Halo was at the private airport, adjusting her luggage on top of the private jet that would take them to New Asia. She was excited and nervous at the same time, about to embark on one of the biggest trips of her career. It was impossible not to feel the whirlwind of emotions when thinking about the magnitude of the upcoming show. Myndi, always attentive to details, watched closely as the young artist arranged her things. The gentle morning breeze caressed their faces, and the promise of a new adventure was in the air.
— Hey, Halo? Did you use the products you received in the mail? — asked Myndi, with a sly smile. Her voice was casual, but her eyes shone with a mix of curiosity and expectation.
Halo turned, surprised that Myndi knew about the products. Her wide eyes reflected the surprise.
— I did, but how do you know about that? — she asked, raising an eyebrow. — Was it you who sent them?
Myndi let out a mocking laugh, the sound echoing lightly in the quiet airport environment.
— Who else would it be, dear? I saw you seemed very concerned about your appearance lately and knew you would love them.
Halo smiled, feeling grateful for Myndi's care and attention. It was good to know that someone was always thinking of her. Both boarded the jet and soon were flying towards New Asia. The journey was long, but the excitement and anticipation made the time more bearable. Halo looked out the window, watching the clouds pass by as she thought about what was to come. Every moment in the air felt like a prelude to something grand.
Upon arriving in New Asia, they were met by an entourage that took them directly to the hotel where they would be staying. The hotel was luxurious, with a breathtaking view of the futuristic and bustling city. Skyscrapers glittered in the distance, and the city lights seemed to dance in a perpetual ballet of colors. Myndi and Halo were escorted to their suites, where they could rest before the big show. The suites were a spectacle themselves, with sophisticated decor and all the comfort they could desire.
After settling into her room, Halo lay on the bed, staring at the ornate ceiling. Her thoughts were racing. She knew that this show would be a turning point in her career, and the pressure was beginning to weigh on her. Myndi, on the other hand, was in the room next door, organizing all the event details, checking contracts, and ensuring everything was perfect. Myndi's dedication was unwavering, and she knew that nothing could be left to chance.
The next morning, Halo and Myndi met in the hotel restaurant for breakfast. The atmosphere was light, and the view of the city through the panoramic window was inspiring. The sunlight filtered through the windows, creating a cozy and tranquil environment.
— How are you feeling, Halo? — asked Myndi, while pouring herself a cup of coffee. The rich aroma of the beverage filled the air.
— A little nervous, but excited. I don't think I've ever been this anxious for a show before — replied Halo, smiling. Her eyes sparkled with anticipation.
Myndi nodded, understanding.
— That's normal. This show is going to be huge. But you're ready, trust me. You've worked so hard to get here.
After breakfast, they decided to take a walk around the city to relieve some of the tension. New Asia was vibrant, with futuristic skyscrapers and bustling streets. Halo was enchanted by the architecture and cultural diversity. The gleaming buildings and lively streets offered a spectacle of their own.
— This place is incredible, Myndi. — exclaimed Halo, looking around with admiration. — I've never seen anything like it.
Myndi smiled, pleased to see Halo distracting herself and relaxing a bit.
— It really is spectacular. Enjoy every moment.
After a day of sightseeing and relaxation, they returned to the hotel to prepare for the show. When night finally arrived, a sense of anticipation hung in the air. The stadium where the show would take place was colossal, with a capacity for more than a million people. The crowd was already gathering, eager to see Halo's performance. The stadium lights flickered like stars, and the excitement was palpable.
Backstage, Halo was surrounded by her team and other artists from Myndi's agency. The atmosphere was one of camaraderie and mutual support. Myndi, however, couldn't hide the growing concern in her chest. She watched Halo from a distance, feeling a mix of pride and sadness. Myndi's heart was torn between happiness for Halo's imminent success and a dark premonition she couldn't shake off.
— Myndi, are you okay? — asked one of the assistants, noticing her expression.
Myndi forced a smile, trying to hide her worries.
— I'm fine, just a little nervous. I want everything to go perfectly.
When the time finally came, Halo and the other artists prepared to take the stage. The lights went out, and the deafening sound of the crowd filled the stadium. Myndi's heart beat faster as she watched Halo and the others walk towards the stage.
— Good luck, Halo. You're going to rock. — Myndi whispered to herself. She began to look at Halo with pity and murmured quietly to herself: — I'm sorry, Calli.
The show started with a bang. Bright lights illuminated the stage, and the music resonated through the stadium, filling the air with electrifying energy. Halo, with her charismatic presence and undeniable talent, dominated the stage from the first moment. The audience was enchanted, singing along with every song and applauding frenetically. The lights pulsed to the rhythm of the music, creating a dazzling visual spectacle.
As Halo performed, Myndi couldn't take her eyes off her. She remembered when she first met Halo, a young, talented, and determined woman seeking a chance to show the world her talent. Now, she was there, in front of a crowd of a million people, living her dream. Myndi's pride was immense, but the sadness in her heart continued to grow.
In the middle of the show, something unexpected happened. All the artists on stage began to feel intense pain. Halo, at the center of the stage, stopped singing abruptly, clutching her stomach. Within seconds, she started vomiting blood, collapsing to her knees while the crowd watched in shock. Halo's face began to feel strange, as if it were burning. In a matter of seconds, her skin started to transform, taking on the characteristics of a tiger and a falcon. Sharp claws emerged from her hands, and feathers began to sprout from her arms.
The other artists on stage also began to transform into hybrid creatures, each taking on characteristics of different animals. The crowd panicked, screaming and running in all directions as the transformed artists descended from the stage and began attacking the audience. Chaos quickly ensued, and the sound of terrified screams echoed through the stadium.
Myndi watched in horror as the chaos unfolded before her eyes. Then, she and her team began to run. The young artist, now a fierce creature, no longer recognized anyone. Halo let out a deafening roar and lunged at the crowd, attacking indiscriminately.
The stadium, which moments before was full of joy and anticipation, was now a scene of terror. People ran desperately, trying to escape from the creatures that were once their idols. Rain began to fall, and now, in that vast stadium, blood and suffering mixed with God's tears, as if the very sky wept for the tragedy unfolding.
Why did Myndi do this and throw all her dreams away? What did the president talk to her about after that day?
