hope man! Fight with us!” jason said as he stood

“but what if we would lose?”

“we wont lose. We have our technology with us to back us up right? It hasn’t failed us yet. Humanity hasn’t also failed us yet as well. Take responsibility for your role as president and lead this country!” jason said with conviction

“y-your right. Can we have peace and put all this behind us?”

“sure!” jason said as he walks towards the stage

The special ops were on guard but baron signaled that it was alright. So with a handshake on stage, they were able to reconcile. But after that, the same soldier came again to inform baron of grave news.

“what is it now?” jason said as they let go of their hands

“it seems that mark has just launched all the nukes in the world and headed straight for all ships on space.” baron

“what?! at this rate, even I wont make it! How did this happen?!” jason said as he looked at the window, thinking also what to do

“i also brought the kill code for all our countrys nukes and have hackers at the pentagon hack the networks of other countries to launch nukes at command, as per instruction by mark.” baron said ashamed

“yes, you should be ashamed of yourself for believing in a mad man.” jason said being pissed off

“im so really sorry about this. I promise from now on, to work even harder.” baron said as he sat on the floor, crying

“hahh.. if you can promise me that much, then we can maybe compromise. But you would also have to take responsibility as well by telling the people the truth. Pride and money means nothing to doing the right thing.” jason

“your right. I will tell the whole truth to the world. But this might cause chaos in world order right?” baron

“yes, it will. Which is why we will need you to step down as president once all the repairs are done.”

“but I just became a president.”

With that, he agreed and made a public announcement to the world about the truth of it all. With jason at his back all the time in the press conference, always glaring angrily at baron, all the people could really feel the pressure from his anger. With baron promising to do what must be done and to step down once its all over, the press was then at an uproar with loads of questions. And finally, he declared mark now as an international fugitive.
