Chapter 117:
The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter
Good thing he isn't in my class, otherwise I wouldn't be able to stand the crowd. But still, the number of people who usually stays inside the classroom during lunch time doesn't change much, but today the classroom is awfully quiet.
As I looked around, I saw that most of the people that were passing by the hallway were going to the class in front of us. "I forgot to make lunch today..." I was disappointed. The classroom is so quiet that I wanted to eat here, but I had to forget making my lunch...
"Good thing I have some money on me. I should go to the cafeteria." But how should I go mattered. The stairs was ahead of the crowd that formed in the class in front of ours, so I had to wait.
"But I can't, can I? This crowd will stay until the lunch break is over..." I had to push through the crowd before I could reach the stairs. But the people were ruthless, they counter-pushed me. Honestly I felt very annoyed. I am not trying to meet him that you have to push me back to show me that you were there first.
"What kind of war was that..." I was already out of breath when I reached the stairs. Cafeteria was close. "Eh? When did I bring my book with me? Well good thing I brought this though." It was a book that I was reading. It was little over halfway through, and it was a point just before the climax. I was waiting for a chance to read it.
Our class was on the second floor, and cafeteria was a floor below us. It was good that it was this close. I just had to cross the stairs and the cafeteria was in front of me.
Among the wide range of food that they offered, I always bought that same thing. "Two honey buns please." And handed over a coin of 500 yen. It's the best. It fills the stomach, gives me two and is cheap to buy. But I can't waste time here for much longer. The book is making me itch to read. But cafeteria is already full, and it loud so this is not the place... I can go to my room again, the crowd probably got bigger.
That means theres only one place to go to thats quiet. Its the rooftop.
"But will it be open now?" I wondered. But I had to go up and check it out for myself.
As I went up, I saw what I expected. The crowd doubled in size. I wonder if he is alive in all those people. He might die from the lack of oxygen... but for now, up I go.
"Sorry guys, but I have to go out somewhere..." Kuze said to everyone and went out in a rush.
"Aww... I just came to meet you though."
"Where are you going?"
"Should we come too?"
"Sorry... I have to go." He rushed out the crowd without a proper explanation.
