Lucky starts, tragic ends.

It was a beautiful day, Mizuki moved her hand towards her face as she stared at the sun.

“It’s so bright and…” her voice trailed off. “Dreamy.”

“Mizuki!”

Mizuki moved her hand down, noticing the voice calling her name.

“Hello? Who’s there?”

“Mizuki, it’s me Hana!”

“Oh, good morning, Hana!”

As the bell rang, the two girls made their way to class. Mizuki was excited, she thought that, finally, she would have a good day.

“Mizuki! Come on, let’s go!” Hana grabbed Mizuki by the arm and dragged her towards the school.

“Hey, wait!”

“Hmph!”

Despite Mizuki’s pleas, Hana continued to drag her down the hall. It took awhile, but they eventually made it to class. Hana turned the handle, hearing the familiar creak of the door.

“You're late.” Mrs Ringo muttered.

“I’d be surprised if you were kind for once…" Mizuki thought, as she stared down at the classroom floor.

“Mizuki are you alright?” Hana whispered to her.

Mizuki turned away from her and ran out the classroom door. Leaving them with tears flooding through her eyes.

“MIZUKI!”

As Mizuki ran, she could the screams of Hana calling out to her, but she didn’t listen. She couldn’t go back, she couldn’t!

“Sorry, Hana. I’m sorry.”

Soon after, Mizuki Gekkou disappeared into the darkness.
