Chapter 5:

Eileen Hawkeen: Harpy in The Skin of A Human

Harpy x Harpie: Switcharoo

"What the...? Where am I?"

I blankly stared at the room I was in for a straight five minutes because I was amazed at how polished it looked. My room never looked this polished. I mean, they made out of wood.

"Is this... how a human's room looks like?"
I heard thumping coming towards this room. The door opened, and a little girl about 13 to 15 years old with brown twin-tail hair and a green fabric in her body that had black dot motives came in.

"Blab blah bab bama?" (What happened? What was that thud?)
Eh? What did she say?
"Oh blab ma dama ba daham!" (Oi, don't just stare at me, answer the question, big bro!)
I don't quite get what she was saying.
"Blah blu blaa bli ba." (Still in dream world, huh.)
"Sorry, but I can't understand what you just said", I tried to reply, but it seemed she didn't understand it either.
"Hee? Blub bam moo yapping was blah ba." (Eh? You suddenly gwakking, weird.)
Huh? She understands a bit of bird language.
"Ehh, little girl, sorry for the request but..."
"Wuwa, blah bub yapping da ba du blah." (Wow, stop coming close and gwakking at me.)
"Little girl, I..."
"KYAAAAA, mama! Blab ba ma blah ba. Harpie bala yapping bal la la!" (Kyaaa, mama! Harpie is acting very weird. He stared at me and gwakking for no reason.)

I was still so baffled by this event that I kept spacing out; I was just so shocked. I heard more footsteps coming. I was scared, so I closed the door and locked it. Thank goodness the lock mechanic of the human world and my world is the same.

"Harpie, na ma blah bab ba ma na?" (Harpie, are you okay, son?)
Damn! I still don't understand what they're saying. This is not good.
"Ra blah bab bla ba bama!" (Answer me, mister. I'll break in there if you don't answer.)
I'm just gonna wing it and try to say what they say, please be right.
"BAB MA WA BLAH!" (I have cooties)
Please! Please be right!
"Blab bab ma da ma." (What in the...?)
"Mama, bab mi buda da m blah." (Mama, let's just leave him alone now. He clearly in utter shock, I think anyway.)
"Bluh ba bada ma, nima ma." (I hope you're right, dear.)

I heard the footsteps go away, and after I didn't hear any other footsteps, I relieved myself. I stood up and scanned my surroundings properly. There were a lot of things that I had never seen, others I've seen with different look and the rest looked familiar.

Hmm, human language, huh? Maybe I should learn it before encountering them again. But how to do that? I don't even know how to start.
With this thought in mind, I started by piling up some books that were scattered around the rooms and organizing them by what interested me the most.
"Alright, let's get started. With these, maybe I can understand a little bit about human language."
When I wanted to pick up one of the books, I stopped myself and looked at my hands thoroughly.
"Hmm, that's right. I never actually look at myself, yet. Should I try to find a mirror? Maybe I can be sure of who I am so that I don't do something rash."

I braved myself to unlock the door and looked outside the room. I saw the interior of this house, and it is magnificent. There are a lot of photos throughout the hall of this floor. I never knew that humans have this artistic sense toward interior art. After a little admiration, I went to every single door that I could see and finally found the washroom at the end of the hallway.

"Dang, that was a scare and a half just going through the hall."
After finishing that sentence, I spooked myself seeing my reflection in the mirror. Never in a million years did I think I would be inside a man's body. I almost passed out, but I stood strong.
"What... The... Fuck..."
I tried to calm and compose myself. I witnessed a life-changing moment here!
Without any feels of remorse, I opened this person's fabric below his hips and saw "IT", "No fucking way, I actually have it."

I didn't want to deal with it right now, so I quickly closed it and went back to this person's room. As I entered back, I contemplated whether or not to continue as this person's life and said, "I wonder how my mom is back at home."

"NO! I need to get back! I have to understand this language to adapt to the surroundings because if I don't... If I don't.... I might get... into trouble, and no one could save me."
Oh, I wish I had never rebelled and run away from that cave. That was probably the trigger of when I exchanged bodies with this person.

I tried to put these thoughts behind and focused on learning this new lifestyle that I would be facing. When I read some of the book, I had never thought that our language has some similarity. It's kind of uncanny in a way because I know for a fact that we spell this word differently, like phrasing, grammar, and word order are different, but the alphabets are the same.

"But wait, didn't that girl say that I was... Yapping? What was that all about?"
I searched the word yapping on this technology called the phone, and I discovered that the word Yapping in the human language is called gwakking.
"Gwak... king? Like birds? I mean, I am technically a bird of some sort. But that's how humans saw our language. Gwakking?"

I searched even further for this language phenomenon thing. This searching made it clear that I was in what people call, The Rabbit Hole, and I was amazed. Everything I have learned so far is so fascinating to learn until I realized what I was saying back when I was blocking the door.
"Did... did I just say, I HAVE COOOCTIESSSSS????"
