Chapter 3:

Chapter 3: Anna and Mallory

Soldier Clasess

The next morning Mallory was ready for another a̶w̶f̶u̶l̶ fun day at school.
She bathed, brushed her teeth, got on her clothes, ate breakfast, and grabbed all of her stuff for school.
But before she left she told her mom goodbye and then left for the bus.
While she was on the bus she listened to her favorite artist Heart Shine's music and was looking on her favorite social media site to use Twitter to find her cool tweets on her timeline as well as the latest news on what she likes.
But despite everything she couldn't stop thinking about how she misses her father even though he's been no longer alive since she was in Kindergarten. Prior to her father's death she was a really happy girl who's smile cheers people up, but after he heard that her father died everything changed. She became a lonely and bitter person as a result of it and despite her trying to do everything that could make her happy she still couldn't get over it.
When the bus finally stopped at school she got off the bus and head to where Class 3-D was.
"Oh, so did you did come back after all." Anna had just saw Mallory walked over her, "I thought you were going to quit after how hard yesterday was for you."
"I wished." Mallory replied laughing.
"I've never seen you so happy before." Anna told her.
"I'm not I was just laughing at what you said." Mallory told Anna.
"So I should probably tell you about Class 3-D." Anna tells her, "We are called Delta 3-04 by the army. We're actually a bunch of soldiers in training, and we have a total of four Drill Sergeants in this class. You already know Drill sergeant Harvey, but there's also Drill Sergeant Yeung who always treats us like crap and teaching science and math, Drill Sergeant Gutierrez who's our Physical Training teach and always loves to make us to exercises by either push-ups, making us run and touch that flag over there." Anna points Mallory to the U.S. flag near the building, "And he also loves to making us do an exercise in which we jump like a frog."
"Damn!" Mallory cried, "I didn't know he was that bad?"
"Oh yeah and when it's lunch time (we call it "Chow") if we don't have our heels together we will have to say "my food taste better with my heels together", and if we dropped something we would have to say "I'm sorry" to whatever we dropped"
"Hey, I thought teachers aren't around watching kids during lunch." Mallory told Anna.
"Well our class is different, we have our own separate cafeteria from what's actually there for the rest of the students and the Drill Sergeants watch over us. We can't even talk or look at our phones because if we do "we're done eating"".
"Oh my God!, That's messed up!" Mallory shriek.
"I haven't even talked about Senior Drill Sergeant Griffin." Anna told her.
"What's so bad about him?" Mallory asked her."
"I mean he's a nice guy, but when you get on his bad side that's when things start to get wrong. Like if you slightly move in the position of attention we will be doing exercises for 10 straight minutes. That's how bad it is." Anna tells her.
"Deadass!" Mallory says.
"The rest of the class are pretty interesting individuals. But you'll see for yourself." Anna tells her as they enter into Class 3-D together.
Both of them went to take their seats together.
"So do you have any particular interest?" Anna asks Mallory.
"Anime and Manga." Mallory tells her.
"I love Anime too, what are your favorites." Anna tells her.
"Naruto, Undead Unluck, Chainsaw Man, Hunter x Hunter, Katekyō Hitman Reborn!, Soul Eater, Attack on Titan, Bleach, Dragon Ball, and Assassination Classroom" Mallory told her.
"I love Soul Eater and Assassination Classroom too!" Anna told her happily.
The two of them discuss their favorite characters and moments about both of these series afterwards.
"Are you guys talking about anime?" someone who overhears them saying this.
"Yes Gabe we're talking about anime, have you also considered not snoring in class like last time?" Anna askes him.
"Well class is really boring and I just can't pay attention, so what am I supposed to do?" Gabe ask Anna.
"Well, just try to at least pay attention." Anna tells Gabe, Anna goes to Mallory, "This is Gabe, he's the kid who's responsible for us doing exercises yesterday, he's pretty stupid. He was homeschooled his entire life until high school where he became an outcast, where call him "The homeschool kid" all of us have nicknames we're referred to as, like I'm considered "the fangirl" because I have many interest, do you have any by any chance?"
"No!" Mallory tells her, "But I was once referred to a "Jinx" because people considered me to be bad luck because I have never had any good luck like for example the soccer team that chose me to play for 5th grade, we lost nearly every single game and my teammates blamed me for it because I did terrible."
"Well I guess that's what you're going to be called (I guess)," Anna tells her.
"Whatever, it's not like anyone cares about me to begin with. I don't even want any friends at all." Mallory tells her.
"Mallory, you know there are people out there who care about you like your parents." Anna tells her.
"Well my dad is dead and my mom barely knows how I feel!" Mallory hissed.
"Mallory, I had no idea your dad died." Anna tells her, "I never even knew how lonely you were until you told me, how long has your father's death been affecting you?"
"He died when I was in Kindergarten, so that would make it 11 years." Mallory tells Anna. "It's been hurting me to this very day. I just can't get it over with."
"Mallory, I know what happened to you dad was unfortunate but you can't just be a grumpy person as a result of it. You know if you continue to be a grumpy person you're just going to be a miserable person in life. Do you want that?" Anna askes her.
Mallory remembered all the memories she had with her father, all the fun she, her dad and mom, and Huey used to have. Emma wasn't born at that time and was a infant when her dad died. She remembered every time her father tried to cheer her up when she was down. She really missed her father, and tears felled on her eyes and she covered both of them with her hands.
Mallory just stop couldn't thinking about her father. She just really loved her father so much and wish he was still in her life.
"I miss him.... I miss him so damn much!" Mallory cried.
"Mallory, the world isn't fair, we always don't get what we want, but sometimes we just have to let go of it. I'm not saying to forget your dad but, I think you should just not let it stop you from reaching your goals, you got that?" Anna ask.
"You're damn right." Mallory tells her wiping away the tears out of her eyes.
Both of them shook hands and waited for class to begin.
