Chapter 684: The Concerning Broadcast

Narrator: Back inside the tower.

Herbie arrives back on top floor of the tower and walks up to the broadcasting computer system.

Herbie: “I just need to figure out how this works. After that, I can send the signal to start the rebellion.”

He begins using the mouse to click on something.

Herbie: “I just need to find it in the menu.”

He clicks again which pulls up a window.

Herbie: “Aha! Here it is!”

Before Herbie can click on the broadcast system, a TV screen hanging on the wall automatically turns on, taking him by surprise.

Herbie: “What…?”

Standing front and center on screen is Ronzic. He appears to be standing on a stage in a room in his base.

Herbie: “Wait, why now!?”

Ronzic: (Speaking formally) “Friends, colleagues, and all dark divine beings, I have an announcement to make.”

Herbie: “This is some kind of worldwide broadcast. I don’t like where this is going…”

Ronzic: “If you are currently busy on a task at the moment, I ask that you stop for a moment and listen. I’d like to begin by saying how thankful I am for how hard you all have contributed to Project Sputnik. But it is now that I must announce that we will be rushing Project Sputnik to completion. As a result, not all of you will be able to come aboard. Some of you will have to stay here. My decision comes as a result of the fact that we have a heretic among us.”

Ronzic steps aside to reveal those that are behind him. Most prominently is Dusk, who is on his knees and is tied up. Madeena is also there and she stands beside the tied-up Dusk.

Herbie opens his eyes and mouth wide as he leans forward.

Herbie: (Speaking in shock) “Is that Dusk!? Did that moron get caught!? This could jeopardize the plan! I swear if he survives this, I will give him a lot of shit for this!”

Narrator: In the punishment chambers.

Sasha watches on TV hanging on the wall in the punishment chambers. She also opens her eyes wide.

Sasha: (Speaking with concern) “No…!”

Ronzic points at Dusk as he continues speaking.

Ronzic: “This heretic was trying to sabotage Project Sputnik. Such a betrayal is punishable by death. I will be performing this execution live right here very soon.”

Sasha grits her teeth with worry. She quickly starts running out of the prison area rather than listening to the rest of Ronzic’s speech.

Once she exits the prison area, she is in a stairwell and begins running up the steps to get to a higher floor. As she goes up a third floor of stairs, she encounters a male demon.

Male Demon: “Lady Sasha? What’s the hur—?”

Sasha punches the demon against the wall before he can finish his question, killing him in the process. Once she goes up a fourth floor of stairs, she enters the next door. She enters a long hallway and dashes through but she sees two dark diving beings, one male and one female, walking through. Sasha extends her arms forward with her fingers pointed like claws. The two dark divine beings stop with confused expressions but they can’t even say a word before Sasha pierces both of their chests with her hands, killing both of them. She doesn’t even stop while doing so and keeps all of her forward momentum. She quickly reaches the end of the hall and goes through another door.

She is at the top of a staircase in a large lounge room with a lot of dark divine beings and demons sitting while watching Ronzic’s speech. She immediately jumps from the top of the stairs and forms a Black Energy Ball in her hands. She throws it down at the dark divine beings and demons just as they notice her. They are unable to react before the Black Energy Ball hits the floor and explodes. The blast kills everyone in the room and destroys a large chunk of the room overall but Sasha lands past the point of destruction and keeps running. She can hear more of Ronzic’s speech as she runs by.

Ronzic: “When we leave this doomed world, we shall find salvation.”

Sasha exits the room before she hears any more of the speech. She enters another hallway that has a sharp left turn not that far from where she entered. Before she gets to that left turn, a male dark divine being turns the corner in a hurry. Before he can even process that Sasha is there, she pierces his chest with her hand to kill him. She then turns the corner and encounters three more dark diving beings.

Female Dark Divine Being: (Speaking urgently) “What’s going—!?”

Before she can even finish her sentence, Sasha pierces her chest to kill her. She then immediately does the same to the other two before they can do anything.

As Sasha runs down the hall, she can hear more of Ronzic’s speech.

Ronzic: “For those left behind, I wish you luck. Perhaps we will be able to come back for you someday. Use the slaves as you wish.”

Sasha thinks to herself as she runs into the next room which has no one in it.

Sasha: (Thinking urgently) “That’s right, just keep talking! I will be there soon and put a stop to the execution!”

Sasha enters through a door with a sign above it that says “Auditorium Hall”. As soon as she enters the doorway, she turns left and goes up a staircase instead of entering the main entrance of the auditorium.

On the stage in the auditorium, Ronzic’s speech is still ongoing.

Ronzic: “And now, for the moment that you all want to see, the execution of the heretic!”

Suddenly, the signal on the broadcast cuts out. Ronzic can see that he is no longer live.

Ronzic: (Speaking with irritation) “What happened to the broadcast!?”

Sasha jumps down from above and punches Ronzic in the face, knocking him on his back.

Sasha lands on the stage and then fully stands up, staring at Ronzic with a serious expression.

Madeena opens her eyes wide in shock.

Madeena: “Sasha!? What are you doing!?”

Ronzic sits up as he rubs his face. His angry expression soon turns to shock as he sees Sasha.

Ronzic: “Miss Sasha!? Why!?”

Sasha: (Speaking with seriousness and anger) “I am not under any spell. The light divine being known as Zeth is my husband. You are about to execute one of my friends and I will not allow that! I’m going to kill you!”

Ronzic fully stands up as he continues to be shocked by this revelation.

Ronzic: “No! What!? How!? That makes no sense!”

Sasha: “Oh, it’s no joke.”

Sasha lunges forward and begins rapidly punching Ronzic, who continues to be too shocked to fight back.

Ronzic: (Thinking in shock) A light being… is her husband!? That’s unheard of!! That’s impossible!!! I will not accept that!!!!”

Sasha lands one more powerful punch that knocks Ronzic back against a bunch of stage equipment and, finally, against a wall.

Sasha: (Speaking with ferocity) “This is only the beginning!”

Narrator: Back in the tower.

Herbie: (Speaking urgently) “Okay, this is bad! It’s time to activate the Seeds of Rebellion!”

Herbie clicks on the speaker broadcast system and shouts, “Seeds of Rebellion!”

Narrator: Sasha narrowly prevents Dusk’s execution, and now Herbigon activates the Seeds of Rebellion! It’s time to get the rebellion underway!
