Unpleasant Night

Alicia after she walked out of her room, immediately closed the door, placed a lock and alarm spell on the door, then re-apply the barrier cover her entire room, looking around and casting life signal and mana detection spells as weakly and trying to make natural as much as possible so that others can’t detect the spell to check her surroundings if there any maid, butler or other entities nearby.

“Milady, the madam has invited you to have dinner tonight with her in the main mansion, we have already prepared the carriage waiting for Milady outside.”

‘Dinner, you said? So it did reach her after all.

“Why have you only informed me just now, If I were to head toward the main mansion right now, won’t I be late for dinner by the time I reached there?”

“You don’t need to worry about it Milady, Madam has already informed me that she will delay the dinner until you reach the main mansion.”

Alicia grinds her teeth in frustration. At coachman incompetence and foolish response.

“Shut your dirty mouth and do not come out from behind the carriage!”

Alicia used a telekinesis spell grabbed the coachman's throat and threw him toward the back of the carriage.

“Gasp* w-what are you doing Arghh!!”

Alicia recites the attack spell in her mind, preparing to unleash it the moment the bandit enters her range.

Not before long the bandits with menacing grins on their faces slowly approached the carriage with weapons drawn in their hands.

Alicia's face scowls in disgust feels there is no need to wait any longer, and immediately casts the spell she has been preparing for a while now.

“Die in agony, regret that you ever born into this world you worthless pest, Inferno Geyser!!”

The earthquake hit the entire area, the ground shaking rapidly in less than 1 second after she cast the spell, a large amount of inferno erupted from the ground rushing toward the sky and becoming a pillar of agonizing death for those standing on top of it. Alicia, dodged the bandit's axe swing and easily slipped to the side, coated her dagger with the wind to increase its range turned it into a clear wind sword, overlay it with fire mana turned the wind blade into a blazing storm hovered around her dagger, she did all that in less than sec.

Alicia swung her sword as she passed by the bandit, and cleaved both bandit arms simultaneously.

Before the bandit even noticed that his arm had been cut.

Alicia passed by the bandit's side and got into his back, she immediately spun her body and lowered herself to swing her sword toward the bandit's legs, it bypassed the bandit's leather armor easily like cutting through tofu.

“G-gaaaAHHHHHHHHHH!!”

She kicked the bandit back, causing him to smash toward the ground before he came to his senses from sharp pain.

“G-gaHAKkK!!”

Alicia pressed down her leg crushing Bandit's back, stabbed her sword cut his ear off, with the sensation of burning pain pressed against his face, causing the bandit to scream in pain.

“AHHHHHHHHH!!”

“Shut your mouth right now, You won’t die from blood loss, since I burned all the wounds I cut, From now on, Only answer my question unless you want to die in pain.”

Bandit doesn't seem to listen still screaming loudly, So Alicia presses her sword against his face harder in response.

“I-I will talk, P-please spare me!!”

“Good, Now answer me, who the one ordered you to attack me?”

“I-I don’t know! Someone wearing butler cloth commissioned us to attack a passerby carriage that will be passed through the road, he said we can do whatever we want afterward!”

‘Butler…Step-mother. It seems she does not even bother to try to hide the fact she is trying to kill me any longer.

The coachman who should have stayed behind the carriage has already run away from the scene and can be found around 300 meters away from here.

With that, the only human life signal she detected from her detection spell is gone.

Alicia looked toward her carriage, although it didn't suffer any damage, with the coachman gone, she had no choice but to take rein herself.

Alicia can’t help but sigh at her situation.
