9 - Dark Forces

PREVIOUSLY...

Zukafu had been beaten to death by Raimei's army of Enigmas but due to this, she murdered the Ema Enigma and allowed the rest to be killed by other Enigmas that was led by the Spider Enigma whose task was to hunt Raimei down but further realising that they had now the deceased body of Zukafu, they were planning to take him back to their leader to which Mary wouldn't allow them to do and then moments later, Luna and Naoya showed up and dealt with the Spider Enigma but were now facing a newer and much menacing threat...

BACK TO THE CURRENT STORY

Both Naoya, with Mary on his back, and Luna, with the dead body of Zukafu in her arms, continously fought the every growing swarm that were the ink-like monsters but their efforts were minimalising as they were growing tired and tired from each movement and attacks they unleashed.

"Its no use!" Exclaimed Luna, "They just keep coming!"

Naoya then commented "We have to buy ourselves a little more time!"

"Easier said than done!" Said Luna.

"Less talking and more fighting!" Said Mary weakly as she was still in pain from the stab wound.

The small ink-like monsters basically surrounded the whole island while terrorising some of the civillians that hadn't reached down below to the safety bunkers with some of them being consumed into the ink and causing the ink monsters to change shape.

Naoya and Luna did all they could but their energy were diminishing drastically.

Then, out of nowhere, the Spider Enigma that was recovered by the demonic entity came from above and sent a powerful wave attack that forced the Kami siblings and the ink monsters to be gusted away.

Due to the strong gust, Naoya and Luna lost their grip on Mary and Zukafu as they landed by each other, holding hands. The Spider Enigma then approached closer to Zukafu while casting aside Luna and Naoya who had not yet given up.

Mary grabbed Zukafu's body and shielded it with her own. Mary shouted to the Enigma, "You'll never get your hands on Zukafu!"

The Spider Enigma grabbed Mary, saying "Let us agree to disagree!" And then throwing her to the side and doing so caused Mary to grunt in pain. The Spider Enigma lifted up the deceased body and said "Finally! You'll be one of us!"

The Spider Enigma turned around, going to where the entity but Mary wouldn't allow it as she endured her pain temporarily and ran after the Enigma.

Noticing this, the Enigma cheekily kicked at Mary with its legs but doing so, a strong bolt lightning came from above, shocking the Spider Enigma and forcing it to let Zukafu down on the ground.

After that, a spear that appeared different in design to Naoya's came from the same spot where the lightning bolt came from and stabbed its way into the Enigma's chest, causing it to scream in immense pain.

They looked up in the sky and saw Yu Kami as he descended down and upon seeing Zukafu lying underneath the Enigma, Yu flashed to there and threw the Enigma to where the ink monsters were as they collided.

He knelt down and looked at his deceased son before he hugged him softly. Luna and Naoya ran to their father whom upon seeing them, said "Luna, Naoya, I need you to take Zukafu out of here immediately!"

Yu then looked at Mary and walked up to her as he helped her up. He looked at the wound on her chest and stated, "You've endured enough... Naoya! Take her along with Zukafu to our home, I'll meet with you when I have dealt with them!"

He then handed Naoya something that appeared as a button.

Naoya nodded, saying, "Yes father." As he then carried Mary up and together with Luna, who had Zukafu, used the item and doing so, the four were transported away.

Yu then turned his attention to the Enigma and ink monsters.

The Enigma said, "Should have known you'd take your time! Acting the hero as always! Well... Heroes don't exist and that means you!"

The Enigma then roared, causing the ink monsters to attack.

Yu lifted his arm up and the spear inside the Enigma bursted out, causing it to scream even more and upon grabbing his spear, Yu lifted himself high into the sky and sent out a meteor shower of rods beaming with electricity as they are target at the ink monsters.

The rods dropped at a dangerously fast speed and hitted specifically at the ink monsters. And upon being hit, the ink monsters are forced to spit out the civillians were engulfed into their bodies, forcing the ink monsters to revert back into their original forms. Also while the rods protected the remaining civillians, including the freshly spitted out.

After the meteor shower, Yu landed in front of the Enigma while being surrounded by the ink monsters who have been now fried and turned into something that appeared like graphite.

The Spider Enigma attacks at Yu but it gets flown back to where the destroyed and the entity is. The entity, seeing the Spider Enigma on the ground, roars at whomever it may have been responsible.

When the smoke cleared, revealing Yu, the entity was triggered immensely, saying "You!"

Yu then commented, "Miss me, Izanami?" In a snarky manner.

The entity tried attacking Yu with its extended arms but Yu dodged them and even causing them to become immobilised.

Yu then stated, "It seems you haven't changed one bit..."

"When I finally escape this prison that you have sent me in, I'll be sure to dig my CLAWS DEEPER INTO YOUR SKULL!" shouted the entity, their voice intensifying horribly.

Yu then yawned, showing how much he didn't enjoy her talking as he says "Yawn! You were always so talkative! I guess thats the reason why you lost-"

The entity attacked again but Yu dodged and countered with a giant lightning string that hits the entity at the arms, causing them to scream in agony.
