Chapter 1:

Chapter 1.0

The Integrity of a Dishonoured Samurai

3rd Person's POV

In the abandoned city of Balestrino, Italy, around the middle of the starry night sky, a white hair, male teen with blue highlights at the edges of his hair and eyes like sapphire gems silently crouches behind a wall in a worn concrete house with a shattered roof. Suddenly, a girl with tanned skin, chestnut hair, and beautiful hazelnut eyes spring out of nowhere beside the protagonist. She nods at the young man with solemnity in her eyes.

"Everything is ready, Lieutenant," she whispers at his left ear and soon prepares her artillery.

"Yosh (alright)," he picks up his HT, aka handheld transmitter, to speak with his other teammates, "the rat trap is a go. Eagle Eye and One-Shot get ready…."

"Roger," replies both of his sniping comrades. After a minute of waiting, an unfamiliar figure walks out of the forsaken church with a silver spider symbol on its right chest. As he carries his AR-15 assault rifle and walks a few metres far from the entrance, he suddenly fall to the ground and grunts in pain. The blood flows out of his thigh; however, the bleeding stopped by a cloth wrapped above the bleeding area by the victim. He grabs his own HT and calls his teammate for support as his warns them as well to be careful.

"Looks like everything is going to plan, Lieutenant," she quietly tells the leader of the predicted fruition.

"Of course, it must…," he mutter to himself. Just a few minutes we heard marching of footsteps from the entrance of the church. The other comrades of their target then soon to appear. However, still inside the church beside the doors which is a good move to avoid getting sniped.

"Where d'you get hit and from which direction?" one of the victim's comrades questions him before planning a way to aid him.

"My thigh…! From the east…!" he shouts in agony and pain. While they focus on their injured teammate, Michelle and Raiden stealthily split our location. Raiden quickly change to another broken house at the east of our targets while Michelle hides at the belfry of the church. He climbs up at the wooden beams of the cottage, but still hidden by the shattered roof. Slightly unsheathing my katana, he uses the moonlight to reflect the light at his partner. She nods and likewise gives a signal with the same procedure to signal her location to One-Shot. After a while, she raises her thumb at Raiden. Picking up a pebble from his pocket, he throws it at the west of their prey opposite of where he is.

"They're here. Everyone get ready for some havoc. Troop 22, go take a scout of that noise," the commander orders.

"Yes, sir!" Troop 22 responds and scouts on the area where they heard the pebble. As they focus on the pebble noise, Michelle moves inside the church. According to Raiden's plan, she will take out one to two enemy troops then retreat to her former location, which she executes perfectly.

The Commander demands over his HT. "Troop 22, report."

"Nothing here, sir," he walks back to the church while the Commander orders Troop 18 and 19 to guard Troop 21, who was carrying a briefcase. However, he finds out that they were missing.

"Troop 22, hide yourself in one of those houses quickly!" warns the Commander in panic and fear. With no response from his scout, he contacts the HQ for backup.

"Raiden's" POV

"It's time to move, Michelle," I command. She gives a nod to me and once again enters the church. I peek at the entrance of the church to see it full of smoke through a broken opening. Eagle Eye shot the injured victim, killing him. I run down to church's entrance and slightly rest against the wall while picking up my dual Berettas from my drop leg holster. As one of the target heads out the exit, a small beam of lightning from my Berettas — as small as my index finger — pierces and burns his skull.

Slowly walking into the dark smoke-filled church and using my Wolf's Eye ability making my pupil turn white and my iris glows into a bright solid cyan, I shoot any targets that come across me. Bullets start flying at me; however, all end up vaporised by the beam. Finishing the other troops and putting my artillery away afterwards, I discover that Michelle ties up the captain of their mission and the professor that we are looking for with her carbon fibre rope.

"Lieutenant, Lieutenant! I got 'em!" she jumps in joy while holding the two ropes of our prey.

"Good job, Michelle," I pat her gently on the head while I get a cute giggle from her. "Sate (Well then)…," I walk towards the leader and burst open her protective mask using my static electricity I produce. It reveals to be a white-hair girl with a purple outline and eyes like an amethyst. I grab her hair and pull her up as she groans in pain. I interrogate her about the person who sends her and their goal.

"I don't know—" she shouts in pain as I produce more static electricity in her body, giving her a shocking experience. "I swear, I don't know! They threatened me to obey their orders without any info. Because if I don't my siblings would die! Please believe me—" I cut her off by using Alpha's Authority to inflict unmeasurable fear making her brain overload causing her to sleep.

"Remarkable! So, this is one ability of Alpha's Authority! I didn't know it could be used this way—" hitting his vagus nerve with a chop of my hand, he falls asleep, too.

"Every time I meet this guy, he couldn't shut his mouth…," I sigh while Michelle laughs at me mockingly. Contacting my other partners through the HT, I tell them we have the package. They respond with a "roger." As I put away the HT into my pocket, a sound of a helicopter's blade can be heard outside the church. I pick up the professor to my shoulder while Michelle carries likewise to the captain. We both run out of the church to see a Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey deploying troops. I place the professor beside the church walls and prepare myself for another round. As soon as the troops touch the floor, I fire rapidly at them as they soon fall lifelessly to the ground. Then a mysterious dark figure with a catlike masquerade lands gracefully to the rocky floor.

"So, this is the famous mysterious 'Raiden' that my Mistress was fond of," he smirks and glances at Michelle while bringing out two knives out of his sleeves. In an instant, he slits Michelle's throat; however, she fades away and appears behind. "Well, well! Nice moves for a girl! I'm indeed impress—" his praises to Michelle cut off by the unanticipated holes in his right thigh, arm, and chest. He drops to the ground, injured. "You used your partner as bait and fire at me. No wonder they called you as the 'Dishonoured Warrior'! Your way of fighting has certainly no honour in it!" he laughs maniacally.

"That's true. Why would I waste my time on something trivial such as honour if there is a more efficient way?" I sighed as my pistol aims for his head. Suddenly, he backflips off the ground. The burns and wounds that pierces him disappear.

"You think mere electricity can defeat me? However, it would be of great honour if I would get sliced by 'Raiju's Fang'," he points at my katana. Bat-like wings appear from his back and his canines grow longer. Before he makes a move, I fire rapidly at him missing nothing, but his healing abilities never stop. I have to find a weak spot quick. My firing doesn't stop and my pistols never leave my target as I continue to dodge every strike from his knives.

"Che-chan, fall back with the others." I command.

     "But—!"

     "Now."

"Hai, wakarimasu (Yes, understand)! " She uses her HT to tell the snipers to fall back as she opens a portal, taking the unconscious two with her.

As the battle continues on, the power storage of my Berettas depletes as I store them back into my holster to charge, and his swift and graceful slices continue on. My combat plan changes to hand-to-hand, and then I notice that his regeneration is slower than usual.

"Tch…, back me up!" he shouts at the Bell Boeing as he dashes toward the dead bodies. Distracting me with their hordes of fiery bullets, I bolt around to avoid any casualties.

"Lightning Element: Raiju's Advancement to the Heavens! " I summon bolts of lightning from the ground towards the sky, vaporizing the Bell Boeing to oblivion. When I change my focus to my opponent, he sucks the remaining blood of his dead comrades, and all his injuries heal in a blink of an eye. "Naruhudo (I see)…," I analyse the situation.

"Ho, ho. You have seen my Style, and now you must die—"

Out of nowhere, a female figure dropkicks at his face, revealing his blue eyes and western structure of his face as his mask removes from the impact.

"Yosha! Direct hit!" she cheers. But her celebration cuts off by my palm, landing on the back of her head. "Ittai! What was that for?"

     "For not listening to orders…"

     "But—"

     "No, buts."

     "What if—"

     "No ifs."

     "Mou (geez)! "

The guy stands up and wipes the blood off his lips. He charges to me once again with a battle cry that I can't understand.

"Iaijutsu: A Million Slice…," I unsheathe in an instant and sheathe once again. His entire body detaches and forms into tiny cubes. However, he collects his other body parts. As he gains human form, I repeat the process until his regeneration runs and incomplete. Now, he looks like a disabled man with no arms and one leg.

"It ain't over yet!" he shouts with a bloody smile. A shadowy portal appears 50 metres away and 200 metres high. It summons a young boy and girl with the same hair and eye features of the captain we just captured. These siblings strap with duct tape around their bodies with a time bomb about thirty seconds. The two kids cry in fear as they fall to their explosive destiny.

"Che-chan, Key Synthesis," I demand while holding her hand.

     "Demo (But) —!"

     "I'll be fine."

She hesitates for a while as her eyes focus on the falling kids. "Wakata (Understood)… Space!"

     "Time…."

     "Manipulation."

     "Reverse Locality."

Instantly, the two kids and I switch places, making me the victim of the bomb and the fall. I try to untangle the tape, but the diameter is too small for me, making breathing difficult. Then I explode….
