"... In the beginning were four Stones.
They floated in the nothingness, for times, and half a time.
One by one, each Stone met a Dragon. Bearing them up, the Dragons took them on their flight, the perfection of their Cairns so closely in reach.
Fate dictated that they should meet, and their nature decreed their greed. Each Stone was the object of the other's deepest desire, but greater still was their avarice for their own. With fire and fervour the Dragons met, each Stone flung from their backs in the fray. Two Stones were shattered together. The fine fragments inspired the rage of the Dragon's fires that burned with eternal heat. The two others, intact, were set alight. So the Suns were born. A Dragon, enraged, flicked his tail. One Sun remained, and the other was flung far for a time, to return for half a time.
The fragments were scattered. Some caught in the Dragons' fire, setting the stars in the night sky. Others came together, surrounding the first Sun. The largest of these fragments became our Petra, the others, her moons.
Sparks flew from the first Sun, landing on Petra. Some became Dragons, some Fae, others Animals, and yet others became the People. The Dragons became like the ancients who shattered the stones: slaves to rage, and avatars of avarice.
The Four Ancient Wings still circle our world. From them proceed the Winds of North, South, East, and West. These Winds are by which their whims are carried, and by which the People live and die."
