Chapter 3:
Is it Silver Or Is it Love?
-Him
“Your one and only silver.”
I swear to God, someone must be possessing me because words suddenly got blurted out of my mouth. I gathered up the courage to call her.
Her
Amiella Moon
God, even her name is so beautiful. What should I do? I feel like my heart is about to burst out of my chest just from hearing her saying my name earlier. Then, there’s this long silence. Did she hang up on me? Should I say something? What should I say? What shouldn’t I say?
“Di-dinner! Let me take yo-you out fo-or dinner.” I hear her stutter from the other end of the call. She’s so cute! Dear Lord, can she get any cuter than this?
“Sure, but I didn’t do anything to deserve this invite.” Besides, wouldn’t the guy who took her to dinner days ago be mad? I wouldn’t want to ruin a relationship.
“Nonsense! If it wasn’t for you, I would be in the news at this moment as everyone would have discovered I’m a werewolf.” I smiled at her words. I could listen to her voice all day and I wouldn’t get sick of it.
“Okay, meet me tomorrow?” I hope I sounded cool and collected but down inside, I’m such a hot mess. My thoughts are all over the place yet the main center is this girl with mesmerizing eyes.
“Ye-yes. I’ll text you the details.”
“Bye-bye.” I already regretted saying goodbye. I still want to talk to her more. No worries, I can still talk to her tomorrow.
“Awww, you have to go?” It sounded like she was pouting and it was so cute!
“Do you want me to?” What did I just say? Am I out of my mind?
“Don’t go.” Her voice was soft but I clearly heard her. Crystal clear
“Stay with me.” As she said those words to me, hundreds of butterflies fluttered inside my stomach.
Just like that, we’ve talked for hours. It feels nice. Talking to someone other than my customers feels so pleasant. It felt like I had a genuine connection with someone.
A click,
A spark,
A bond,
It’s a feeling that makes me want to cherish this person and never let her go. A feeling that this person may change something in me forever. Or maybe, the desire to know her more has me dancing on her palms from the start. Nevertheless, I’m happy that I met her.

-Her
I’m late.
I overslept.
Aggy must be there by now. Oh, my stars! I should have woken up but my alarm didn’t set off when it should be. Hence, I’m late to my date. Is it a date? We’ve talked pretty much all day yesterday but I didn’t get to ask if what we’re doing now is a date. Oh, whatever! I need to run faster.
“I thought you stood me up.” My full moon, Aggy, said as he gave me a bottle of water. I sprinted to our meeting place like my life depended on it. He’s so thoughtful to have given me a water bottle so I gladly accepted it and said my thanks. While I was drinking, I noticed something about him.
“What is it?” Ooop, did I stare too much? I must be obvious.
“You took off your earrings.” The whole time since I’ve met him. He always wore cross-shaped earrings. But now, he took them off
“Oh, that? That was my grandfather’s keepsake.” Then it must be very important to him.
“Then, why did you take it off? It’s important to you, is it not?”
“I took it off because it’s made of silver. As much as possible, I don’t want to harm you and I think my grandfather would be alright with it too.”
I crushed the water bottle in my hands as if I wanted to crush the buzzing feeling on my chest.
“Shall we start our date?” Wait, what? Then, I realized we were thinking the same thing: if it’s a date or not? Seeing that he sheepishly scratched his cheek, he must be nervous as well. Suddenly, it felt like we were the only people in the world. Just him and I.
Argentiño Silver, what am I going to do with you?
