When Itsuko came to, she felt no fear, worry, anger, or sadness. She only felt warmth and peace. What just occurred completely vanished from her mind. Above her was darkness illuminated by a yellow glow. She sat up and looked around.

 To her left, there was pitch black, however, on her right was a huge area of yellow light, She then saw a half circle of people who’s faces and body details were hidden by the yellow that illuminated them. Itsuko could clearly see big smiles on their faces.

“Welcome.” one of the people said.

“It’s so good to see you.” another said

“It’s nice to finally meet you!” another said.

“I’ve missed you so much.” another said.

“Who are they welcoming?” Itsuko asked.

Just then, a person rose up in front of the half circle. She appeared to be about age sixteen. She slowly stood up. She wore a white dress with long wide sleeves that went to her knees.

“It’s so good to see all of you!” the girl said cheerfully.

“That voice, that’s Mayuri.” Itsuko remarked. Even though she would be shocked at this revelation, this place she is in was not allowing her to express it. All of Itsuko’s emotions were being blocked as if she was wrapped in he warmest, most comfortable blanket.

“Mayuri.” Itsuko said as loud as she could in her state. the girl looked back to locate the source of the voice. Seeing Itsuko, her eyes lit with excitement, she gave a warm smile and extended her hand.

“I hope you and Kurisu can join us soon.” she said. Just at that moment, familiar hands pulled Itsuko into the darkness behind her.

Itsuko couldn’t resist this time.
