Part 2: Exposing the Truth

Grant immediately went to work as he walked to Jason and discussed what they should do next with Jason believing that they should focus on training but Grant believes this to be something that they'll have to do when they complete the next plan that Grant had come up and after whispering it into Jason's ear, the two began to argue whether this task was worth accomplishing but in the end, Grant won the arguement and Jason was forced to go along with it.

Although Jason did say "What's point in completing it?" With the tone of his voice sounding like he had given up or seemly saw no value in it and noticing this, Grant immediately slapped him, annoyed by how Jason was not interested in doing this task. "What's the point? Surely when we defeat them, we'll likely have the information!" Said Jason, continuing to whine senselessly but Grant again slapped him.

As he said "I thought you came to Londinium to clear your family's name and prove your fathers innocence!" His tone growing as he tries knocking some sense into Jason.

But Jason answered "But... What if..." but in trying to speak, Jason struggled to find the words that he wanted to describe the whole task but he inevidently gave up and said "Very well... Let us do it-"

But suddenly, Grant grabbed Jason by his collar shirt and brought him closer and said "What the hell is wrong with you? Where the hell is that sudden desperation to clear your familys name?!" The others turned to face Grant and Jason with worry on their faces.

Grant continued "Where the hell is that fire that once existed in those eyes of yours?!" Jason tried to calm down Grant but he refused, saying "Like hell I'm going to calm down! I agreed to this task for a reason Jason! And do you know what that reason is?!"

Jason was left to answer the question by himself and when he gave an answer, he said "Because of my passion?"

But after saying that, Grant slapped him and said "Wrong you idiot! I took this task because I understand what its like! I understand what its like to be framed for something that I never did and it hurts me everytime I remember it because those immature pricks that spread those lies, they got the better of me and now I have to live through that, knowing that they will always bring that incident and do you know why? Because thats all they remember me by!"

Jason, as well as the others were left stunned by Grant's words and Jason even saw a slight tear coming from his eyes, showing how much that event has traumatised him dearly. Grant let Jason go and made him sat back down.

Jason then explained why he had lost motivation, stating "I guess... I didn't think that proving my fathers innocence wasn't worth your time... I thought... Maybe we could stop the terror that the Mohawks have displayed upon Londinium and maybe... Maybe people will at least have some kind of hope or at least try and fight back... I guess I lost meaning on what I wanted and instead focused on something that could benefit us all."

The group stayed silent until Grant decided to slap him, causing Jason to ask "Ow! What was that for?"

Grant answered "Its simple... You weren't thinking straight... If you think Londinium is going to improve just because we took down an empire gang like the Mohawks then you need think properly... No matter what we do, they will always be someone else to fill in the previous dudes shoe... But the reason we fight is because its like you said, we want to give hope to not just the people but to those that have had enough of corruption and want to make a stand..."

Grant knelt down and continued "Like I said, it may never change but we can always try and give hope to others because when you look outside, they desperately need it..."

Yuri abruptly looks at his watch and then returns to listening to what Grant was rambling about. Grant again continued "Now lets do this... For those that matter to us." Grant looks at Liam and smiled at them with him smiling back. Grant stood up and offered Jason his hand. "Come on, we have city to burn."

Jason sighed and said "Fine." As he grabbed Grants hand and stood up.

Yuri groans, saying "Finally, thats done with, what's our mission for today?"

Grant answered "Its simple, we complete the task that we were given."

"Wait, you mean expose Pelias' crimes?" Asked Herald.

Grant answered "Yes, the sooner we expose his lies, the quicker we can prepare for the final battle."

Suddenly, Yuri interrupted him, saying, "Yeah but heres the thing, Xythis is likely at the PM's office along with his remaing and annoying Mohawk buddies!"

Grant then answered "Thats true but thats why I had finally gotten in touch with my friend he said that he'll get our pestering friend out of the office, just enough time to find any evidence..."

Suddenly Jasons phone went off and he was forced to answer and during the call, he had received some terrifying news. He hung up the call and returned to the others.

"What happened?" Asked Yuri.

To which Jason answered "Its those italian gangster wannabes! They said that they want Liam and Herald." Hearing this, Liam and Herald grew worried. Jason continued "Apparantly, they want the two of them to do a job for them, in exchange for their services... We have an hour to decide..."

Both Liam and Herald were worried about what the wannabe italian gangsters would want with them but then Grant shouted "That's it." Leaving then curious as to what he could be planning.
