Chapter 103:
The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter
I have been rehearsing for two weeks now as the male lead for the drama. I have got to say, the story is pretty good and compact for a drama. As an addicted reader myself, I am hooked with the plot. I feel like there is a deeper meaning in the story than what it seems.
"Umm.. hey... Miko-chan..."
I hate my voice. It cracks during stupid times. Now I have made the situation awkward...
"Oh hey, male lead!"
Miko looked at me in the eyes. I tried to do the same, but I couldn't... if this goes on, my dream will remain unfulfilled. My dream of 'her'.
"What were you... like... thinking when you wrote the story?"
I am glad theres not much sound in the auditorium. If it were she wouldn't be able to hear me thanks to the low voice that I hate.
She pouted..?
"If you didn't like the story, just say it!"
Ehh?!?
"No... that's not what you think!!"
"Hmph-"
She turned her head away from me. I seriously don't know what to do in these situations. I don't interact with woman often. I am afraid of them... though I hate to admit it. But I want to change. But it won't be possible if my voice squeaks in the middle of conversation. I need to breathe first.
"That's... not what you think. I think the story is quite well written. But I couldn't help but think that there is some deeper meaning behind this story than it seems... thats all. Sorry that I worded it wrongly."
I looked at her for her reaction.
"Eh?"
She looked like she would hug me with those sparkly eyes if she could. It made my heart skip a beat. Are all females like this? Probably not. But she is way too over enthusiastic. Her aura is sucking up my energy.
"Thank you... I have never expected someone to catch that."
"So... what is it?"
"Well..." She wore a smiled that looked painful. "Thats somehow a long story. But as a reader it's your job to find out the deeper meaning."
What can I do to remove her pain? It looked like she was on the verge of crying...
"You are a skilled reader from the looks of it."
"No.. it's just that I read some books... thats about all."
"Then try to find it. The deeper meaning. If the writer tells the answer then it would be all pointless, right?" She went away as some other job was needed to be done.
It was almost time for me to start rehearsing too. If I remember correctly, the drama will start at 10 AM.
"Such an odd time..."
Other stage work will probably take away our first half of the festival. So we only had like half day day for other things.
I unconsciously gazed at Ayane-chan, who just finished her rehearsal and was talking to Miko-chan.
"Half a day for preparations..." Could I really do it?
This will change everything in my life... in our life.
It's a high risk, high reward.
"Hmmm... Miko and the Kouta looks close to each other..." Ayane grinned looking at them while they were conversing.
