"so? What happened next?" lica said, as she was listening to nikki

Its now monday, and the girls have been listening to nikki tell of leos heroics, as the whole class sat near each other.

"after the fight, as leo and brian were both able to take down all the hoodlums, the police came and captured all of them. Even though some were able to escape, the leader was also captured, so i guess its alright." nikki said

"what about leo and brian? Were they injured?" lica said as they were also curious

"it was also a good thing brian came, though leo could have taken care of all of them." rena said. "anyways, what happened next?"

"leo stood up to protect me, and in the end, he and brian had some injuries. I dont know about brian, as he went away by himself." nikki said, remaniscing what happened

"putting your feelings aside, what happened to leo?" lica said, very curious

"Hahh.. Anyways, leo and i were escorted home by the police, thats all." nikki said

"that must have been very scary." a girl said

"yes, and it would have been very traumatic, if it werent for leo being there." nikki said, with love

"tch!" lica said, as she got jealous

"guys! I have news! It seems leo and brian was called to the principals office earlier!" a guy in their class said

"they must be questioned by the principal, or maybe even the president." rena said, worried

"whatever it is, i think leo can handle it." nikki said, as lica agrees

"ok class, go back to your seats." hera said, as she comes in to start homeroom. "and announcement.. Due to the nature of what happened to leo and brian, they both will stay at the principals office until later, for further questioning." she made a note for the class

The class now had some murmurs about the possibilities of what might happen with both of them.

"quiet down people.." hera said to the class. "And miss taym, you may also go to the principals office if you want, as your parents are here as well." she said to nikki

"what?!" nikki said, before she stood and left the classroom

In the principals office, where all of them were gathered, except nikki, and sitting on their respective seats..

"thank you leo, for explaining the situation to us." kate said, as she was sitting on her chair

"yeah.. Its been a bit hard, getting into trouble one way or another, but i will manage." leo said

"once again, we thank you for protecting nikki, leo, brian." said nikkis father, carl taym, the rich looking guy

"we really just cant thank you enough." nikkis mother said, maple taym, the rich and young looking woman

"its no problem actually, right leo?" brian said, as leo agrees

"i think its time we add some bodyguards to her, when she ever goes out dear." maple said, as carl is also considering

"i think thats a bit unnecessary." leo said, as everybody was surprised. "because shes really a responsible girl, for all i know and get to know."

"really?" carl said, also surprised at the reason. "if you think so, can you also be with her, whenever she goes out? I will pay you if you want."

"there is no need for that sir--" leo said, before brian interrupts

"if you want a bodyguard for her, im always available, if paid." brian said

"just why are you even accepting on leos behalf?" theo said

"they are going to pay us for our services, whats wrong with that?" brian said

"so you know, we are still students. So thats the biggest reason we mustnt and couldnt agree with such a proposal." theo said

"hahh.. Fine." brian said, as he resigned himself, which relieved kate as well

"dad! Mom!" nikki said after she slams the door open, and a bit exhausted from running

"hi dear." maple said, as the parents wave a bit at nikki

"come in nikki, we were discussing about your bodyguard." carl said with a smile

"like i said before dad, i dont need a bodyguard! I just dont have to go out by myself anymore!" nikki said, pouting

"but still--"carl said, before being interrupted by maple

"she already said so herself darling, you are just worrying too much." maple said

"in any case, come on in miss nikki, and have a seat as well." kate said, before nikki agrees and sat with the unused chair at the side

"so, just what reward would you want leo? You saved nikki mostly, where brian just helped." theo said, curious

"do i really have to--" leo said before being interrupted

"just agree with a reward leo. Once they see something of worth, they really will pursue it." nikki said

"alright then. If i have to say something, i would say.. That if you and your corporation will help fund my parents with their research, it would be great." leo said

"hmm.. Just what do your parents do? And what is this research they are doing?" carl said

"they are government researchers, and their research concerns all about dark energy." leo said

"seriously?" carl said, as they all were surprised, except nikki

"im not quite surprised, though whats dark energy?" nikki said

"thats your question? Were you listening in your science class?" kate said as nikki embarassingly signals no. "theo, please explain."

"at the time when the aliens were there to save us, on the fifth krood invasion, they confirmed of the existence of dark energy and its uses. When one of them communicated through some telepathy towards our countrys leaders." theo said

"and what are its uses actually?" nikki said

"in order for us to make warp drives, and to gather all the needed dark matter for the process." leo said

"wow! Thats some next level stuff!" nikki said

"and thats not all. Under the wrong hands, it can be used to make wormholes to different timelines in the multiverse, or towards other worlds in the universe, as what my father theorized." leo said, as nikki is a bit confused

"in any case, if thats the case, then let me help finance the research. Im sure his research will be very fruitful in the future." carl said, as he stood to make a handshake

"alright, its a deal then." leo said, as he also shook his hand

"what about me? Whats my reward?" brian said, frustrated

"were you only doing good for that purpose then?" leo said, as everyone was now a bit annoyed

"tch! suit yourselves." brian said, as he stood up to make an exit

"well then, i will now adjourn this meeting." kate said, before everybody stood up

"once again, i thank you for protecting nikki from tbose thugs." carl said, as hes still shaking hands with leo

"its no problem at all, shes my friend after all." leo said, before they let go of each other

"hey leo, lets go back to the classroom now! I think they want an explanation to what happened to us." nikki said, as she goes to leo and linked arms

"whats really the meaning of this leo?" carl said, now acting like an overprotective father

"haha.. I dont know." leo said, now nervous

"dont play dumb leo, we just had a date that day. Right?" nikki said teasingly

"leo, please explain yourself." carl said, now annoyed

"darling, let them go now." maple said, softly to carl

"but he hasnt--" carl said, before seeing her face

"let them go now. And how many times do i have to tell you, not to dote your daughter too much." maple said, a bit angry

"hahh.. Ok." carl said, as he resigned himself

"thats what they said.. Lets go leo." nikki happily said, before she pulled leo to the door and back to the classroom

Then, in the darkness of a dark alley at night..

"here is your mission for the day." guy 1 said, before handing a picture and a letter

"in short, i just have to kidnap this girl right here? Is that right?" guy 2 said, confirming the transaction

"yes, thats right." guy 1 said

"i will have you know, that my guys arent that much of gentlemen, so whatever happens in between, you wont blame me for it right?" guy 2 said

"yes, of course. As long as you wont kill her, anything else is alright." guy 1 said

"good. Let me and my guys take care of it." guy 2 said, before walking away
