Chapter 681: Ronzic Fills Out His Staff Part 4 — Head of Surveillance— Hayleen

Narrator: Just 6 months ago. In Ronzic’s personal room.

Ronzic is sitting at his desk with some papers on it. He examines the papers closely but is soon interrupted when the door to his room opens and Laura walks in.

Laura: (Speaking urgently) “Ronzic, there’s a problem!”

Ronzic looks up from his papers and raises an eyebrow as he responds.

Ronzic: (Speaking questionably) “What’s wrong? Why the urgency?”

Laura: “This is bad! Some slaves escaped and have stolen our spaceship prototype!”

Ronzic opens his eyes wide and quickly stands up.

Ronzic: (Speaking angrily) “What!? How!?”

Laura: “We don’t know the details yet!”

Ronzic: “Damn it all! Let’s hurry! We won’t let them get away!”

Ronzic rushes from his spot and follows Laura out of the room.

Narrator: Outside of the base.

Ronzic and Laura arrive to see the spaceship prototype trying to straighten out in the air as dark divine beings and demons look up at it from below.

Ronzic: (Angrily shouting) “What are you all doing!? Don’t just stand there! Shoot it down!!”

A male dark divine being turns around to look at Ronzic.

Male Dark Divine Being: (Speaking with an excusing tone) “But Lord Ronzic, if we do that, we’d lose the ship and all progress on Project Sputnik!”

Ronzic: (Snapping back with anger) “If the ship gets away, we will lose all of our progress on Project Sputnik AND give the other slaves the idea that they can escape!”

Narrator: In the ship.

A male angel is piloting the ship and he appears to still be figuring out the controls.

Male Angel Pilot: (Speaking urgently) “I’ve almost got it all down! We will be flying out of this planet very soon!”

A female light divine being is standing next to him who appears more panicked.

Female Light Divine Being: (Speaking even more urgently) “They’re not going to just watch us leave out there! Hurry up!!”

Pilot: (Shouting) “I’m learning on the fly here!! Stop yelling at me or it will take even longer!”

Everyone else on the ship is preparing themselves for the ship to fly off into space by checking all of the ship’s other systems.

Just a minute later, the pilot shouts with a combination of excitement and urgency.

Pilot: “Yes!! I got it!! Hang on, everyone! We’re getting out of here!”

Narrator: Back at the ground.

The dark divine beings and demons watch as the ship begins to fly upwards at an angle.

Ronzic grits his teeth and stomps the ground.

Ronzic: (Yelling) “This is unacceptable!!”

Suddenly, Ronzic hears the voice of a nervous woman.

???: (Speaking nervously) “Umm, excuse me.”

Ronzic turns to his left to see Hayleen looking at him.

Hayleen: “I b-believe my p-power can handle th-this…”

Ronzic: (Replying urgently) “There’s no time for questions! If you believe you can do it then do it!”

Hayleen nods with urgency.

Hayleen: “Yes, sir!”

Hayleen spreads out her arms wide and looks up at the ship flying off into the atmosphere. She loudly screams.

Hayleen: HAAAAAAAAAAH!!

A powerful visible clear force blasts forward from Hayleen’s entire body up in the direction of the ship.

In the ship, the female light divine being notices something on the rearview camera.

Female Light Divine Being: (Speaking urgently) “Wait! What’s that!?”

Pilot: (Replying in panic) “Oh no! I can’t avoid that!!”

The powerful clear force directly hits the ship, causing a massive blast of power that sends extremely heavy winds out in all directions, the blasts tears through many parts of the ship. However, it does push the ship even farther into the atmosphere and eventually out in to space. The ship is no longer functioning as it drifts in space while still within Pylon’s gravitational pull.

Down on the planet’s surface, all of the dark divine beings and demons stare in awe at the incredible power that Hayleen displayed. They brace themselves as the extremely heavy winds start to push some of them back. Once the winds subside. Ronzic looks at Laura.

Ronzic: “Prepare a telescope. If her attack finished the job, I want to see the results for myself.”

Laura: “Yes, I will prepare one quickly.”

Inside the ship, every single light divine being and angel have died from the power of Hayleen’s attack.

Seen outside the ship, it is still drifting in space within Pylon’s gravitational pull.

Narrator: Inside of Ronzic’s base.

Ronzic is looking through a large telescope through an open ceiling. He smiles as he continues to look through it. He looks over at Laura.

Ronzic: “Excellent. The ship is entirely non-functional and the escaped slaves on board are likely dead. I am pleased. That woman… What was her name?”

Laura: “I asked someone about her because I was curious. Her name is Hayleen.”

Ronzic: “I would like to meet with her. I feel that she has a place on my staff. Bring her here.”

Laura: “Yes, I will find her and bring her here.”

Narrator: Later that day. Ronzic meets with Hayleen in his personal room.

Ronzic sits on his couch while Hayleen sits on a chair across from him.

Ronzic: “Are you aware why I have brought you in here?”

Hayleen: (Speaking a little nervously) “No, sir. Miss Laura just wanted told me you wanted to see me without saying why.”

Ronzic: “Well, I have good news for you. I want you on my staff as the Head of Surveillance.”

Hayleen opens her eyes wide in surprise.

Hayleen: (Almost speechless) “W- w- what…? You do?”

Ronzic nods.

Ronzic: “Yes. Normally, I would do a full interview but your power is the perfect thing for this position and today’s incident has revealed to me that I need someone to keep surveillance in the areas outside of the base. If any slave tries to pull what the ones earlier did, you will be ready to blow them away.”

Ronzic stands up. Hayleen looks at him with awe as she stands up too. Ronzic holds out his hand and welcomely smiles.

Ronzic: “Welcome to my staff, my Head of Surveillance.”

Hayleen warmly smiles and shakes his hand.

Hayleen: “Thank you, Lord Ronzic.”

Narrator: No interview skills needed! Hayleen got the position by using her incredible power!
