Chapter 2:

Chapter 2

Is it Silver Or Is it Love?

-Him

Unbelievable

She’s a werewolf.

She changes into a wolf whenever there’s a full-circle moon. From what I know, werewolves avoid silver because it hurts them. No wonder she didn’t buy any of my silver since she can’t touch it. She can’t. She really can’t. Despite the sudden reveal that I came across a mythical creature, all my head is wrapped into is the fact she said:

“I love your silver.”

It feels like she opened a Pandora’s box inside me with those mere words. Even more unbelievable is that I said something I wish I could get myself swallowed whole by the earthy ground. Which is:

“ I’ll be your Silver. The only silver you can and will have forever.”

Dear Lord, it sounded like a confession.

No…

It sounded more like a proposal.

A cheesy, cringy, and sappy proposal

I may agonize over my words. I may have screamed internally whenever that cringy confession slash proposal popped into my head many times. I may have punched the empty air countless times just thinking about it. Nevertheless, I didn’t regret any of it.

This werewolf,

This girl,

This person,

Has been on my mind for many days and she clawed her way right into my heart. Her mesmerizing eyes have me whipped for her ever since I locked eyes with it. Back then, when I only thought she disliked my silver finery and my pride wouldn’t let me have her way by not buying anything, my goal to make her appreciate my silver works started straying off course from then on.
It led to my heart being captivated.

It felt like my heart only beat for her.

Only her…

So, yes. I don’t regret the words I’ve said. That confession slash proposal may be sudden but it came from my sincere heart. Her being a werewolf doesn’t make her less of a person and I don’t ever think less of her after finding out the truth. That night when she changed into a wolf. All I ever thought about was that she was so beautiful that I think my heart stopped for a moment.

But wait…

After my confession or somewhat proposal, did I ever get an answer from her?

***
 -Her

He knows.
He wasn’t supposed to know.
He found out about it.

He shouldn’t have…

About the whole truth

Me being a werewolf

I mean, what else was supposed to be said when he already saw my wolf form? It took me three days to go back to human form. That night when I transformed into a wolf, I left around midnight while the streets were dark and empty. My full moon–I mean, ‘Aggy’ wouldn’t let me go at first but I insisted anyway. He only let me go on one condition: that I give him my phone number.

And so, here I am, sitting on a sofa while staring at my phone on the coffee table.
Waiting for a call,
A text,
Anything
I’m waiting for him

Argentiño Silver

My full moon, the only silver I could touch, love, and cherish exactly as what he said last time. That scene kept replaying in my mind and heart non-stop. If anything, that was the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. Of course, such honey-dripped words deserve something, anything.

I think I said something after he said that he would be my silver.

My stars! I didn’t say anything after that besides insisting to go home and just gave out my phone number to him. Why did I think of so many words to say and didn’t bother to actually tell him?!

Suddenly, I heard my phone buzzing a few times on the coffee table. I frantically took my phone and checked my messages. I hope it’s him.

Oh…

These messages were from Mrs. Osborne, the sweet old lady who’s my client. She was asking if I enjoyed the early dinner she prepared three days ago. Her lovely golden retriever, Patty, is so adorable.

I should give Mrs. Osborne a call. A text seems too dry. Then, my phone is suddenly buzzing again non-stop. An incoming call

That must be Mrs. Osborne

I immediately answered the call. “Hello! Yes, I really enjoyed the dinner you've prepared. Thank you very much for-

“Someone already took you to dinner?”

I got cut off.

That wasn’t Mrs. Osborne.

Definitely not the voice of my client.

It was a man.

In fact…

“Amiella Moon?”

He called my name and I thought time stopped

“Argentiño Silver?” I said his name as a reply

And his next words had me squirming-

“Your one and only silver.”
