The Gods & Marines!

-Month 3 of 4, August 20th, 2024-

(Meanwhile in Manhattan, New York in the United States of America rests the Global Government along with the Nine Gods at a nearby conference while introducing Nine of the U.S Marines finest warriors as well. Unfortunately knowing the current circumstances, two of the Gods were absent and one was killed...)

"Izushima Yumori (Age: 21 | 9th God of Combat | Nickname: Martial Princess) (Thinking): It must be serious for calling even the Marines... What are these guys doing here?"
"Scott L. Sawyer (Age: 40 | U.S Marines Corporal | Nickname: Sky Emperor): If it's a battle related to the skies, leave it to me!"

(Skipping over the former 8th and 7th Gods, Herok and Turunko Shinoko also known as the Shinoko Brothers, Herok's status known as Deceased and Turunko no longer able to continue fighting and therefore, was forced to retire and vacate his 7th Seat.)

"Ikegi Ameze (Age: 31 | 7th God of Combat | Nickname: Justice): Whatever the threat is, we'll be able to crush and sentence it to Justice!"
"Rose Wilder (Age: 25 | U.S Marines First Sergeant | Nickname: Wild Woman): ..."
"Mugane Yana (Age: 48 | 6th God of Combat | Nickname: Jackhammer) (Thinking): It appears Number 5's not showing up. The hell could he be doing...?"
"Andrew Guerra (Age: 63 | U.S Marines Master Sergeant | Nickname: Major Rouge): Hmm..."

(With an empty seat next to Mugane, it was the seat of Michael Ackerman, the new 5th God of Combat whom was deemed absent due to personal reasonings.)

"Karla Pearce (Age: 29 | U.S Marines First Sergeant | Nickname: Lioness): Quite the less expected visitors, not a good sign for the Nine so far."
"Samai Hinakito (Age: 24 | 4th God of Combat | Nickname: Combat Empress): Not a good sign? Hmph. You must think too highly of yourselves then, you're all unaware of what's happened to the Gods during your free time in America."
"Dallas Ayers (Age: 50 | U.S Marines Master Gunnery Sergeant | Nickname: Gunslinger): ...Nobody looks enthusiastic to see each other, why's that?"
"Pandoni Omma (Age: 40 | 3rd God of Combat | Nickname: Pope): I have no reason to put a smile on my face while I see these ignorant chumps in our headquarters."

"Kataude (Age: ??? | 1st God of Combat | Nickname: Tyr): We shall find that out eventually."

(With a door then opening to silence the conversations, it was revealed to have been Michael Ackerman along with his new disciple, Senri Nakamura arriving as well.)

"Samai: Hmph. About time, Ackerman. What took you so long?"
"Michael Ackerman (Age: 18 | 5th God of Combat | Nickname: Raging Bull): None of your business, I had to take care of some business."
"Pandoni: Ay, who's the little one with you?"
"Mike: This is Senri Nakamura. She's my disciple and will be accompanying us in this meeting."
"Senri: ..."

(Senri was then speechless for she was coated head to toe by a cloak she bought on her own to hide herself away before the door was then opened once again to the Global Government's Leader arriving at last to the room.)

"Allen R. Goodman (Global Government Leader & Chairman Of The G.F.R): Good evening everyone, apologies on me being late... As you all know, I am Allen Goodman, the leader among the Global Government and the Chairman of the Global Fighter Ranking Board. Lets get right down to business..."

(With the door then closed and the room was under lockdown until the meeting was over.)

"Allen: Within the past recent years of the Global Rankings System, we've monitored fighters from all over the world and have indicated their official ranking. However as of late, the public has become more and more aware of the hidden truth behind the ranking system above the 10th Rank. The Nine Gods of Combat on the left side of the table have all been given the one task of maintaining order across the country, be it in halting wars, defeating genocidal leaders or even rouge Superhumans. The release of the existence of the Nine Gods would be a vital hit on our foundation as a government, leading to exposable information future enemies may use to attack the Global Government. It is imperative that all information of the Global Government be kept confidential at all times, no matter our allies and/or groups. Now, onto the second reason why I've called you all here."

(With the table they all stand at immediately turning into a holodeck, a table built with a holographic system begins to showcase multiple of known warriors throughout the world, but only 5 notable and dangerous names.)

"Allen: As you all can see here, these are some of these most versatile fighters on Earth. Gera Alesnaro or known by his nickname "The Dragon" and Pascal Bernhard, also known as "The General", these two are prime examples of powerful human forces."
"Scott: Sir, I know you're introducing these guys and all to us, but is there even a threat that's good enough to even scare us?"
"Mike: If you were patient enough instead of yapping your mouth Sawyer, that could've been something he was going to tell us next."
"Scott: WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"

(With Allen then hesitating to say the words, he would then clench his hands onto the table and say it while feeling immense sickness in his stomach.)

"Allen: ...There's been a rumor circulating that The Oni is returning to the world of fighters."

(Shocking the Nine Gods except Mike and the Marines, they now believed why they were called.)

"Samai: The Oni...?"
"Dryomov: ...Tch. Of all the damn threats we had over the years, he decides to pop back into the world?"
"Mike: ...The Oni? This might be offending, but... Who is he?"

(With a silent stare at Mike as if they were offended by what he said, Kataude would then stand up and tell Mike himself.)

"Kataude: ...The Oni. Is the cause to how I lost my right arm."
"Mike: ...!"
"Rose: ...The Oni is known as one of the strongest Martial Artists in the world. And the very fact people lives on this world with someone as frightening as The Oni is enough to give children nightmares until they're no longer adolescents."
"Sheldon: That's not even all. There are thousands of recorded match records where The Oni has never lost a Martial Arts battle. Compared to any other martial artist, street brawler, boxer or any fighter of any style, no one would stand a chance."
"Mike: What about The Dragon Warrior?"
"Allen: That is out of the question. While Xin Sui is a very powerful enemy and a major threat to the Gods, there is a sole reason to why those two Martial Artists must never engage one another in a fight."
"Kataude: The surrounding cities would be leveled... Especially by The Oni's unmatchable strength. Compared to The Dragon Warrior, The Oni doesn't need an Awakening alike a Superhuman. Because this is a biological human, with the strength and speed of something far deadlier than The Dragon Warrior could ever muster."
"Mike: Is he really that powerful...?"
"Everyone: ...Yes."

(With Kataude then sitting down, Senri hearing all of this information would actually be shaking in her shoes as the meeting continued.)

"Allen: With this rumor eventually on the horizon, there are also more individuals whom you will have to keep eyes on indefinitely... His name is Renzo Akikatsu."
"Mike: ...?!"
"Allen: Renzo Akikatsu, or known by his nickname.. "Death". Has been deemed a Superhuman by the Global Government and under Superhuman Regulation-"
"Mike: Hold your fucking horses, Goodman. Renzo's a good friend of mine and if you even dare attempt to attack him... This entire Government will be going down by MY HAND!"
"???: As usual, you're a pissant, boy."

(With a side door then opening on the right, walking into the locked down room was Michael's father and former U.S Marine Captain, Richard H. Ackerman.)

"Mike: ..YOU!"
"Richard H. Ackerman (Age: 54 | Former U.S Marine Captain): You watch your tone around me boy, I may have given you freedom but I'll be damned if you're gonna be a rebel under my eye. And if there's a regulation that must be followed, we're sure as hell going to follow it. It's our JOB."
"Mike: Tch, why the hell is he even here?"
"Allen: Ladies and Gentlemen, now the main reason to me calling you all here... Richard Ackerman here, will be joining the Global Government as of today as the new 8th God of Combat."

(With Mike being told this news, he would then stare at his father with disgust before sighing as he wished for the meeting to then be over. With the meeting wrapping up an hour later, what was transpired is the information on a unknown crime organization targeting young fighters, Renzo Akikatsu and his official Superhumanity, the rumor of The Oni returning to the fighting world and many more. With Mike leaving the headquarters with Senri, he was then halted by his father.)

"Richard: Hold it."
"Mike: ...I have nothing to say to you, old man."
"Richard: We may not talk, but whenever I am around, you will respect me. I just wanted to tell you, you're doing the right thing by joining the Government, son. I've never tolerated rebels and I will never respect one. I respect those who wish to become the long arm of the law. You and your disciple there managed to make me proud. Keep it up..."

(As Richard then departs, Mike would then leave with Senri, Mike would also then remember why the Marines would be stationed in certain countries during the meeting.)

-20 Minutes Ago-

"Allen: And last order of business, these Nine Marines will be stationed in different countries in hopes of countering Xin before he could attack his next school and/or major target..."

-Now-

"Mike: Of all people to take that damn spot, it had to be my damn father? Tch... Whatever. This Oni guy however... he's very dangerous it seems. I'll have to do my research on him before we venture to China...."
