Chapter 1:
The Death God's Otherworldly Adventure
The story begins with Thanatos taking a sip of his tea, savoring the quiet solitude. But peace was fleeting.
“There’s nothing for me to do here!” Thanatos’s voice echoed through the chamber as he glared at his butler. “I thought being a death god meant instilling fear and claiming lives. Now, these damned humans are too smart for their own good! They’ve practically avoided death altogether. I knew the god of knowledge should never have given them this much wisdom.”
Augustian, the death butler, bowed his head slightly. “Sire, I understand your frustration. But you must still fulfill your duties diligently, not waste away reading manga and drinking tea.”
Thanatos sighed, sinking back into his chair. “I know, but human entertainment is truly something. They fear death gods in their stories, but not me. And these recent isekai mangas are just so captivating.”
“If you’re so enamored with them and bored with your current state, have you considered creating another world yourself?” Augustian suggested.
Thanatos’s eyes widened. “What are you saying, Augustian... wait, you’re a genius! If this world is too advanced, I’ll create a new one, just like those isekai mangas. Why haven’t the other gods thought of this sooner? I need to call Thesis.”
In a flash, Thesis, the Supreme Goddess of Creation, appeared, her expression annoyed. “Thanatos, how many times must I tell you not to bother me? I was admiring human creativity.”
Thanatos smirked. “Oh, you’re going to love my idea. I want to create a new planet like Earth, but with magic.”
Thesis sighed. “You know magic is fictional, right? It’s all human-made, and they are not gods.”
“True, but we are. What’s stopping us from making magic real? Come on, you must be bored too. It’s been eons since you created the universe. Don’t you feel your creativity ticking away?”
Thesis’s eyes sparked with determination. “You know what, it’s been ages since I made anything. Let’s teach you to never underestimate a Goddess of Creation.”
