Episode 5

“This has to be a joke.” Ayumi mumbled to herself as she stared in one direction. Her eyes fixed on the person who was busy entertaining a flock of girls hovering at him. Then Ayumi remembered Veena’s words: ‘Since you know him and are lucky enough to be classmates, you go recruit him. The fate of the club lies in your hands, Ayumi!’ Then Veena bolted out to her classroom leaving Ayumi speechless.

“‘Lucky enough?’ Ha! More like rotten luck.” Ayumi said as she began thinking about what to do next, still couldn’t accept the fact that Bleex Edward was on the list. As she was lost in her thoughts, someone poked her cheek which surprised her, making her alert.

“Hey? Are you okay?” Ayumi looked at the person only to find out it was Iori who had a concerned look on her face.

“Oh, I’m fine! Absolutely! Except for the fact I had to recruit that overly obnoxious flirt right over there.” Ayumi said as she pointed at Bleex’s direction

“Yeah, you’ve been staring daggers at him for a while now and it’s quite worrying. You’re so serious, your eyebrows are very furrowed.” Iori said as she mimicked Ayumi’s look a while ago, making her eyebrows furrowed.

“By the way, Where’s Jin?” Ayumi asked as she took a glimpse at Jin’s seat only to find it empty.

“I’ve been here this whole time.” Ayumi and Iori were surprised by the sudden voice behind them and it was Jin all along

“Again, could you please work on your presence? It’s getting on my nerves.” Iori said as she shot a glare at Jin. Ayumi nods in full agreement

“I’m sorry, okay? I can’t help it and besides, I’d say Ayumi is doing a good job in getting Bleex’s attention.” Jin said which got the two girls confused and curious so they checked Bleex again only to find him staring at Ayumi and winking at her

“Gross.” Ayumi said, repulsed at Bleex’s action then Bleex excused himself from the girls who were hovering over him, and to the three students’ surprise, Bleex was heading towards them.

“Here’s your chance, Ayumi. Goodluck!” Iori said, followed by Jin saying “Don’t blow it.” Which earned Iori’s stepping on his foot and dragged him away to his seat giving space to Ayumi and Bleex. Now, here comes the great problem.

“Hey, kitten. Is it me or have you been checking me out for a while now?” Bleex started and Ayumi was seconds away from vomiting, her mind kept screaming ‘Gross!Gross!Gross!’

“Call me that again and I’ll cut your tongue and no, I’m not checking you out.” Ayumi said as she formed her hand like scissors emphasizing ‘the cut your tongue’

“Woah, don’t get all defensive. If you’re not checking me out then what?” Bleex said as he flashed a smile at Ayumi, thinking she was in denial then Ayumi told him about her club and the whole reason why she was staring at him and Bleex just listened.

“So, you want me to join?” Bleex pointed at himself and Ayumi nodded slowly

“Other than you, are there any other girls in the club?” Bleex asked making Ayumi confused and her mind just said ‘Flirtatious brat’

“Sure, I’ll join.” Bleex said as Ayumi looked at him, surprised at his sudden approval. ‘Well, that was easy.’ She thought

“But on one condition.” Bleex continued and smirked at Ayumi

“Condition?” Ayumi replied, confused as she tilted her head to the side.

“Go on a date with me.” Bleex said which earned Ayumi’s disgusted face thinking ‘I spoke too soon, this is not easy at all.’

Now that morning classes are over, the students take their time, enjoying their lunch. Veena bought curry this time instead of a sandwich. As the cafeteria lady gave Veena’s lunch meal set on a tray, Veena said her thanks, and the cafeteria lady said “Enjoy your lunch, dear!”

“Now where is Ayumi? I wonder what happened with her and this Bleex person.” Veena said as she searched for her friend from the crowd of students seated in the cafeteria. It didn’t take a while to spot Ayumi since she was giving off some deadly aura, practically scaring off the people around her making her the odd one out from the spot.

“Sheesh. It’s not going well, huh.” Veena assumed based on Ayumi’s expression on her face as she approached her best friend and sat across from her. Ayumi doesn’t seem to notice Veena since her mind is still busy thinking of someone or better yet, planning a murder. That is why Veena knocked the table repeatedly, surprising Ayumi who finally snapped out of her thinking.

“Hey? Can you ease down your face? You’re scaring everyone around you.” Veena said as she pointed out the students who were trembling in fear, not used to their favorite senior, giving out death glares.

“Sorry about that. It’s just that Arrrggghhhh---” Ayumi couldn’t finish her sentence, feeling so frustrated at someone. She stabbed her chicken cutlet with a fork; imagining she was stabbing someone to make her feel better. While the two girls started eating their lunch, two students approached them and one of the students said “Hello Veena! Can we join you two for lunch?”

As Veena heard this, she recognized it was Shion and Angi who were both holding their bento boxes.

“Come and sit! There’s enough space for the four of us.” Veena said as she gestured for the two girls to sit at their table then the four girls continued eating their lunch as silence came over

“So…” Angi decided to break the silence, still hesitating to continue what she was going to say

“Hm? Go on, what is it?” Ayumi said as she took another spoonful of her lunch

“What happened? You seem stressed out lately.” Angi worked up the courage to ask this despite the deadly aura that Ayumi was giving out. As Ayumi heard this, she was reminded of what happened before morning class started. The thought made her stab her last chicken cutlet aggressively, making the rest of the three girls flinch in fear.

“Listen to this.” Ayumi started her explanation

-Flashback-

“What did you just say?” Ayumi asked Bleex to repeat what the said condition was.

“Go on a date with me.” Bleex said as he gave out a smirk and Ayumi scoffed in disbelief. ‘Crazy flirt’ is what she thought

Ayumi doesn’t even need to think this over. Her reply to decline is set in stone but then Bleex continued talking

“It doesn’t have to be you. You said there are other girls in the club, right? Pick any of those girls as a representative and-“ Bleex got cut off as Ayumi firmly said “Fine. Let’s go on a date.” ‘As the president of this club, I need to take responsibility and besides, I don’t want to drag the girls with this crazy flirt.’ Ayumi thought

“Great. I’ll text you the details. See you then.” Bleex said as he winked at Ayumi one last time giving Ayumi the chills and goosebumps then he took his leave, taking a seat, now that the teacher came and morning classes started.

-End of Flashback-

“Wow! That’s our president, I’m touched.” Veena said as she kept on clapping, still baffled at the situation Ayumi got herself in. Shion and Angi clap along with her

“You better be touched. I feel like a sacrifice.” Ayumi said as she rubbed her temples, so stressed out at what was happening

“Yeah, because you are a sacrifice.” Angi said as she took a sip from her drink and Veena and Shion nodded in full agreement.

“You’re late, kitten.” Bleex has his arms crossed as Ayumi takes her time to catch her breath, tired from all the running just to make it in time. She couldn’t take a good night’s rest because of a certain crazy flirt which took a toll on her body and made her wake up late.

“I thought you stood me up. Fortunately, that wasn’t the case.” Bleex smirked as he handed a water bottle to Ayumi which she took and drank it.

‘How I wish I could just ditch you.’ Ayumi thought as she drank until the last drop.

“So kitten-“ *Crunch* Bleex couldn’t finish what he was saying because Ayumi crushed the water bottle in her hands and tossed it into the bin

“I thought I already told you NOT to call me that?” Ayumi gave a murderous smile and Bleex cowered in fear and tried to calm her down saying “Sheesh, alright…Chill. Let’s hurry or else the line will get longer.”

“Line?” Ayumi asked as she tilted her head in confusion

“I thought we were just going to walk around the place and have lunch together?” Ayumi raised her one eyebrow, confused at Bleex who was walking towards the direction of-?!

“Oh C’mon! I know you’re just going to have an upset stomach if we sit and eat together. Follow me! Let’s have fun in the Amusement Park.” Bleex flashed a smile at Ayumi and she thought ‘Huh, for once, he actually gave out a genuine smile. Not the flirtatious one’ Then the two classmates hurried to the Amusement Park and enjoyed different kinds of rides.

Right off the bat, Ayumi excitedly chose the Roller Coaster which made Bleex dizzy after several tries then the two classmates took a short break on a nearby bench

“You’re surprisingly weak at this.” This time, Ayumi handed out a water bottle to Bleex

“Weak? You’re just insanely good at this! I mean who doesn’t get dizzy from riding the roller coaster for about seven times in a row?” Bleex said as he drank from the water bottle

“Me. Of course” Ayumi let out a chuckle

-Somewhere not far from the distance of Bleex and Ayumi-

“Hey! Why in the holy f*ck am I wasting my precious weekend on this?” Ze said as he watched over Ayumi and Bleex from his spot

“C’mon! Consider it a club activity! Besides, our president is doing her best to convince this ‘crazy flirt’” Veena said as she took a bite from the Churros she bought from a nearby stall

“Seems like she’s already having fun and forgot about the whole deal.” Shion said as she shrugged and Ange was busy looking at which ride to take next

“Wait! Where are Eru and Shin? Didn’t all six of us agree to spy on Ayumi?” Ange said as she realized Eru and Shin were not in sight

“Dunno, maybe they’re on a date since we are already here and all.” Veena said as Shion and Ange blushed from the thought

“Tsk, I hope they’ll explode.” Ze clicked his tongue
